Sidharth’s phone call didn’t go well with him.. He was remembering all the previous days and when Shehnaaz’s facial expressions changed when he apologized for using the statement, “Aaj iske sath kal koi aur chahiye.”
The way she felt bad again when he didn’t even mean it.. Sidharth understood the depth of how much did it effected her.. And mom! Oh what to say about that..
The conversation didn’t go completely in Sidharth’s favour. Mom had never taken sides during their fights but this time things were different and Mom knew he crossed his limits.. She got mad at him..
“You have disappointed me big time.. Sidharth, I expected so much from you when it comes to your marriage and you did this… Shame on You, Sidharth, shame on you. I don’t know how did she forgive you, after such filthy statements… Can you imagine someone saying this to Naira, or Preeti or Neetu? Tell me? Will you be able to take it?”
“No! No! please mom. I wont be able to take it please. I cant even imagine this. I am so sorry Mom.. I apologized to her and I have tried my best and she has forgiven me.. Maa, the built up because of the shoot made me mad.. Please don’t be upset with me..”
“Sidharth, she is someone’s daughter, sister and most importantly, she is the only daughter in law of Shukla family and you cant be disrespecting her so much all the time… I am highly disappointed, I cant even talk to you right now…”
Mom disconnected the call and called Shehnaaz immediately, “Shehnaaz! Meri bachi! I am sorry Sidharth ki taraf se..”
“Maa aap shant raho… Aapki tabiyat nai hona chahiye… Please…”
“Mai nikal rahi hu aaj sabke sath… Sidharth ko boli hi nai hu… Mera man hi nai hai usse baat karne ka..”
“Maa, please aise mat karo… Please.”
Shehnaaz somehow consoled mom and went to look out for Sidharth.. That’s when Adith told her about his accident..
Her heart was in her mouth and tears started rolling down her eyes and Badesha came from VG’s vanity informing Shehnaaz that Sidharth wasn’t there.. He was shocked to see her frozen and in tears..
“Sana, kya hua?”
“Wo Sidharth, maine kaha tha dhyan rakhne ke liye.. Uska..” She broke down as she started walking behind Adith and Badesha followed her.. “Shehbaaaa, uska accident ho gaya hai..”
Badesha called an ambulance and it came in the next 10 minutes.. The car that hit him was of Kushal Tandon and he felt extremely shocked to see a man like Sidharth walking all lost in the middle of the road..
Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth, his head was bleeding and so were his hands and his jeans was torn..
“I am so sorry Bhabi, Sidharth achanak aise road ke samne aa gaya. Maine jaan bujh ke nai kiya..” said Kushal.. Shehnaaz wasn’t in the minds to listen to him at that moment..
She held Sidharth in her arms and her white outfit got patches of his blood..
“Sidhaarth! Aankhe khol na Bebu, tune kaha tha na dhyan rakhega… Uth ja na… Aise kaise tu chup reh sakta hai.” She cried and the ambulance came… She accompanied him in it and Badesha, Vikas, Kaushal(Joshi, manager) followed the ambulance along with Adith, Jay and Mahhi..
Kushal(T) followed them too..
Shehnaaz held Sidharth’s hand kissing it multiple times, “Uth ja na Sidharth… Please.” She cried..
“Madam, please hath choriye, check karna hai.” said the doctor and she had to leave his hand… Her gaze was stuck to him and she didn’t even realize that she should call his mom..
She folded her hands and prayed for his good health.. “Baba Ji, sidharth ko kuch nai hone dena.. Please usko jaga do.. Mai nai jee paungi agar usko kuch ho gaya to…”
They reached the hospital and he was taken inside and the doctors were cleaning his wounds and Shehnaaz was waiting outside, looking at him through the glass window..
She made sure that he got A class treatment.. She asked for the best doctors and the best room for him.. She made sure nothing is taken lightly when it comes to his treatment and safety.. The others reached in another 10 minutes.. She was stuck to the window and didn’t move an inch..
Mehul reached there too and Kaushal, Mehul and Shehnaaz spoke to the doctor as he came out of Sidharth’s room..
In the doctor’s cabin-
“Kaisa hai Sidharth? Usko hosh aaya? Kab tak thik hoga? Mai uske pass jaa sakt hu.?” Asked Shehnaaz as she entered.. Baaz put an arm around her and pressed her arms to calm her down a little..
Kaushal asked, “Please say something.”
