Audrey's POV
"Where do you think he's taking you?" Jocelyn asked me as I spread the outfit options on my bed.
"I don't really care honestly." I shrug just liking the idea of being with him again.
Jos jumps carefully on the bed to not spill her popsicle. Her eyes look over the set of clothes. She takes a look before pointing at the one on the far left.
"This one is cuter. Also shows the girls more." She winks at me and I shudder in laughter.
"That was the goal." I smile and with that started to get dressed. As I finished spraying some perfume the doorbell rang and Jocelyn's eye lit up.
She did some kind of squeaky scream before pulling me down the hall to the main door.
"Are those flowers for me?" My dad's voice echos past the living room followed by a burst of shy laughter who must be Ricky. "I'm just messing with you."
"Audrey! Ricky is here-" Mom started to yell for me but stopped once I dashed next to her. Her hands caress the flower petals. "Why didn't you tell me he'd be coming over?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise. Surprise!" I say in a singing voice walking closer to Ricky. "Actually I also wanted to tell you that-"
"You guys are back together?!" Mom gasps looking at us.
"Yeah, how did you know..." I follow everyone's eyes and turn behind me. I find Jos holding up her phone where he wrote down "raudrey is back ;)".
She perks up a smile and hides her phone. Ricky bites the inside of his cheek and nods trying not to laugh.
"But yeah we are." I turn back to my mom and dad. Andi walks in from the kitchen completely lost.
"I didn't even know they broke up?" Dad turns to whisper at my mom and she shushes him.
"And we have to go somewhere so I'll see you guys later?" I blindly reach for Ricky's hand.
"I'll take good care of her. We'll be back soon." Ricky tugs at my arm signaling me to start walking. "And sir I'll make sure to get you roses next time," Ricky adds as we start to walk to the door.
"I like sunflowers actually." Dad laughed.
"Noted." Ricky taps his temple and we wave goodbye.
"Is it cool if we go to the Cafe I like? Or you want anything else?" He asks me as he merges into the main street.
"I'm okay with the Cafe," I answer and he gives me a thumbs up. I start to look around and notice his car is clean. There's no crumbs on the floor and the pile of receipts is gone. My eyes spot a tiny red bag with a silver ribbon in the back seats.
I tried to lean back to get a better look when his voice interrupted me. " Don't worry you can open it once we reach the cafe."
"Why didn't you tell me? I didn't get you a present." My eyes linger on the bag for a few more seconds before turning to face him.
"You being here is a present on itself." He grins.
"I'll keep that in mind for when Christmas and your birthday come around." I cross my arms watching his lips turn into a smirk.
"Don't forget valentine's day." He added.
"Noted." I did the same thing he did to my dad.
Once we get to the Cafe there are actually more cars than last time. We won't be the only ones this time around. I start to step out of the car and he tells me to stop.
