Family is very personal to some people. I use to not have a problem with talking about mine; If I was asked I would tell long stupid stories all day. Like when Andy took me shopping for the first time for girl products when both are parents were working. We were both uncomfortable the whole time. I remember how he called his girlfriend to help.

He was more nervous than I was. He would constantly ask me if I was okay, or what I'd prefer to use, which the eleven year old me didn't know there were options on the first place. Once his girlfriend came into the store he calmed down a little. Now that I go back to that memory the embarrassment i felt is replaced by laughter.

Yet I guess I could understand why Ricky wouldn't want me to know about his family, now that my brother and dad aren't with me, sharing their life just seems wrong. But yet I want to know about his.

''Jocelyn is there anything else?'' If Ricky won't tell me I'll have to try my best to do my own research.

''He has two brothers named Justin and Marc. Uhm and he likes Spider-man. Why are you so interested?"

''During the past week I've asked him about how his life as a kid was and both times he basically told me to mind my own business.'' I hear my mom call for me once again. ''Jocelyn I'll call you later alright?''

''You better,'' I nod and turn my lock my phone while I start speed walking to the kitchen.

As soon as I entered the kitchen the air changed. There's a small string of tension between my mom and me. She's looks at me, and pushes the chair in front of her back so I could sit. I lay my phone beside me as I took a seat.

''I'm guessing no news?'' I keep my eyes on the piece of chicken and poke at it with the fork.

She takes a deep breath ,''No news,'' I nod and take a bite. ''How about you? When are they going to tell you that you made it.'' She's trying to change the conversation which is different from a few months ago where that's all she would talk about.

''You still don't know its going to be me,''

''No, but I have a feeling you will.'' She kicks me a little making me look up to meet her eyes.

''Well Bella said in a week or so.''

''Oh not that long then. Did you have fun like I told you?'' She raises her eye brows as she takes another spoon full of green beans.

''Uh.. actually yeah I did.''

''Did you take any pictures?'' My mouth was full so I nodded yes to her. ''Let me see.'' I unlock my phone and go to gallery.

She placed the spoon down and started swiping and xooming. ''Who's this guy?'' I look up and see the picture of Ricky and me.

''Ricky, he's in the band,''

''Why are you two sleeping together? And so close! Look at where his hand is Audrey!'' Mom's mouth is wide open as she xooms in and out.

''We were playing the star game and we fell asleep,'' I went in to get my phone back, but she pulled it farther away from me.

''The star game? You haven't played that in years.'' She looks up from my phone tilts her head to the side.

''It was the first thing that popped in my head to make things less awkward,''

''Do you like him?'' I opened my mouth and closed it back again. ''You like him honey!''

''I like him as a person... at times,'' I like his kind acts like when he helped me with my foot, yet then there's also his sudden burst of anger like when he walked out. I don't know how to feel about him.
