Ch. 45

"Piggyback ride?" I ask Aaron. "You're sore from that?" "No, I just don't feel like walking." Aaron chuckles and then bends down so I can get on his back.

We get into the media room and Emma and Jacob are laughing. "Aaron, don't stop." They are saying while laughing. "Hey. I never used his name." "Oh, sorry. Daddy," Emma says. Jacob, Aaron, and I give her a weird look. "Ew. I did not like that. That felt weird talking about my brother like that." We all laugh and then Jacob notices that I'm on Aaron's back. "Wow, Aaron is that good?" "What do you mean?" Aaron asks. Jacob then points to me on Aaron's back and I say, "Oh, no. I just didn't feel like walking." "Mhm, sure." "No, really." I get off Aaron's back and walk to the couch. Jacob looks convinced and sits on the couch too. Emma sits next to Jacob and Aaron sits next to me. Aaron grabs a blanket and puts it over the 2 of us. Emma then turns on their Wii and we play Wii Sports. Before we know it, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman are home. "Aaron, can you come down here for a minute." Mrs. Coleman yells from the bottom of the stairs. "Yeah. One sec." Aaron finishes his turn in bowling and hands me his remote. "Bowl for me if I'm not back by the time it's my turn." I nod my head and he kisses my forehead before leaving the media room.

Aaron PoV

I go downstairs and see my mom and dad in the kitchen, putting away some stuff. "What's up?" I asking while sitting at the counter. "While running errands your mother and I were talking and wanted to know if you and Sarah would want to use the cabin for a few days. We thought that you guys would want to use it and hangout with each other alone before school starts." "Wait, really?!" "Yes, really. We would offer it to Emma and Jacob, but they just started dating and we think it is a little early for them to have a weekend away together," my mom says. "Makes sense." "You will only have 3 days there before school starts, if that's okay," my dad adds. "That is amazing. Thank you so much." I then jump out of my seat and run to hug my parents. "I love you guys." "We love you too." "Wait, school starts in a week though." "Yeah, which means that you have four days to pack and decide what you are going to do." "Oh, we can definitely do that." I hug them again and say, "Thanks again mom and dad." "You're welcome." I then run upstairs to tell Sadie the good news.

Sarah PoV

After about 10 minutes Aaron comes running into the media room with the biggest smile on his face. "Why are you so smiley? What did your parents want?" "My parents just offered our cabin to us." "Wait, like you and me or the four of us?" "Just the two of us." "OMG, really?!" "Yeah. We leave in four days." Now I know why he was so happy. "Wait, why didn't mom and dad offer me and Jacob the cabin?" "Because you two just started dating and they thought it would be a little early for you two to have a weekend away together." "I guess that makes sense." "I should probably ask my parents if that's okay." "Good idea," Aaron says. I then get up and go to Aaron's room to call my mom. She answers on the second ring.

Mom: Hey, how is everything?

Me: Everything is great.

Mom: Good I'm glad to hear that. So, why did you call?"

Me: Well, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman just said that Aaron and I could use their cabin to spend the weekend together before school starts. Is that okay? Can I please go?"

My mom doesn't say anything for a little bit and then finally answers.

Mom: That should be fine. When do you leave?

Me: Four days.

Mom: Okay, that should be okay.

Me: Yay! Thank you so much, mom. I love you.

Mom: Of course. I love you too.

I then hang up and jump up and down, because I'm so happy. I go to the media room and before I can sit down Aaron asks, "So, what did your mom say?" "Oh, she said I can go." A huge smile forms on Aaron's face, he stands up, and hugs me as tight as he can. I jump up and wrap my legs around him hugging him tightly.
