“Sidharth, Relax.. wo akeli thodi hogi..”
“I saw her Vikas, what else do you want.. I am not saying she is dating him.. I am just pissed because she didn’t even talk to me and left just like that.. She is my wife; I won’t ever doubt her on this cheating stuff. I am just angry and pissed at her..”
“Okay, Lets go home.. She will be home soon.. I will drop you home.. Ask Adith to be with her..”
He called Adith and he said, “Shehnaaz Ma’am ne jane bol diya abhi just..”
“Tu ghar chale jaa.” Said sidharth now even more pissed..
“Itna gussa aa kyu raha hai.. Kyu samjh nai raha hai tu Shehnaaz ko?” asked VG who was equally worried for both Sidharth and Shehnaaz.. He was feeling bad as he was feeling responsible for their fights and misunderstanding..
“I don’t know.. I just don’t know what’s happening and why am I reacting so much..”
The drive back home was silent and Sidharth was constantly checking his phone.. He was expecting her to text him or call him..
Let’s go to where the last part ended.. Shehnaaz waited for Madhu to come back from the loo and said, “Maa aaj suddenly Pune ke liye nikle hai.. Unki friend ki tabiyat nai thik hai.. Mai jati hu Sidharth khaega nai akele.. Maine parcel leli hu..”
Madhu agreed and they hugged each other.. She went out and saw Adith..
“Tu jaa.. Mai chali jaungi..”
“Sidharth bhai ne sath rehna bole hai..”
“Mai bol rahi hu na tu jaa.. mujhe important kaam hai.. ye ghar me rakhwa dena.. Kavita Tai ko bol dena dinner yehi hai..”
He couldn’t argue and he called Sidharth as Shehnaaz left in the cab.. It was late evening.. Shehnaaz had asked her driver to come to the Gurudwara in her Kodiaq (If you guys remember, Baaz gifted her Kodiaq in Rakhi in my old fiction..)
He left as Shehnaaz called and Sidharth asked VG to park at the guest’s parking and they walked home..
Adith knocked the door in a while as he was behind them only..
“Ye kya hai?”
“Ye Shehnaaz Ma’am ne dene bole hai.. Dinner hai aaj ka..”
Sidharth grabbed it and asked him to come early the next day.. He agreed and left..
“Mom!” sidharth called once VG settled on the couch.. He didn’t find her anywhere and thought that she might have gone to his sister’s house..
He grabbed a bottle of Alcohol which was gifted to him a few days back and got ice and glasses and also, some dry fruits..
“Sidharth, Ye tarika nai hai sahi.. Please don’t drink out of anger.. ye galat ho jaega..”
“Please don’t be a b*tch..I am f*cking pissed right now.. She is sending food and all, she is eating alone with a man she knows I hate and you expect me to sit here like a fool, waiting for her.. No, never..”
Vikas was somehow handling him. He didn’t drink as he had to drive back home.. His mom called and sidharth said, “Mai thik hu, Mom aa jaengi thodi der me.. you go, I will manage..”
“Keep informing me.. As your friend and director, I am madly worried for both of you.. Please let me know once she is home.”
“I will, thanks Man..”
Vikas left and Shehnaaz reached the Gurudwara.. She washed her hands, went inside and listened to the Kirtan..
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she covered her face and sobbed silently.. She was questioning what did she do wrong... Sidharth did not even try to understand what was affecting her.. The thing which triggered her was the childhood where her Mami would beat her.. She couldn’t slap him with comfort because she had those old flashbacks back yet again...
Sidharth was drunk.. He didn’t even realize that mom wasn’t home... Shehnaaz walked out of the Gurudwara and asked her driver to take her home...She opened the door with her key and it was dark.. She thought Sidharth ate and slept.. But as she went in, she was shocked to see Sidharth standing in the balcony with a glass in his hand.. She walked to the balcony when Kavita Tai stopped her, “Pata nai kya hua hai.. Sidharth baba bhot der se aise pee rahe hai.. Aap sambhal ke jao unke pass..”
“Khana khaye?”
Kavita Tai nodded in a no and she asked her to hear the food and set the table..
She walked to the balcony and she hit the bottle by mistake.. She kept it away and Sidharth turned around to look at her..
“Oh! You are back... Wow! Aaiye aaiye..” He said in his drunken voice..
