Ch. 39

Aaron PoV

Sadie is gone. I lost her. She got in her car and drove off, probably out of my life. I watched her car leave Hailey's house and when she was gone I walked inside. I walked past everyone and towards the living room, sitting on the couch not saying a word. Jacob and Logan sit next to me on the couch as a pillow hits my head. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" I hear Emma yell. I just ignore her and pull out my phone. I go to Instagram and pull up the profile of the girl that kissed me. "Seriously, you open up the girl's Instagram that you kissed!" I ignore what Emma says and block her. I also take her number out of my phone and block her on every social media platform I can think of. "Hey at least he blocked her," Adam says while sitting down in the chair next to the couch. "Yeah, after he cheated on Sarah. I knew this would happen the second I said that I was okay with them dating. I knew he didn't love her as much as he claims he did," Emma said. I was so done with her. "Emma, stop! I know I fucked up! I don't need you reminding me! I just lost the best thing in my life because some girl kissed me and tried to have sex with me! Don't you know that that fact is going to kill me for the rest of my life! I lost her and there is nothing I can do! And don't you dare say I didn't love her because you weren't there! You don't know ANYTHING!" I pause, 'I'm gonna go home. I'll see you guys later." With that, I stand up and leave. I get to my jeep and drive home.

Sarah PoV

I don't know where I'm going, I just know I need to get away from everything. I can't believe Aaron would do that. I can't believe he cheated on me with some girl. I turn on the Glee version of the song Roots Before Branches and start to cry uncontrollably. I stop the car at a diner, sit at a table, and pull my phone out. I text Hailey and Emma my location and tell them to come alone.

Emma PoV

Aaron leaves and the 5 of us are sitting on the couch, silent. All of a sudden mine and Hailey's phones buzz. "It's Sarah! She just sent us her location and told us to come alone," I say. "Y'all need to go, talk to her. The 3 of us will leave." Adam says and then kisses Hailey. Hailey and I nod and grab our shoes. Hailey grabs her car keys and we head to Sarah's location.

We get to the diner and see Sarah sitting in a booth looking down. We walk in and see her drinking a strawberry milkshake. She sees us and gives a small smile. I sit next to her and Hailey sits across from us. The waitress comes over and we order milkshakes too. "Are you okay?" Hailey asks. Sarah looks at her and shakes her head no. She starts to cry and I give her a hug. "I can't believe he cheated on me. I never thought he would hurt me like that. I trusted him. I loved him." "I know. It sucks." I say while hugging her. The waitress brings Hailey and I our milkshakes and the 3 of us order our food. "I know something that will make you happy." Hailey says giving Sarah hope. "Emma, told her brother off and he got so upset he stormed off and left. Also, Emma has a crush on Jacob." Sarah looks up and then at me. "You have a crush on Jacob?! What happened to Timothee?" "Timothee got a girlfriend and I gave up. How did you know I had a crush on him?" "Oh, come on Emma, it's so obvious." "So, it's true?" "Yeah, it's true. I have a SMALL crush on Jacob." The 3 of us start to laugh and continue to have a good time.

Sarah PoV

While at the diner with Emma and Hailey I forgot all about Aaron and what he did to me. At around midnight the diner was closing and we decide to leave. We get to our cars and I tell the girls that I think I'm just going to go home and I'll pick my stuff up tomorrow. They understand and I give them a hug. We get in our cars and I drive home.

When I get home, I see that my parents are still awake. I park my car, lock it, and go inside. "Hi sweetie, I thought you were spending the night at Hailey's with Emma," my mom says "Yeah, some stuff happened and I decided to come home." "What happened? You girls didn't get into a fight, did you?" "No, we didn't. The guys went to a party, while Emma and I were at Hailey's. While at the party Aaron cheated on me. He tried to explain, but I wouldn't let him. I didn't want to be around anyone so I left and ended up at a diner. Hailey and Emma met me there and we had fun. Emma went back to Hailey's but I decided to come home." "Aww, sweetie. I'm so sorry. Do you mind if I say something?" "Sure." "I would hear him out. Aaron doesn't seem like the type of person that would hurt you on purpose. I think it would be smart for you to listen to him and after you listen to what he has to say, you then decide whether to forgive him or not." "I'll think about it. I'm gonna go to bed. Thanks mom." "Of course. If you need me for anything else, just let me know." "I will." I give her a hug and go up to my room. Maybe my mom is right. Maybe I should listen to his side of the story again. The first time he explained his side I was in no mood to listen to him.
