Chapter 40

Shehnaaz was in pain, mad pain.. She clenched onto Sidharth’s tshirt when Mrs. Singh cleaned Shehnaaz’s wound of the head…
“Bas thoda sa hai meri Jaan…” Sidharth tried to pacify her and the doctor informed that She will be giving her anesthesia to keep her away from the pain of stitching… Sidharth sighed in relief thinking about it and Shehnaaz didn’t leave his hand the entire time…. The doctor did the necessary thing and also gave medications for pain and the ointment as well….
Till the time anesthesia was working, Shehnaaz felt no pain… But as its effect started leaving her head started paining…
Shehnaaz stayed strong and didn’t cry at all.. Sidharth could see the pain in her eyes as she was clung onto him…
“Naira, bache go check the necessary formalities…”
“Mamu? Mai Jau?”
“Yes, that’s how you will learn.. I am here only if you need to ask something…” said Sidharth as the doctor allowed them to leave once the formalities are done…
“Shehnaaz, meri Jaan… I know tujhe pain ho raha hai… Mai tujhe ghar leja ke sula dunga…”
She rested her head on his shoulder and his heart ached so much to see her in pain and all quiet… He wanted his baby back…. He wanted her to smile again…. Not for him but more for herself… He brushed his thoughts away when he saw Naira coming towards them with pride…
“I did it Mamu, filled all the information correctly, double checked it and they approved it!” said Naira making Sidharth proud of her…
“We are proud of you darling, Chalo lets go home now…” said Sidharth as he held Shehnaaz from the side… He looked at her ankles and her walking speed was too slow.. He understood her ankles were aching so he picked her up in his arms…
“Sidharth, dheere dheere chal lungi…”
“Shut up..” He said and pressed his lips on her forehead and Naira called Adith asking him to get the car in the entrance of the hospital…
Vineet walked ahead opening the door for them and they went home….
Sidharth fed her lunch and Naira and Mom left the couple alone for some time….
“Shehnaaz, thoda sa aur kha le please… Medicines heavy hai… Please meri Jaan….” He said when she was refusing to eat more… She agreed at his cute request and finished the left-over food with her loving husband’s hand…
“Sidharth, tu bhi Maa ke sath khaa le…”
“Shushhh… Mai kha lunga… Abhi tu so pehle… Mai tujhe sula ke khaunga..” said Sidharth and took out comfy night wear for her…
He helped her to change her clothes making sure not to hurt her wound… She lay down and he sat in front of the bed’s headrest and took her in his lap…
She wrapped her arms around his toned torso and he wrapped his arms around her… He bent down and took her lips in his… How much did she miss feeling his lips on hers…? She broke down but didn’t stop kissing him… He responded with equal passion…. He broke the kiss to let her breathe and patted her head softly making her sleep peacefully…. He waited for good 25 minutes and she was fully asleep… The effect of medicines was visible… He kept her head on the pillow and grabbed his pillow, covered it with his worn shirt and she hugged it thinking it to be Sidharth…
He looked at her as she slept… Her pouted lips, her dark circles under her eyes and her pink nose… Her mouth slightly opened making her look absolutely like an angel but hurt with all the wounds and marks on her body… He brushed his fingers in her hair and kissed her forehead a few times and touched his forehead with her, tears rolled down his eyes but he wiped it soon and left the room…
“Mom, aap aur Naira Shehnaaz ke pass baitho please… Mai bas ek ghanta me aa rha hu…”
“Jaa kaha raha hai?”
“Bhot zaruri kaam hai, warna nai jata aise usko chor ke…. Please abhi koi sawal mat puchiye…”
“Sidharth, take a shower and then go…”
“Aane ke baad shower lunga, zarurat padegi tab..” He said and stormed out of the house…. Kaushal and Mehul were in the Police station with Arjun, working on the papers to be presented in the court against Chetan… They lifted their heads up when they heard Sidharth coming in without a knock and banging his fist on the wall again…
Before Sidharth’s entry, Chetan was very vocal and was constantly making statements like, “Mai bahar nikal ke tum sab ki band baja dunga..”
