Tapping my leather boot on the floor, I finish my pop tart and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth, before packing the brush in my luggage. It's very early in the morning, the sun wasn't even decided to show its face and the meeting from yesterday seemed like it only happened minutes ago.
I have few outfits packed with another few important belongings in my bag. Mom drinks more coffee waking her up fully for work in a few more hours when I leave. Sitting in my sweats and a Nirvana shirt I await for the honk to take me out of here. Like on cue the sounds of an engine was heard outside and I get up.
"Be careful and remember to have fun," mom squished me cheeks while giving me a long kiss on the forehead. ''Sure, mom.'' I say yanking her hands away from my tired face. Reaching for my small suitcase I walk outside making sure my phone is in my pocket front pocket.
Waving one last time to my mom I open the car door to reveal Margo half asleep with her head tipping forward, and Keta playing a game on her phone. I hear my mom yell 'I love you' which i echo back before sitting beside Margo and throwing my luggage to the back.
The ride to the airport was short and with Keta nonstop talking made the ride just seemed longer. After going through all the security procedures us three are finally seated with me on the side of the isle and Keta in the middle with Margo on the window side. I feel my eye fall and I let them.
-----
''Audrey, wake up were almost there.'' I open my eyes to see Keta shaking me from my shoulder. Yawing I nod and stretch my numb arms when a fly attendant offered us some snacks. Taking some apple juice since natural orange juice is gross and a medium size cookie I eat away.
''How long till we land?'' I asked taking a short sip from my drink. Keta swallowed her food before answering, ''Around an hour.''
''Can you move your feet from my space. I can barely breath with you taking it all!'' said Margo in a irksome tone while pushing Keta's leg away from hers.
''Well I'm sorry were on a plane and we don't enough space for your legs.'' Keta turned to me rolling her eyes and smiling not letting Margo see. I don't particularly like Margo, her actions are rude and I sense she feels the same about us, but unlike her we haven't given her a reason to dislike us.
''Aren't you exited to finally meet the boys in person!'' Keta cheered. All night I've been thinking on how I should act around these Minders and well the guys themselves. I could go for the typical crazy fangirl whose life is finding out the latest gossip about them, like Jocelyn. Or a chill one that hides her emotions , but freaks out when she's alone? Maybe the type who loves then just like every other Minder, but are normal enough to not be a crazy fangirl?
Option three sounds better. ''Very, I've been waiting my whole life for this!'' I try to sound just as enthusiastic as her. ''What song did you sing for you audition? I covered Bad Blood!''
''I did Give you hell by All-American rejects.'' I say shifting in my sit getting in a new sitting position, since my butt was dead.
''Who's that?'' Keta asked me. Before I could even open my mouth to respond Margo beat me to it.
''A rock band.'' she said flatly keeping her eyes on me.
''Oh, I'm not really into rock. I'm more of a country pop kind of music.'' Keta shrugged and conitnued to eat. After fifteen minutes of dead silence I finally spoke up, ''Are you guys nervous?''
Keta hummed yes, but Margo said the opposite. ''Why would I?''
''Because you're in a competition?''
''From what I've seen there's no competition. I know I'm going to win.'' Margo shot a cocky grim while leaning lower into airplanes side crossing her hands.
