CHAPTER 122 NURTURING US

Guys, maximum suggestions were of Rajasthan so I’m going with a Rajasthan trip.. Adding my personal experience in it for more personal touch.. Thank you for all the suggestions, will include other places in the further parts.. Let’s start with the chapter now..
Shehnaaz was gulping in the chaat while talking to them and planning the dates, the tickets, the hotels and everything..
The curd was cold and it started effecting Shehnaaz.. “Shehnaaz, Maine wish puri ki, apne bhai hone ka farz nibhaya.. Ab aadha khaa li hai na ab bas.. Man tha, thoda kha li, now please leave.. Sardi badh jaegi wapas and Sidharth tere sath sath hamari bhi band baja dega.” Said Kaushal and took the bowl of Dahi Papdi chaat from her hand and she agreed..
“Ye garam pani pee..” said Mehul and she gulped it down too..
Sidharth had a busy day yet he called Shehnaaz thrice asking how was she and if she ate… “Sidharth, tu kab wapas aaega?” asked Shehnaaz.. “Bas ek ghante ka shoot bacha hai.. Mai call karta hu nikalne ke time.. Will talk to you on the way back home baby..” said Sidharth and as he was about to cut off the call her heard her sneezing again..
“Shehnaaz, baby, teri sardi to thik ho rahi thi.. Cheekh abhi bhi aa rahi hai? sab thik to hai na?” asked Sidharth and She agreed, “Haa, bas kabhi-kabhi aa jati hai cheekh.. Tu shoot karle, fir baat karte hai hum..” said Shehnaaz and disconnected the call..
“Ab bhadkega.. Mujhe to abhi se dar lag raha hai..” said Mehul and Shehnaaz took it casually.. “Bimar hu, daatega thodi..”
“Beta, tu bimar hai wo sabko pata hai.. Isliye daatega kyu ke jante hue bhi aapne khaya dahi chaat..” said Mehul..
“Acha, relax karo.. Abhi uske aane se pehle plan karo.. Fir bacha hua discussion baad me karenge..” said Kaushal who was working on his laptop, planning the bookings of the tickets..
An hour passed very soon and Sidharth called Shehnaaz up, “Hey Baby, nikal gaya hu.. Kaisi hai tu? Kaisa lag raha hai ab?” asked Sidharth and Shehnaaz replied, “Thik hu.. Aaja bas jaldi se..” said Shehnaaz and Mehul came up with her medicines…
Shehnaaz disconnected the call and gulped in the medicine and the managers left..
“Kal jab bhi Sidharth nai rahega toh call karna, hum aa jaenge aur Hotels book kar lenge.. Tickets are done.. And, take care..” said Kaushal and left with Mehul.. “Acha sun, agar Sidharth zyada bhadka to mera naam le lena..” said Mehul before leaving which touched Shehnaaz.. He calls her his sister and was actually behaving like a brother..
Sidharth came in an hour and saw Shehnaaz’s nose all red and her nose was blocked again.. She was coughing and sneezing as well..
“Shehnaaz, tera cold thik ho raha tha.. Baby aise achanak kaise badh gaya..” asked Sidharth, taking her in his arms all worried for her.. He took her to the bedroom and made her sit on the bed.. “Tu yehi baith, mai abhi aaya.. Mom kaha hai?”
“Wo unki friend ki beti ko aaj bacha hone wala hai to hospital me hai mom..” said Shehnaaz and Sidharth walked into the kitchen to make ginger tea for her..
He peeled off the ginger and was about to throw the peels in the dustbin when he saw a bag of a restaurant and got curious..
He made the tea, took it for her and she started sipping it.. “Shehnaaz, tune bahar ka kuch khaya hai kya?” asked Sidharth in a confused yet stern voice..
She turned her face away and he got suspicious.. “Maine kuch pucha hai Shehnaaz.. Jawab do..” said Sidharth, his tone was way too serious in this one and she couldn’t stay quiet anymore..
She had to answer and she did, “Wo mai….” And she stopped.. “Wo mai kya.. Aage bolo.. What did you eat han?” asked Sidharth, holding her arms and making her look into his eyes..
She feared his anger though she knew he wouldn’t do anything to her but she had made a mistake and her health was concerned in this one.. She knew he would be mad at her this time..
“Sorry Sidharth… Wo itne din se simple khaa rahi thi.. Mujhe cheekh nai aaya subhe se.. Mai sochi ni hoga kuch..” said Shehnaaz, her voice trembling and her eyes started to well up..
