Audrey's POV

The sky was growing thicker with layers of gray and the rain felt like peddles once it the skin. We were crowding by the biggest tree we could find inches apart from one another. I still can't believe we managed to lose each other when we were less than 20 feet apart. 

''Well this is fun,'' Emery leans forward and smiles. After he sees neither Jos or I smile he looks up at the sky. ''Looks like it will clear up. I can see some sun rays.'' 

''You think the rest are okay?'' I say feeling drops of water roll down my cheeks. 

''Yeah I'm sure they're doing better than we are.'' He answers back. 

''I hope Jon is okay. I should go and see if I can find him.'' Jos starts to take a few steps away from the tree when Emery and I pull her back.

''That's not a good idea. Let's wait for it to clear up a bit more then I'll go with you.'' Emery proposes and Jos just nods. She goes back to leaning against the bark of wood tapping her nails against the tree trunk. 

After a few minutes, Emery is right and the clouds start to clear up. ''Ha I should be a weather person on tv.'' He cheers as we walk back to the trail. 

We all start to yell out and look around for the others. Going deeper into the trail we finally spot Hadley tieing her shoes behind a bush then the rest come into view. 

I see Ricky start to jog towards me and give me a brief 1-second hug, ''Hey are you alright? It came down pretty hard?''  

''Yea we hid under a tree,'' I gave him a small smile and started to look around. ''Wait where did Jocelyn go?'' I ask starting to move my head in every direction possible. 

''She probably went to find Jon,'' Emery mumbles and lets out a breath. 

''I told her to wait.'' I bit my lip and cross my arms. 

''Hold up I thought Nyla was with you people?'' Liam asks as he walks up to us after it took him forever to realize his girlfriend is missing.

''She was behind us but we lost her too,'' Emery tells him and Liam starts to curse under his breath. 

''Lets all just walk back and see if we can find them?'' Hadley suggests and we do as she says. We start to go down the trail to where we last saw them. We called out for all three of them but the only response was of the birds. 

Emery and I chose to check in a different direction but still keeping everyone in view. He picks up a stick and starts to break it into smaller pieces. I look up to him and his eyes seemed heavy. 

''Emy are you okay?'' 

''Yeah I'm fine, it's just I noticed something today.'' 

I wrinkle my eyebrows, ''What is it?'' 

''It's stupid, forget I said anything.'' He mumbles and starts to walk faster.

I reach for his arm and stop him, ''If you want to talk about anything I'm here.'' 

''It just that Ricky loves you and Jon has your friend, and even Liam who can be a total jerk has a girlfriend. What I'm trying to say is that I almost didn't want to come on this trip.''

''Do you feel left out?'' I can see where he was coming from. In a way, everyone has someone but him. ''What about Hadley? I thought you guys were hitting it off?''
