Audrey's POV
Liam and I chose to walk around the town and take a look at the local stores. We've been hibernating for the past 2 days inside that hotel room and the yellow walls were starting to get me sick. After several blocks, the houses slowly started to turn into outside supermarkets.
''This money is so strange,'' I heard Liam say as he pulled out the small amount of cash we had to exchange. ''Like the texture and color is crazy.''
''You truly get amazed by the slightest of things.'' I laugh looking up at how he was holding the dollar up to the sun. The streets started to grow with people either trying to sell you something or trying to run away from the sellers.
He chuckled, ''That's one of the only things we have in common,'' He tells me and I couldn't argue with him. We started to look at the handcrafted dolls, and house furniture. ''Shoot.'' He mumbles.
''What now?''
''I forgot to bring my white shirt.''
''Just put anything else on-'' I shrug not seeing my big deal.
''I'm not like you, I care about how I dress.'' My jaw dropped and I crossed my arms.
''Excuse me?''
''You wearing saggy shorts and a tank top isn't exactly the prettiest. You would think that being a girl would tell you, that you have you have to look nice at all times.'' He tells as he continues to look around at the opened stores.
''You really need to stop with the double standards. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I have to get dressed for anyone that isn't me.'' I've been ignoring all of the past remarks he has made but I can't ignore them anymore.
''Hey look that store finally has men clothing.'' He runs off as if I had not said a word. I roll my eyes and run after him, not soon afterward I stop at the entrance once seeing Ricky's eyes on mine. He's with the rest of the dance court and they all stop to stare at Liam and me on our arrival.
''What are you doing here?'' He asks Liam who starts to walk to him, leaving me at the door.
''I need to get a shirt. What about you?''
''They forgot to purchase the matching shoes!'' The girl screams back as she carries 5 shoe boxes in her arm.
Liam raises his eyebrow at Ricky. ''In my defense, I got here last week.'' he raises his arms and I catch him glance at my direction before he quickly looks away.
After handing the other guys a shoe box the girl walks over to Ricky carrying the last pair of shoes. Her dark brown almost black hair is pulled high in a tail and her clothes hug her body perfectly making me feel remorse towards my own.
''This is the closets to your size,'' She stops and looks up at me, tilting her head as if trying to recognize who I am. ''Hi, Audrey right?'' She smiles to which I find strange, but I copy her response and nodded. ''Why didn't you tell me you brought your girlfriend?'' She turns to look at Ricky who just turns away without a word.
''I'll go look over there,'' I tell both Liam and the girl whom I only know as Jester before stepping out of the room full of tension. I could just imagine all the terrible things crossing Ricky's mind for seeing my presence.
I waited a good 8 minutes before going back to the store in hope to see Liam, but to my surprise everyone was gone. My lack of attention missed their departure and now I was alone in this town. As I tried to find my way back to the hotel I saw a beautiful pair of earrings that would look great with the white dress.
