CHAPTER 79 NURTURING US

Sidharth sat up and took her phone in his hand and kept it aside.. He lifted her up in his arms and made her sit on his lap..
“Baby, I have seen the audition clips in the break today.. Dekh, kabhi na kabhi to naye logo ko mauka dena padega na.. Har bada star jab apna first appearance diya tha, tab koi nai janta tha.. Ab sab jante hai.. Zyada mat soch na darling..”
“Wo sab samjh Aa raha hai lekin at least female lead to koi achi ho sakti thi na.. Baaki naye logo ko lao.. Aise kaise tu kisi ke bhi sath karega..”
“Shehnaaz, Meri Jaan.. I know you want me to work with a good actor and trust me, Riya has done a great job.. I like her acting skills..” Sidharth was trying his best to convince Shehnaaz..
“Acha sun, weekend pe na Little Space me Pehle apni meeting hai Ad shoot ki uske baad ‘Pyaar itna bhi asaan nahi’ ki bhi meeting hai.. Waha riya aaegi. Tu mil lena usse.. Dekh lena.. Mai tujhe audition bhi dikha dunga.. Yaha hai nai, wahi hai Little Space ke laptop pe..” said Sidharth and she agreed..
“Chal baby so Jaa.. Kal se do din shoot hectic hai..” He said and pressed his lips on her forehead.. She was maintaining a distance.. She wasn’t liking the fact he was working with all unknown people..
He didn’t force himself on her as well.. She slept facing her back towards him and he just hugged her from behind and they fell asleep..
Shehnaaz was finding it difficult to sleep.. She was constantly changing positions.. She somehow managed to sleep and woke up before Sidharth…
She got up from the bed and freshened up.. She called Rita Maa, informed her about the two days shoot and spoke to her for sometime and disconnected the call..
She made hot coffee for herself and went to the balcony of the drawing room.. She settled on the Swing and the memories of the old interior when the swing used to be in their room’s balcony, flashed in front of her eyes.. She just smiled and heard the birds chirping..
Shehnaaz was sipping the hot coffee and didn’t realise that Sidharth would be waking up soon.. He woke up alone in the bed and groaned softly.. He freshened up and went straight to the gym room without searching for Shehnaaz..
Once Shehnaaz was done with her coffee she took a shower and got ready quickly..
She asked the house help to pack breakfast for her since she wasn’t in the mood to eat at the moment.. She was scrolling down her phone and saw how people were rooting for Sidharth and Riya.. Making hashtags.. Pairing her Man with a Co star who is known by none..
Her heart ached at these things and so she just went away from the social media and her phone rang.. It was Asim..
Sana- Ha Asim, good morning..
Asim- Hey Sana.. Are you both ready?
Sana- Mai ready hu.. Sidharth ko dekh ke aati hu.. Tu hamare sath Aa raha hai na?
Asim- Haa.. Breakfast kari?
Sana- Nai, pack karwai hu. Itna jaldi khane ki adat nai hai aur bhook bhi nai hai.. Tu kiya?
Asim- Nai, mai bhi soch raha tha parcel le lunga..
Sana- Mai hi le aati hu.. Tu aaja fir niklenge..
They disconnected the call and Shehnaaz went to their bedroom and saw Sidharth getting ready…
“Breakfast abhi karna hai ya pack karwau?” she asked without looking at him and he just replied plainly, “Nai khana..”
Shehnaaz walked out of the bedroom and packed a bigger parcel for all three of them and Sidharth came out, carrying the bag they packed for the shoot..
He simply walked out of the house and Shehnaaz followed him..
Both were stealing glances at each other, waiting for Asim to come.. Sidharth couldn’t control more and wrapped his arm around her as they were seated on the back seat..
She didn’t protest.. She felt home in his arms.. “Acha, sorry for making you feel bad.. Please trust me on this Baby.. Mai nai karunga kuch bhi aise hi bina soche.. Will you smile now please?” He said looking straight into her eyes.. “Abhi time hai na shoot hone me.. Abhi apne abhi wale kaam me focus karte hai.. Fir dekhenge..” He ended his speech and she listened to each and every word..
She hugged him back, her arms tightly wrapped around his neck and he rubbed her back.. She cried softly and stopped crying in a few minutes..
