One and Only

Ch. 23

Friday

It is 5 in the morning when Aaron's alarm goes off. This entire week has been so fun. I turn to face Aaron and he is on his phone. Once he notices that I am looking at him he says, "Good morning." "Morning. We are about to leave and so far, Hailey and Adam have not had sex, which means I get to wax your armpits." "We still don't know if they did last night or not." "I don't think they did. We would have heard them." Aaron shrugs and gets up. "What, no good morning kiss?" Aaron smiles and climbs on top of me. He kisses me and I kiss him back. "I love you." "I love you too. Now we need to get ready." "I already packed up. So now I get to watch you walk around in your gray sweatpants with not shirt on packing your stuff." Aaron softly laughs and puts his bag on the bed. I get out of bed, put on a pair of Nike shorts, a t-shirt and grab my stuff.

We go downstairs and immediately Hailey runs up to me and says, "You will not believe what happened last night." "What?" Aaron walks away and helps Adam put our stuff in the car. "Adam and I had sex last night." "What?!" "Yeah, it was amazing. I know it isn't like me, but I couldn't help myself, it just felt right, you know." "Yeah I do know." As Hailey continues to tell me all about what her and Adam did last night I can't stop thinking about how I have to go to Aaron's house while Emma is there and go swimming. I have no idea how it is going to work out.

"You ready?" Aaron asks getting me out of my trance. "Yeah." Hailey runs to the car and jumps into Adam's arms. "So, did Adam tell you?" "Tell me what?" "That they had sex last night." "They did?!" "Yep. Which means you won the bet. I am so nervous about going over on Sunday." "It's okay. I'll be with you the entire time." I give him a soft smile and we get in the car. Throughout the entire car ride Aaron and I held hands, listened to music together, and watched The Sandlot. By the time we get to LA it is almost 7:30 p.m. We drop Hailey off at her house first and when we get there Adam and Hailey cannot keep their hands off each other. "Man, they have sex once and they are already inseparable." I say as Aaron climbs over the front seat and honks the horn. "Some people have to go home and fight with their sister!" Adam and Hailey stop kissing and we watch Hailey go into the house. We then get to my house and Aaron and I get out of the car. "I love you and I'll see you Sunday okay?" "I love you too. Do I really have to go? I'm not ready to face Emma." "Hey, it's not like you are going to be by yourself. I'll be there with you." My parents then open the front door and I can see my dad with his arms crossed, looking at us. "Hey Mr. and Mrs. Matthews." "Hi, Aaron." My mom says with a really big smile. "Don't forget to ask your parents if you can come over on Sunday. If they ask, my parents will be there." "I won't forget I promise." "I love you." "I love you too." Aaron kisses me on the top of my head and I walk to the front door. When I pass my parents, I drop my stuff off at the foot of the stairs. "We missed you Sarah." "I missed you guys too," I say going to hug them. "Hey, can I go over to Aaron's on Sunday. We will just be hanging out, we won't do anything, and before you ask he said his parents will be there." "Will Emma be there?" my dad asks. "Yes, Emma will be there." "Okay good. I don't see why you can't go. Just make sure you have all your stuff for school on Monday." "I already do. Hailey and I got it before we left for the lake house." My parents and I talk about last week and how much fun it was for a little bit until I decide I need to go to bed. Once I say good night I grab my stuff and head to my room. I open my bag and see that Aaron put a new hoodie in it for me to wear. I love that he did that.
