Chapter 22

The morning made everyone happy and satisfied.. Naira got up and saw Shehnaaz sleeping with Sidharth on his bed..“May God bless both my Mama and Mami and keep them happy like this together forever…”
The doctors had informed Shehbaaz, Kushal, Kaushal, Sidharth’s family and they all took a sign of relief..Shehbaaz came in but as he entered he saw Shehnaaz curled up and Sidharth’s arm protectively around her.. He felt good and he went out and walked out, working on his plan..Shehnaaz woke up in sometime and saw Sidharth sleeping peacefully.. She was about to get up but his arms tightened his grip around her, “Leti reh..”
“Bebu, tu jaaga hua hai..” She caressed his face and lingered her thumb on his lips..He opened his eyes and looked at her.. Her eyes were glued to him already and he blushed as his wife was gawking at him..
“Sidharth, mujhe uthne de..”
“Nai, mujhe tu chahiye mere pass.. Mai nai reh sakta tere bina..”
“Mai tere pass hi hu, doctor ne kaha tha na breakfast ke pehle dressing change karwani hai.. Mai tere pass hi baithi rahungi..”
She kissed his cheeks and he agreed to let her go.. She got up and called the doctor and met Naira in the adjoining room.. She hugged Naira, “Hosh aa gaya usko. Kaleje ko thandak mili.”
She said and Naira kissed her forehead, “Maine kaha tha na mere Mamu sher hai.. Neend puri kar ke uth gaye jaise..”
The family came and hugged Shehnaaz too and went in to see Sidharth.. His eyes were searching for his Mom and Shehnaaz..
But they weren’t present inside at the moment.. Mom was outside, Shehnaaz with her..
“Shehnaaz, kaise jau andar. Hosh aa gaya lekin main emere bache pe itna gussa kiya, wo meri wajah se aise hospital me padha hai..”
“Maa, aise mat socho.. Dekho use..” she said turning mom around and showing his face through the glass window..
“Dekho, kaise uski aankhein yaha waha mandra rahi hai.. Aapko hi dhundh raha hai, mai janti hu. Chalo Maa..”
She asked Shehbaaz to get everyone out so that Sidharth could get time with Mom..
She took mom inside and everyone left. Sidharth was afraid to meet eyes with his mom..
“Sidharth! Idhar dekh..” Said Shehnaaz cupping his face and turning it towards mom and she held mom with her another arm and tears rolled down both their eyes.. She made Mom sit close to him and she was about to walk away..
“Shehnaaz, yehi reh tu..” said Mom and she sat next to Sidharth’s legs, gently pressing it while Mom and Sidharth spoke..
“Mom, I am sorry for disappointing you.. I will make things fine I promise..”
“Shushh! I am sorry aise phone pe bhadakne ke liye bina puri baat jaane..”
“Mom, please don’t say sorry..”
“Mera bacha!” Said mom as she went forward to hug Sidharth who was sitting on the bed and the duo hugged it out, wiped each other’s tears and kissed their foreheads..
The nurse knocked the door as she had to change the dressing and Mom went out… Shehnaaz held his hand tight and he just looked at her..
The pain seemed to be less when she was with him.. He closed his eyes as the nurse cleaned the blood and he tightened his grip around her hand and clenched his teeth.. She knew he was in mad pain but one good thing happened was that his wound had stopped bleeding..
The nurse left and Shehbaaz got breakfast.. Sidharth held shehnaaz’s hand and squeezed it, “Shehnaaz, Mai thik hu.. Relax na Meri Jaan..”
“Ha pata hai kitna thik hai, hatho ko dekh.. Quilt hata ke pav dekh apne.. Kya ho gaya hai tujhe.. Mai tujhe jaldi se thik hota dekhna chahti hu..”
She broke down as she face palmed herself and Sidharth pulled her close, “Oh Baby, don’t cry.. Meri Jaan, I promise I will be fine soon.. Pain nai hai sachi.” He tried cajoling her and kissed her forehead..
Shehbaaz knocked the door to tell them know he had come.. “Aaja Chotey, Teri behem ki shakal dekh.. Isko bol aise rote na rahe..” Said Sidharth and Baaz held her in his arms, “Sidharth ki baat sunti hai na Motto, chal usko Khana khila dey.. Fir mai tujhe khila dunga..”
She agreed and Shehbaaz went out seeing the rest of the members of the family..
Shehnaaz made a bite with her hands and fed Sidharth.. “Kal se kuch nai khaya hai mera Putthu, mai pyar se khilaungi tujhe.. Muh khol chal..”