Asim came and sat on the front seat and Adith drove to the shoot location…
Sidharth and Shehnaaz had gone past the previous moment and were focusing on the present.. Asim greeted them, “Hey Guys! Sorry, thoda late ho gaya..”
“No issues man.. Did you eat?” asked Sidharth and Shehnaaz replied, “Nai, maine teeno ke liye pack kiya hai..”
“Acha.. Sahi hai..”
The drive to work was filled with casual fun between the trio but the way some fans were pairing Sidharth with Riya was still troubling Shehnaaz.. Sidharth didn’t notice this.. And Shehnaaz tried to ignore this feeling as much as possible..
They reached the location, got into their vanities and the shoot started one by one and the day ended in the blink of an eye.. They spent a little time with Tara in the breaks and she got really friendly with Sidharth..
Sidharth enjoyed playing with her and she seemed to be a stress buster…
Once, they both were done for the day, they had a few hours to sleep before they had to start shooting again.. Sidharth and Shehnaaz locked the vanity door from inside, changed into comfy tshirt and pajamas and snuggled into the bed as they fell asleep.. They set up an alarm before sleeping….
They both were tired and were asleep within seconds of laying on the bed..
They woke up as their alarm rang and went out. It was early in the morning around 5am.. He held her in his arms.. No one was awake.. They were the first ones to wake up..
“Thak gayi hai baby?” He asked and she just snuggled into him.. It was cold and he was warm..
“We will be in Little Space foe the weekend.. We will be fine baby.. I know us.. Hum ladhte bhi hai to bhi Hume sath rehna hota hai na.. Lets take this as work.. Dekh, do mahine baad this release hone wala hai and mera shoot jald chalu ho jaega.. Please let’s take this as work and let us not take our time and our space because of all this..” said Sidharth and she came out of his arms and kissed him..
She understood how much the project meant to him so she ignored the fans who were trending Sidharth with Riya.. The day went again in shoots and they left for Little Space directly..
Sidharth was curled up on her lap.. She smiled and brushed her fingers in his hair.. She kissed his forehead.. They reached, had dinner and were on the bed.. “Shehnaaz kuch bol na. Please..”
“Sidharth, hum sath hai aur sath rahenge.. Kuch nai hoga.. So ja ab.. Tere dark circles Aa gaye hai..” said Shehnaaz as she patted his forehead a little and they both dozed off to sleep..
They woke up in the Sidharth’s studio and he held her close as she slept.. She rested her head on his chest and she kept running his fingers in her hair..
She opened her eyes and found him massaging her scalp.. “Good Morning Bebu!” she wished him and he smiled at her, pressing his lips on her forehead..
“Good Morning Baby..” said Sidharth and they both freshened up.. They finished breakfast and their team had arrived for the signing procedure of their ad shoot.. It was a busy morning and they finished the signing process along with breakfast..
Sidharth lifted her in his arms and took her to the bedroom.. “Ab hamara time.. I want to be with you..” said Sidharth..
There was some weird vibe between them.. She was with him, close to his heart.. She kept her hand on his chest and rubbed it softly..
“Sidharth, tu thik hai?” asked Shehnaaz and Sidharth held her hand, playing with her fingers, “Ha baby…. Mai thik hu.. I just am nervous.. The whole cast is coming here.. I don’t know..”
Shehnaaz got up from his lap and went to get a bottle of oil.. She gave him a good head massage and they showered together..
She cooked in the little kitchen and Sidharth was staring at her all through the time..
“Sidharth, sab thik rahega.. Mat soch itna.. Please… Mai thik hu… Mere liye soch ke apna dimag mat sadha.. Samjh na Bebu.. Mai sachi thik hu.. Tu abhi se sochta rahega to kaise chalega..” said Shehnaaz as she was cooking..
“Shehnaaz, tujhe kuch to cheez bother kar rahi hai.. Tu tera phone use karti hai to tere chehre pe ek alag sadness dikh rahi hai.. Please bol de kya hua hai…” Said Sidharth as he walked close to her and hugged her from behind.. His hands were wrapped around her waist..
“Sidharth. Kuch nai hai aisa. Meko banane de khana..” said Shehnaaz trying to get away from the topic.. Sidharth asked her again in a stern voice and she told him..
