One and Only

Preface

When I was younger I thought dating was overrated and gross. As I got older the less gross it became and the more overrated it was. I had crushes on guys, but the thought that having the boyfriend/girlfriend label was overrated. That was, until my senior year of high school when I knew I found my one and only.

I guess I need to start at the beginning. My name is Sarah Matthews, everyone calls me Sarah except for one person, my best friend, Emma's, twin brother, Aaron Coleman. He calls me Sadie.

Emma and I met in first grade and have been best friends ever since. As we got older, Emma became more boy crazy and I became more, "poetic" I guess is what you would say. I have crushes, but have never been in love and I have never been in any kind of relationship with a boy either. I never really saw the need for it. 

That makes my dad happy.

Once Emma and I became freshman in high school our lives started to change. Especially for Emma. She has always lived in her twin brothers shadow, but never as much as she did in high school. Summer into freshman year, Aaron glowed up, and I mean big time. He had every single girl in that high school wrapped around his finger. I always had a crush on him, but never did anything about it because Emma would hate me for the rest of her life. Even though I have a crush on him, I was never at his feet.

That's it for a little preview into my earlier life. Now it's time to start where I don't even know where it is going to lead. You are going to be on this journey with me, whether you like it or not. So, hit back, relax, and enjoy the train wreck that is my fucking life.