“This wasn’t my question.. What exactly did you eat? Also, don’t you start crying now.. Mai pighalne wala nahi hu..” said Sidharth, her heart ached listening to it but she was at fault this time..
“Dahi Papdi Chaat..” said Shehnaaz in low voice but enough for him to listen to..
He left her arm and walked away from her, his fingers brushing his hair away from his forehead, “Fuck man.. Shehnaaz, couldn’t you wait for someday? Han? Itna kya craving ho raha tha? Maine ek baat manne bola tha wo bhi nahi hua tumse? Kitna pyar se samjhaya tha.. Kya problem hai tumhari?” said Sidharth and she looked down further.. regretting what she did.. She tried not to cry and accepted her mistake..
He looked away knowing that if he would look at her sad face he wouldn’t be able to stay angry..
“Kaun laake diya?” asked Sidharth and she didn’t want to take Mehul’s name but had no option.. He was way too angry and she had to tell him, “Mehul..”
“Wow, nice.. Ab isko samjhana padega..” said Sidharth and was about to call him when the doorbell rang and it was Mehul himself..
“Aaiye aaiye.. Kaise hai aap sir?” asked Sidharth, sarcastically..
“Sorry na bhai..” said Mehul.. “Nai nai, sorry kya? Bol na kya khaega.. Mai order karta hu..” said Sidharth and walked into the bedroom followed by Mehul.. He saw Shehnaaz sitting on the corner of the bed…
She saw Mehul and tried to save him, “Iski koi galti nai hai..”
“Tum chup baitho..” growled Sidharth and she shushed away.. “Bhai, aadha hi khai.. Pura nai khai hai.. Please shant ho jao.. Uska fever bhi hai abhi tak..”
“Ha toh isiliye mana kiya tha na.. Mujhe nai pata hai kya isko kis cheez se kya hota hai.. Mera dimag sadh raha hai.. Har cheez se sambhalo fir madam kaand kar leti hai.. Do din sahi se rehna nai hota hai..” said Sidharth and Mom entered as the door was left open..
“Ye darwaza kyu khula hai aur itna kyu chilla raha hai?” asked Mom as she entered the bedroom and saw Shehnaaz’s head hung low..
“Meri bachi ko kya hua? Ro kyu rahi hai? Sidharth tu chillana band kar dekh uski tabiyat..” said Mom wrapping her arm around Shehnaaz..
“Ye jo aapki bachi hai na, isne dahi papdi chaat khaa ke apna zukhaam badha liya hai.. Ab aap dekho.. Kisko support karna hai.. Mera toh dimag kaam nai kar raha hai..” growled Sidharth and walked out of the bedroom..
“Shehnaaz, mai ek baar bahar gayi aur ye kiya tune? Mai kadha pila rahi hu taaki tu jaldi thik ho jaye.. Bache, tujhe samjhna chahiye na.. Tu samjhdar ho gayi hai aur fir ye.. Very disappointed..” said Mom and left the room… Shehnaaz couldn’t handle moms’ anger.. For once, she could take all the anger of Sidharth but Mom, she was Mom’s little baby but she was angry.. That made Shehnaaz drown in the pool of guilt and regret and she couldn’t control her tears anymore.. She sobbed and sobbed until she got the courage to walk to mom’s room and ask for forgiveness..
She saw Sidharth standing in the balcony of hall and she walked to Mom’s room.. Sidharth saw when she entered mom’s room and walked behind her.. He looked from outside and didn’t go in..
Mom was tired, she was scrolling down her phone and saw Shehnaaz coming in… She looked away and Shehnaaz cried harder..
“I am so sorry Maaa.. Abse kabhi aise nai karungi.. Please maaf kardo na… Aapka gussa nai liya jaa raha hai.. Mere dard ho raha hai yaha bho zyada.. Mai sachi promise karti hu kabhi aise nai karungi.. Health ke aage kabhi kuch nai rakhungi..” said Shehnaaz, still sobbing..
Well, mom is mom and she couldn’t see Shehnaaz like that.. Sidharth was seeing everything and his anger increased when he saw what happened next..
“Acha, bas-bas.. Ab ro mat.. Idhar aa.. Aise hi tabiyat kharab hai abhi tak..” said Mom and pulled Shehnaaz in a hug..
Sidharth then entered the room and growled with anger, “Yehi hota hai.. Ye kuch kaand karti hai, fir ro deti hai aur aap maaf kar dete ho.. Bhot badhiya.. Yehi agar mai karta to mujhse do din naraz rehte ho.. Isko maaf kar dete ho.. Mai jaa raha hu Didi ke pass.. Nai rehna yaha..” said Sidharth and walked out.. TBC!