“See, the condition of Sidharth is not so good at the moment.. The wound on his head is little deep.. We are waiting ki hosh kab aaega.. Baaki blood tests kuch karwaye hai, usse pata chalega.. kafi blood loss hua hai.. weak to nai bol sakta kyu ke unme kafi himmat dikhai hai.. Hosh aaya tha unko kuch minute ke liye.. Shehnaaz naam le rahe the.. Aap mil sakti hai unse, lekin Sidharth hosh me nai hai.. Hosh me aane ke baad hi kuch bola ja sakta hai.. Mai 2 din observation pe rakha hai unko.. Danger lag to nai raha, lekin agar sir se khoon nai band hua to fikar wali baat ho sakti hai.. He needs a lot of blessings.. Kuch bhi hoga, there will be a full time doctor with you, you can call me anytime you need something..”
They walked out and Shehnaaz walked to his room and looked at his pale face, his hands had bruises and his head had a bandage tied with a little blood stain on it..
“Sidhaarth! Meri Jaan. Please uth ja naa.. Aise mat reh.. Baat kar mere se.. Dekh tune jo pehenne diya tha maine wahi daala hai.. Teri pasand Bebu..” She said as she cried, holding his hand and her lips pressing his forehead, his knuckles every now and then..
She didn’t leave him even for a minute.. She didn’t let anyone come inside except for Badesha..
He came in and stood next to Shehnaaz who was running her fingers in his hair, massaging his scalp softly..
“Shehbaaz, Uthne bol na isko. Nai sun raha meri. Dekh na. kya ho gaya hai.” She broke down very badly.
“Mai naraz thi na isliye ye aise hua hai iske sath. Sab meri galti hai.”
“Oye, Shehnaaz, tu maan gayi thi, tumlog ka patch up ho gaya bhul gayi kya..”
She nodded her head, “nai, mom ka phone aaya tha.. Unhone bataye ki Sidharth ki unse baat hui. Zarur mere bare hui hai aur ye fir sochne baitha tha..”
“Mom ko batayi hai?” asked Shehbaaz and she nodded in a no..
“Mai bata deta hu, tu sidharth ke pass hi reh.. Mai dinner leke aata hu.”
“Tu khale, Maine nai khana.. Sidharth jaagega to kha lungi..”
“Shehnaaz, Meri Motto, aisa na kar.. Usko khud acha nai lagega agar tu aise apna dhyan nai rakhegi to.. Please.”
The way Badesha was supporting his little sister was commendable.. the reason why she kept him close because she knew only he could love her selflessly..
He left her with Sidharth and Shehnaaz was constantly talking to him, thinking he would wake up.. But no, there was no sign of it..
She wasn’t the one who would give up so soon.. “Sidhaartth! Bebuu!” She kept chanting his name.. Tears didn’t seem to stop and there came a time where she had cried so much that her tears had dried up, but the pain in her heart on seeing him like that wasn’t reducing..
“Itna naraz ho jaega, Han? Aisa karega ab.. Nai sunega.. Mai aise hi bolti rahungi.. Tujhe uthna padega.. Please Sidharth.. Mai hu na tere sath.. Mai nai hu na naraaz.. Please Please Jaag ja.. Kyu nai sun raha hai..” She said and Shehbaaz entered with food..
He felt so helpless looking at his sister and Sidharth in that situation.. Shehnaaz held Sidharth’s hand and caressed his hair with another hand..
“Bebu, tu uth ja, fir mai teri har baat manungi.. Tujhe roz massage dungi.. Sidharth, Please uth jaa.. Nai dekha ja raha hai aise tujhe.. Jhappi daal na.. Sidhaaarrthh!” She broke down and Shehbaaz held her in his arms..
“Bas bas, himmat nai harni hai.. Sidharth strong hai aur tu bhi.. Tum dono Sher aur Sherni ho, yaad rakhna.. Chal ab aasu poch.. Usko has ke utha, dekh uth jaega jaldi..”
He wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.. He made her sit on the couch and fed her dinner, a simple veg sandwich..
“Bas aur ni jaa raha.. Mai sachi ni khaa paa rahi.. Adha khai na..” She said and walked to Sidharth’s bed again and kept talking to him, asking him to get up..
Shehbaaz informed Preeti Di about Sidharth’s accident and they directly reached the hospital.. They had already left for Bombay a few hours before and hence they were about to reach soon..
When will Sidharth wake up? How will Mom react? Shehnaaz, How will she manage such a situation? TBC!