Sidharth felt a different peace as he ate from her hands.. He held her wrist, “Shehnaaz, Meri jaan.. I am really sorry for everything I wont repeat this mistake ever.!”
“I know Bebu.. ab bas.. Chal baate baad me kar, nashta pura hoga to dawai deni hai..”
He made a face as he heard about medication and Shehnaaz chuckled.. He finished eating and she handed over the medicines to him..
She knew he would not take his medicines easily.. He becomes a baby when sick and she handles him effortlessly..
“Mera Nonu Putthu, tu pyara hai na.. Chal.. Chetti Chettii dawai lele, fir dekh mai tujhe bhot sari pappiya dungi..” She said and  he took the medicines and pulled her close to him and kissed her.. Her lips tasted like honey to him and he sucked onto her lips intensifying the kiss.. He had to break the kiss to let her breathe..
“Chal ab.. Baaz khila dega tujhe.. Mere pass baithi reh, Maa ko bhi yaha bula dey..”
“Tu maa ke sath reh, mai Baaz ke sath kha ke aati hu..”
He sulked again, “Ha ja chali ja chor ke aise hi. Mat reh mere pass.. Pyaar bhi mat kar mujhe.”
How much he craved for her love and how much he needed her..
“Sidharth, Maa ke sath akela baith thodi der.. Wo guilt me the ki unki wajah se tera accident hua hai.. Thoda time de maa ko..” explained Shehnaaz and he agreed.. Mom also needed some time with Sidharth..
“Jhappi aur ek pappi deke ja na. Please.”
“Please na bol Putthu.” She said and came close to him, hugging him softly and pecked his lips for a second only..
“Aisi halki jhappi aur sukhi pappi. Hadh hai. Pyar karna hi bhul gayi hai..” He ranted..
Shehnaaz bent forward and took his lips in hers and kissed him hard, sucking his lips hard making him happy.. And she then hugged him again and he wrapped his arms around her…
“Ab jau? Aa jaungi thodi der me..” She asked and he smiled as he allowed her to leave him for sometime..
Shehnaaz went out and asked Mom to go in, “Maa, jaiye Sidharth ke pass baith jaiye thodi der.. Aap please haste haste jao uske pass.. Wo sachi chahta hai aapke pass baithna..”
Mommy hugged her, “Shehnaaz! Tu kis mitti ki bani hai, meri bachi.. Itna sab sun ke tu yaha usko defend kar rahi hai, usko maf kar di.. Mera beta hai mai janti hu, lekin jaisi tu hai, waisi mai kya bolu, mere pass shabd hi nai hai.. I am so proud of you and Thank You, mere bache ki zindagi me aane ke liye..” said Mom blessing her, “Hamesha khush reh..”
“Koi nai Maa.. Mera hi hai wo.. Thoda uska outburst ho gaya.. Koi Baat nai. Hota Hai..” said Shehnaaz dragging Mom towards Sidharth’s room..
As mom went in, Shehbaaz hugged Shehnaaz.. “Happy Birthday Motto! Mai janta hu Sidharth hospital me hai.. Lekin ab wo hosh me Aa Gaya hai isliye wish kar diya.”
“Thank You Black Crow!” She giggled.. And Baaz felt good to see his sister laughing finally..
Mommy Shukla went in and talked to Sidharth for sometime.
“Abhi kaisa lag raha hai bache?”
“Mai thik hu.. Naraz to nai ho ab bhi.. I am sorry Mom, I won’t disrespect her again.. I promise.”
“I know beta, now stop apologising. I know. Relax.”
“Maa, wo doctor ka prescription pass karo na..” said Sidharth.. Mom did and his eyes went to the date on the corner..
“Aaj Shehnaaz ka birthday hai Mom.” Said Sidharth!
“Maine bhi dhyan nai diya.. Itna sab hua tha ki mai bhul hi gayi..”
“Doctor se pucho na mera discharge kab hone wala hai.. I want to go home..”
“Maine puch liya hai.. Bas kuch der me discharge ho jaega.. Shehnaaz papers banwa rahi hai.. Aur sab dekh rahi hai kya karna hai kya hai..”
“Ab ye moti mera dimag kharab karegi. Ye kha wo kha aisa kar waisa kar..”
“Sidharth, teri care karti hai. Tabhi.. Plan something for her birthday”
“Already planned Mom.. I knew about her birthday obviously. So I had planned everything.. I will take Baaz’s help and execute the plan..”
“chalo good, usko bulati hu ab.. Spend some time with her.. You both need each other..” said mom as she left kissing her son’s forehead..
