Ch. 38

Saturday Night

Emma, Hailey, and I are all in Hailey's kitchen baking cupcakes and messing around. All of a sudden Emma's phone buzzes. "You have got to be fucking kidding me." Emma says under her breath. "Is everything okay?" Hailey asks while mixing the ingredients. "Yeah. I have to make a quick phone call."

Emma PoV

My phone buzzes and when I pick it up I see a text from Jacob.

Jacob- Call me! I just found Aaron in another room with a girl. Don't tell Sarah.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me." "Is everything okay?" Hailey asks. "Yeah. I have to make a quick phone call." I go up to Hailey's room and call Jacob. He answers after the second ring.

Jacob: Hello?

Me: What the hell happened?! Did Aaron cheat on Sarah with some random girl?

Jacob: Hold on let me get to a quieter place.

After a few minutes of hearing people cheering and music blasting Jacob is back.

Jacob: Okay so here is what happened. I went to go find the guys because we somehow got separated. I went upstairs and started opening doors. I opened a door and saw Aaron and some girl on a bed making out. All of their clothes were on which is good.

Me: But he was kissing another girl. I knew this would happen. I knew he didn't love Sarah.

Jacob: I think you need to talk to Aaron because he does love Sarah he just fucked up.

Me: What did you do after you walked in on them?
Jacob: Well Aaron saw me and his eyes went wide. He pushed the girl off and ran towards me. I told him that he just ruined one of the best relationships he has ever had and that he needs to tell Sarah or I will.

Me: Okay. We have to let Aaron tell Sarah. It's only right that we do that.

Jacob: Yeah, you're right. Aaron needs to own up to his mistakes. What should we do?

Me: Honestly, I don't think there is anything we can do, but try to get him out of that party.

Jacob: I will. Oh wait, Aaron and the other guys are walking towards me.

Me: Okay. Keep me posted.

Jacob: I will.

Jacob hangs up and I go downstairs. "Who were you on the phone with for such a long time?" Sarah asks. "Oh, it was just Jacob. Some weird stuff is happening at the party." "Then we should go," Hailey says. "NO!" when I said that Hailey and Sarah looked shocked. "They were leaving the party anyway when we hung up." "Oh, then I'll text Adam to come here and all of us can hang out." Hailey then walks to her phone and texts Adam. He answers right away and says that they are on their way.

Sarah PoV

As Hailey texts Adam I get a text from an unknown number. It was a picture of Aaron and some girl kissing. What the fuck! I put my phone down and act like nothing happened.

A few minutes later the guys walk through the front door.

I see Aaron and walk towards him. I slap him across the face a run out the door. I hear Aaron call my name, but I don't turn around. I get to my car and realize I don't have my keys. Shit! I turn around and see Aaron right behind me. "Why did you slap me?" "I got a text from an unknown number and it was a picture of you and some girl making out! Care to explain?" "I was going to tell you, I promise." "When did this happen?!" "Tonight." "This happened a few minutes ago?!" "Yes." Aaron looks down at the ground like he was ashamed when he said that. "Why? Why would you kiss some girl?" "I didn't mean to I was tipsy and she kissed me. She then grabbed my hand and took me to an empty bedroom." "So, you had sex with her too?!" "No! I would never do that." "Oh, you wouldn't have sex with a girl, but kissing her and making out with her is okay?" "No, that's not what I said." "Then what?! Tell me what you meant by kissing her!" "I didn't know what I was doing. I know this looks really bad, but I can promise you we did nothing. All she did was kiss me. I tried to pull away, but she dug her nails into my wrist and wouldn't let me go. I tried to push her off of me but she wouldn't get off. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to do that and I didn't mean to hurt you. I am so sorry." "Sorry can't fix what you did. I get that you tried to push her off, but I wasn't there so I don't know if you're telling the truth. I want to believe you. I truly do, but I don't know." "Sadie, have I ever lied to you?" "No." "So, why would I start now? I love you so much." We are quiet for about 30 seconds before Aaron continues. "I understand if you need space from me for a while, but I want you to know that I would never, ever, cheat on you or lie to you." I walk away and wipe a tear rolling down my cheek. I go up to Hailey's room and grab my car keys. I head to my car as fast as I can and just start driving.
