One and Only

Ch. 50

I start to cry and through the tears I say, "I'm pregnant." Hailey and Emma's jaws drop. They then run to me and hug me, while I'm just standing there crying. "When are your parents getting home?" Emma asks. "They're both on a business trip and won't be back for two days." "Okay, you are going to stay with me." Emma says. I hug them tighter and we go pack a bag for me. Hailey gets into her car and Emma and I get into Emma's car. We get to the Coleman's house and Aaron isn't home yet. The 3 of us go inside and go straight to Emma's room. After about 30 minutes, Aaron gets home. Emma runs downstairs and I can hear her say, "Hey, Sarah is in my room." I hear Aaron drop his stuff and start running up the stairs. Aaron gets to Emma's room and I stand up and face him. He runs to me and gives me a big hug. I hear Emma start to close the door, but not shut it all the way.

"I'm pregnant." I say through the tears. "I'm so sorry," I continue. "It's okay. I love you so much no matter what. I promise, I won't leave you."

I cry in his arms for a few more minutes before, Emma and Hailey walk into the room and Emma says, "Hey, not to freak you two out, but mom and dad just got home." "Okay, thanks Emma," Aaron says not letting go of me. "Do you want to talk to my parents about this and see if they know what to do?" I was very hesitant, but ended up shaking my head yes and the two of us go downstairs.

We get downstairs and Mrs. Coleman notices that I have been crying. "Hey, is everything okay?" "Yeah, um, we need to talk to you and dad right now." Mr. Coleman then comes out from outside and Mrs. Coleman says, "Hey, Christopher, Aaron and Sarah need to talk to us." Mr. Coleman comes to the kitchen and stands next to Mrs. Coleman. "So, um, I don't really know how to tell you guys this, but, um," Before Aaron can finish his sentence tears start to roll down my cheek. "It's okay, you can tell us," Mrs. Coleman says. "Do you want to tell them or do you want me?" Aaron asks giving me a hug from behind to comfort me. "I will." Aaron nods and I get ready to tell them. "I'm, um, I'm pregnant."

Right after I said that I broke down and started crying.

All of a sudden, Mrs. Coleman walks around the kitchen island and embraces me in a big hug. "It's going to be okay. When did you find out?" "About an hour ago." Mr. Coleman then says something I never thought he would say. "You can stay here until your parents get home and then the 4 of us will tell them together, okay?" I nod my head. I feel so loved right now. "Do you guys know what you are going to do with it?" Mrs. Coleman asks. "No, we haven't really talked about it," Aaron says. "I'm going to give you the number for my OBGYN when I had Aaron and Emma. I will make the first appointment for you guys." "We will also help pay for the medical bills," Mr. Coleman adds. "Thank you so much. I was so scared that I would be living on the street by now." "We would never kick you or Aaron out. You're part of the family, Sarah," Mr. Coleman says. Emma and Hailey then come down the stairs and we all get into a big group hug. I know that sounds cliché, but that's what happened.