He walked in and pinned her to the wall and spoke to her, “Kaha thi?”
“Sidharth, khana kha le Pehle.. Fir baat karte hai.. Chal please... Maa nai hai Bombay me.. Pune gaye hai Didi Jiju aur Naira ke sath..”
“Mai jo puch raha hu wo uska jawab de. Kaha thi aur kiske sath thi..”
“Nai bataungi.. Sidharth ab na tera bho zyada ho raha hai... Pehle sahi hulia bana le.. Aisi halat me mujhse Baat mat kar.. Hath chor mera..”
“Haa ab mera hulia to aisa waisa hi lagega... Jaa apne Vishal ke pass.. Uske sath khaa khana.. Bhad me Jaa... Just fuck off..”
Ahhh! He hurt her again with his words.. He didn’t know about Madhurima and since he was drunk he didn’t even let her speak yet again...
Her heart broke into millions of pieces and she jerked him off and walked out of the house..
Her driver came to give back the keys after parking the car but was shocked to see her back again..
“Mujhe Little Space drop kar de.. Fir chala jana ghar... Mai nai reh sakti yaha abhi..”
Sidharth was too drunk to follow her back.. He called her name, “Shehnaaz..” Kavita Tai came running out of the kitchen only to see Shehnaaz walking out of the house..
She wasn’t understanding how to handle the situation.. She walked close to Sidharth, “Sidharth Baba.. Aap khana kha lo..”
“Tai, Shehnaaz ko leke aao. Abhi please..”
Kavita Tai walked to the lift but she had already gone.. She still went down and found Shehnaaz waiting for her driver to get the car..
“Shehnaaz beta. Please upar chal.. Wo tera Naam le raha hai baar baar..” requested Kavita tai...
Just then Karan came with her car, “Tu raat ruk sakta hai?” asked Shehnaaz and he agreed..
“Tu yehi ruk.. Mai call karungi tab drop kar dena...”
Shehnaaz and Kavita Tai went home... She couldn’t leave him like that... Mom wasn’t in Bombay so she tried to control her anger and walked towards Sidharth..
“Mai tere har sawal ka jawab dungi, Pehle tu Khana kha le.. Chal..”
He agreed.. He sat on the table but was unable to even make a bite properly.. Shehnaaz took the plate from his hand and he hurt her more, “Sham me Vishal ko khila, Raat me mujhe.. Subhe fir koi aur chahiye hoga.”
Shehnaaz was controlling.. She was making herself understand that he is drunk.. Its Drunk and Angry sidharth talking and not her Putthu..
She ignored his words and fed him.. He ate a few bites and was losing himself in sometime.. She held his arm and walked with him to their bedroom, changed his clothes and made him sleep...
“Subhe uthega to Nimbu Pani de dena usko... Usne jo bhi pee ke kiya, Maaa ko nai batana, aur usko bhi nai batana.. Mai Baat karungi usse.. Aur ek baat.. Mere bare me puchega to kehna ghar aayi thi mai, lekin wo piya hua tha isliye mai wapas chali gayi.. Kaha gayi ye mai aapko bhi nai bata rahi..” Said Shehnaaz to Kamla Tai, grabbed a pair of clothes for the next day and left with Karan for the Little Space..
Sidharth slept the whole night because of the effect of alcohol.. Shehnaaz didn’t eat anything at night and somehow lay on her bed hugging a pillow..
Sidharth woke up with a heavy head and found himself properly tucked in the bed.. He walked out and asked Kavita Tai and she answered as told by Shehnaaz.. He went to work and so did Shehnaaz.. Vikas went to meet Shehnaaz and as he walked in Shehnaaz fainted and he was on time so he grabbed her in his arms.. He made Shehnaaz lay on the bed of her vanity and walked to Sidharth’s vanity..
Sidharth was in a guilt as he heard about Shehnaaz and he hurriedly went to her Vanity..
“She was not alone.. Look at Madhurima’s insta story.. Vishal was not even in the picture.. I got the information that he was there for a meeting and he saw Madhu and Shehnaaz so he joined them and when You went in, Madhu had gone to the loo to fix her outfit.. Do you even know this shit? And now how will you justify your fucking outburst at her for no reason..” Shouted VG and Sidharth had no answer..
