“Shehnaaz, Baby uth ja na..” said Sidharth as tears rolled down his cheeks as he looked at her wrist that had his finger’s marks, her wrist had become red blue and purple.. VG went to see if the doctor had come or not.. As he stepped out he saw a doctor and quickly got him inside..
“Dr. This is Shehnaaz, I came to her vanity in the morning and she fainted.. Please see what is wrong with her..” said Vikas holding Sidharth’s collar pushing him away from Shehnaaz so that the doctor could check her up..
He got away from her but his gaze was fixed on her.. He cursed himself for being so hard on her for no reason.. He walked out of the vanity and spoke to Karan..
“Tu kab aaya kal?”
“Ma’am ka phone aaya tha Gurudware bulaye the.. Mai jab pahocha to wo ek cab se akele utre.. Mai call kiya to wait karne bole.. Fir ghar le aaya.. Mai car park kar ke chabi dene aaya to Ma’am lift me aa rahe the.. Little space drop karne bole.. Wo wait kar rahe the utne der me mai car leke aaya.. Jab mai aaya to Kavita Tai unko upar bulane aayi kyu k aap unka naam le rahe the.. Ma’am ne mujhe rukne bole thodi der aur fir maine unko around 2 bje Little Space me chora.. Mai watchman ke sath hi tha kyu k pure area me koi nai rehta hai.. Ma’am ko akele nai chor sakta tha safety ke liye ruka tha.. Fir subhe unhone mujhe nashte ke paise diye, lekin khud khane se mana kar diye..”
Sidharth felt so bad, he felt like his heart was being pierced with a hundred pins at once again and again.. Ahh! Why is his anger so bad and why does he always end up making things wrong?
He went inside again and sat as the doctor told him, “Weakness hai.. Zyada major kuch nai hai.. Inhone last khana kab khaya tha?”
“Kal breakfast ke baad se kuch nai khai hai..” answered Sidharth and Vg was getting more and more angry.. He asked the doctor, “Kab tak jaagegi.. Aise behosh hui hai..”
“I am giving her some injections and let her rest for a day.. Once she will wake up, give her fluids first and then food..”
Sidharth nodded in agreement and the doctor left once he was done..
“Mai ghar leke jaa raha hu. Taking a day off..” said Sidharth..
“Fuck off, really.. Meet me tomorrow and see what will I do..”
He asked Karan to come along with him to drop Shehnaaz’s car back as he took her home in his car.. He held her in his arms and Adith drove home..
Shehnaaz woke a minute before they reached home but she was still drowsy.. He lifted her in his arms and took her home..
Kamla Tai felt a sign of relief as she saw them together but got worried for Shehnaaz..
“Sab thik hai? kuch banana hai Shehnaaz ke liye?” she asked with concern..
“Doctor ne juice dene bole hai fir kuch bhi kha sakti hai.. Aloo ke paratha bana do..” he said and sat next to Shehnaaz holding her hand in his…
“Shehnaaz, please jaag ja ab.. Gussa kar mere upar..”
She opened her eyes in half an hour and he looked at her, pleading for forgiveness.. He called Kaa Tai and she came with the glass of juice..
“ye peele Pehle please..” said Sidharth.. Shehnaaz wasn’t ready to take the juice from his hand..
“Tai aap dedo.. Shehnaaz please peele doctor ne bola hai.. Meri mat sun, doctor ki sunle please..”
She took the glass from Tai’s hand and gulped in the juice..
“Tai, mujhe bhuk lagi hai.. Please khana laga do, mai aati hu..”
She was avoiding Sidharth and he wasn’t shocked.. He knew she would do that.. He knew he deserved more shit..
“Shehnaaz, Meri taraf ek bari dekh to please..”
She didn’t.. She was hungry and angry.. As she got up, her wrist ached and he got up too as he came closer, “Sidharth distance maintain rakh mere sath.. Hath lagane ki koi zarurat nai hai..” she said in an angry yet straight tone and walked out of the room..