“Galat insan se panga liye ho, you don’t know what can I do..”
“Just shut up Chetan… You don’t know who Arjun Rajput is and with whom you have messed up… Mere samne ye jo akad hai na wo side me rakh.. Tu saale gunhegar hai har proof hai mere pass aur neech ganda aadmi hai…” said Arjun..
Arjun left Chetan in the smallest cell and went to his cabin… Now let’s go to Sidharth’s entry in Arjun’s Cabin..
“Sidharth, tum yaha… Shehnaaz ke sath raho we will manage everything…”
“Maine bayan suna Shehnaaz ka… Arjun, you are one of my best of school days… That bastard has hurt my wife a lot and I want you do a favour…”
“What exactly do you want?”
“I want to hit him… Please… I want to hit him like you Policemen hit him…”
“Sidharth, I understand your situation… And I never told you, but Ashok Uncle once saved me from hitting a car and I owe this to you… I will get the area cleared so that none of the constables see you and we will come along…” said Arjun and Sidharth was shocked to know about Arjun and his father’s thing which he decided to let go for a moment and walked in like a king… He folded the sleeves of his shirt as he walked with anger flowing through his eyes and his veins popping out dangerously…
“To aa gaya Sidharth Shukla…”
“Chetan, you bastard, just keep your mouth shut and see what cones through your way now and what will I do with you!” said Sidharth clenching his teeth making Kaushal and Mehul scared as well…
Arjun hung Chetan upside down and tied his hands with the help of Kaushal and Mehul….
“Ab ye sab kar ke kya matlab.. Mujhe jo karna tha… Shehnaaz ko choona tha wo maine kar liya..” said Chetan and laughed like a devil… His laughter didn’t stay for long when Sidharth slapped him hard on each cheek back to back… Chetan tried to take Shehnaaz’s name again…
“Shehnaaz ke hatho me mere haath ka nishan chor diya hai maine… Hamesha dari hui rahegi.. Kisi ko mana nai kar paegi ab dosti karne se… Mere hath hai uspe..” said Chetan making sidharth mad with anger… He took out his belt and started hitting his back and torso with it while abusing with each hit…
“Zyada bol raha hai saale.. Tujhe mai batata hu…” Sidharth was talking less and hitting more…
He hit him with his legs too… He wasn’t getting satisfied he slapped him again multiple times and held his head in his hand and growled like a lion…
“Meri biwi ke sath itna sab kiya hai na… Ab tu dekh tu kaise is duniya se jata hai… Tujhe to mai zinda bhi nai chorunga…”
Sidharth had become way too hot and sweaty and he removed his shirt as well as he started hitting him more…
“Sidharth, bhai ab bas… Bhot hua ab.. mar jaega wo..” said Arjun trying to stop him…
Shehnaaz saw a bad dream and got up with a jerk, “Sidharth” She said as she woke up and found Mom and Naira next to her…
“Kya hua Mami? Bura sapna dekhe kya.. Relax karo aur so jao…” said Naira and Mom brushed her fingers in her hair and happened to touch her forehead, “Bache, tujhe bukhar bhi hai.. Tu so jaa..” said Mom as her body temperature was too high…
“Maa, Sidharrth kaha hai? wo thik nai hai… Usko kuch ho jaega…”
“Mami, wait, mai call karti hu aapke phone se”
Shehnaaz agreed but Sidharth didn’t pick up twice… “Kaushal ko kar” said Shehnaaz and Naira did…
At the Police Station, Mehul, Kaushal and Arjun weren’t able to stop the beast and Kaushal knew it was Shehnaaz calling…
Kaushal received the call and put it on loudspeaker, “Shehnaaz, Sidharth ko rok warna wo maar dalega Chetan ko..” said Kaushal and Shehnaaz got scared as she heard Kaushal…
“Sidhaaarrthh! Please chor de…”
“Kaushal, phone kaat..” said Sidharth and Shehnaaz knew what one thing will stop him…
“Sidharth tujhe meri kasam!”

Will Sidharth stop? Will Chetan be alive? How will things go? How will he react when he will get to know about her fever? Stay Tuned!
