One and Only

Ch. 25

I pull away and look into Aaron's beautiful brown eyes. I get lost in those eyes every time. We move to his bed and I sit on his lap. He puts his hands on my hips and kisses me again. I cup his face and melt with each kiss. There is then a knock on the door and Aaron pulls away and looks in that direction. Emma is standing at the doorway and I get off Aaron's lap. "Mom and dad want to know what you want for dinner." "Tell them that I don't care." Emma give a soft smile and I look at my phone. "Oh my gosh, I have to go home." I grab my stuff and Aaron and I go downstairs. "Bye, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman. Thank you for letting me come over." "Of course, sweetie, any time. We love having you over." I hug Mrs. Coleman and Aaron walks me to my car. When we get to my car he opens to door and says, "I'll pick you up tomorrow around 7:30 okay?" "And since it's a half day tomorrow we can go get lunch together," I add. "Sounds amazing." Aaron kisses me again, I get in my car, and drive home.

Monday

My alarm goes off at 6:45. I do not want to get up at all, but at least I get to see people I haven't seen in a while. I get out of bed, brush my teeth and hair, and put on a little bit of makeup. I put my uniform on and roll my eyes. Thank goodness I only have one more year of wearing a stupid uniform. At 7:15 I go downstairs and make a bowl of cereal. "Good morning, sweetie." "Good morning mom." My dad is sitting on the couch watching the news and my mom is sitting at the kitchen table getting ready for work. I sit at the island and scroll through my phone. By the time I finish breakfast and looking on Instagram it is 7:25. I get up, put my bowl in the sink, and grab my backpack. "Do you need me to make a lunch for you?" "No, mom. Aaron is taking me to lunch." "You guys are going to skip school?!" My dad looks up from the news and over at me. "What no?! It's a half day." My dad signs in relief and Aaron texts me. "Anyway, I have to go. Aaron is here." "Okay, have fun today." I give my mom a soft smile and head out the door. I get in Aaron's car and kiss him. Aaron has the top off on his Jeep and the breeze feels amazing. It takes us about 15 minutes to get to school and when Aaron parks, everyone is looking at us. Adam and Hailey pull up next to us and we get out of the car. I walk over to Hailey's car and ask, "Why didn't you ride with Adam?" "We haven't really made our relationship official yet." "But you two had sex at the lake house." "Yeah, I know, but its more complicated than that. Adam and I haven't been dating for 2 months like you are Aaron." "Yeah I guess you have a point." I walk over to Aaron and Hailey walks next to me. As we walk into the cafeteria I notice more people staring at us. "Why is everyone looking at us?" I ask. "They aren't used to you guys dating. They think you have been dating for a little bit. They don't know that you have been dating for 2 months," Hailey says. Aaron then stops in the middle of everyone and kisses me. I haven't even put my backpack down and we are already kissing at school. He pulls away and we both sit down. Everyone is still staring at us, but I don't care. All of a sudden Logan Taylor and Jacob Mitchell sit next to us. "Hey guys, what's up?" Logan asks sitting next to Aaron. "Nothing much," Aaron answers. "We saw that kiss. How long have you guys been dating?" Jacob asks sitting next to me. "Since the last day of school." When Aaron says that Logan drops his food and Jacob nearly chokes on his water. "Two months?!" Logan and Jacob say at the same time. Aaron and I just nod our heads. "Man, you go to the Bahamas all summer and you miss a lot," Jacob says.

There is one thing you should know about Jacob and Logan. They are best friends and have pretty much grown up together. They went to first grade together and have been best friends ever since. Hailey, Aaron, Adam, Emma, and I met them our freshman year and of course the guys instantly connected. Hailey, Emma, and I hung out with them, but not often because of the pact. Emma didn't want Hailey and I to hang out with her brother too much so one of us wouldn't catch feelings for him, but of course that didn't really work. I think that now that Hailey is dating Adam and I am dating Aaron, the two of us will become closer with Logan and Jacob. Logan, Jacob, Adam and Aaron are all on the Varsity Men's soccer team together, so they have also made a connection because of that.

The bell rings and the six of us head to class. Aaron walks me to my first period class and luckily it is right across the hall from his first period class. "I'll see you after class and we can walk to second period together." "I am so happy that we ended up in the same study hall." "I am too." Aaron kisses me again and then I go into my class and he goes into his.

My first period class was Astronomy and it was really interesting. I loved it. The bell rings and I meet Aaron right outside the door. He grabs my hand and we walk to the other end of the school to get to study hall. We sit next to each other and whisper the entire time. My third and fourth period were fine. Boring, but fine. I don't understand why we are required to take Theology. Fourth period I was up in the library in the Writing Center. Since it was the first day of school it was pretty much just a study hall. At noon the bell rings and I meet Aaron in the small gym. We then walk to his car and figure out what to eat for lunch. "Did Emma come to school today?" "Yeah why?" "I just didn't see her today." "Well she drove to school and her car is still here so if she didn't come to school then I don't know how her car got here." I smile and we get into his car and go to lunch.