She ate an early lunch and he waited for her Patiently… she walked inside the room and he followed her..
“Sidharth… Maine har baar.. Har baar tera har emotion samjha hai, har gussa dekha hai, bardash kiya hai aur maaf kiya hai.. Lekin kal jo tune kiya hai.. Tujhe aadha pata bhi nai hai..”
“I know Shehnaaz.. I know maine bhot badi galti kar di hai.. Please mujhe saza de.. Mai kuch bhi karne ko tayar hi. Jo tu bole.”
“Pehle sun le ki mai tujhe thappad marne se kyu dat rahi thi..” she said as she took out a bag and started packing her daily stuff in it while she spoke freaking Sidharth out in a really bad way..
He was getting extremely restless.. He was getting crazy but he told himself he deserved even worse..
“Jab mai intensity dekhi wo scene ki, mujhe thoda zyada gussa aur negativity lagi.. Meko flashback Yaad Aa Gaya jab mujhe Bachpan me Mami ne mara tha.. Mai tabhi nai Maar paa rhwi thi tujhe.. She held the picture of Her family and tears rolled down her eyes.. She kept the picture in the suitcase and zipped it up and continued..
“Mai kal Madhu se milne gayi thi.. Vishal andar tha uski koi meeting thi same hotel ki conference room me.. Hum dono baithe the wo aaya to khali hi hello hua, Madhu washroom gayi tab tak maine socha khana le leti hu, sath khaenge.. Maa Pune gaye hue hai.. Isliye maine hamare liye khana pack karwaya… Adith ke sath nai rehna tha mujhe kyu ke mai tujhse gussa thi..”
“Fir pata hai.. Maine kya kiya wo bata bas..”
Sidharth was standing resting his back on the wall.. Shehnaaz went close to him and held his face with utmost anger, her four fingers in one cheek and her thumb in the other, “Tune mere hath pakda aur aise diwal pe khada kiya.. Bakwas kare Jaa raha tha.. Kaha thi kai kiske sarh thi.. Jaa apne Vishal ke pass aur kya kya.. Guilt ran through each nerve of Sidharth and Shehnaaz continued, “Sidharth Shukla, Tune kal ko line cross kari hai na, mere dil ke andar lagi hai.. Tune bhot pyar diya hai mujhe mai manti hu, lekin kal mujhe Afsos hua, tujhse pyar karna jaise ek galti ho meri.. Mai Garv se kehti thi ki tu mera pati hai lekin tune mujhe sharminda kar diya Sidharth.. Maa nai they isliye kal maine jaise taise tujhe khana khila ke sula diya tha.. Lekin ab, aur nai ho sakta mujhse.. Mai Jaa rahi hu… ab Mujhe akela chor dena… Mai Jaa rahi hu..” said Shehnaaz leaving his face.. She held the suitcase in her hand and was about to walk off when he tried to hold her but she was quick enough to jerk his hand off and leave!!!
Sidharth was taken aback.. He went numb.. He didn’t know how to react.. He cried.. He went on his knees and cried loudly.. Shehnaaz could listen to him breaking down as she waited for the lift to come.. But she didn’t stop.. She was hurt… Sidharth was going mad.. He was realising all the things and he understood why was she behaving like that… He called Vikas..
“Ab kya hua hai?” asked VG as he was already angry with him..
“Vikas, wo chali gayi.. Chor ke chali gayi mujhe.. Mai mar jaunga Vikas.. Wo bas chali gayi..” He then started crying… “Mai Aa raha hu ghar.. Tu wahi reh.. Just don’t leave your house..” said VG as he asked his driver to take him to Sidharth’s place..
Shehnaaz had already left.. She reached where she wanted to, closed herself in the bedroom and broke down… she cried till she fell asleep.. And Boom!
Now? Where did she go? Will he follow her? Will she ever come back to him? TBC!
