((A/N:before you start reading can we take a moment to appreciate how handsome Ricky looks in this photo😍))
Audrey POV
This house looked nothing like Shawn's party. Even the empty Tequila bottles were a huge change from the plastic cups. If it wasn't for the nudge Vanessa gives me I wouldn't have noticed Ricky's grip on my hand. He looks alert, his eyes are wide open and glossy from the lights shining from the house.''Whats wrong?'' Don't get me wrong I love the feeling of his hands, but it's growing tighter as we get closer to the house. I can feel my bones starting to crack.
''Don't worry about it, okay? Just don't leave my sight there are snakes around here.'' He turns to look at me as I stare back at him confused. He offers me a small smile showing a hint of teeth.
''Who's house is this anyway?'' Vanessa kicks at a bottle making it collide with some others and a chain reaction of glass start vibrate against one another.
''Uh some dude I used to go on tour with. I don't talk to him much but he's cool.'' Ricky grabs me by the shoulder letting me go 1st, and did I mention his hand was still there! I love how he makes me feel like a child with just having his fingers with mine. Such a small gesture. This all felt too strange, but that part of my thoughts was pushed away and let the lights of car dilate my pupils.
''So Ricky, when's the curfew?'' Vanessa asks her hips already swaying to the sides in rhythm with the music.
''Whenever I want to leave.''
''Sounds good to me. See ya!'' Walking away she waves leaving me and Ricky alone.
''So? What now?'' I ask Ricky basically yelling over the sound waves.
''Well we are in Malibu and this guy happens to have his house near the beach?''
''What about that party?'' I ask seeing the reflection of my own eyes against his forest green ones.
''I could give two craps about it. Plus it's safer if we leave for a while.'' Safer? There's that feeling again. I know he's hiding something or even yet he's hiding from something. My brain tries to recall anything in the parking that could have made him so alarmed. But I'm drawing a blank.
''Okay just let me go to the bathroom first.'' I tell him and he sighs. ''I'm sorry, but I gotta go.''
''Just go.'' He waves me off.
''Where's the bath-'' I turn to ask him but he's already walking back to the way we came in. Thanks, you're so helpful. My fingers tug at my purse strap pulling my purse close to me as my eyes look around the halls. I don't even have to go if I'm being honest, but there's this fear in the back of my head that tells me to check. Yes, it's that time of the month again. The sight of stray pieces of toilet paper leads me to the bathroom. I push the person that's leaning in the door and go in.
Once I come out the music drilled into my ears, that the only thing that was left after I escaped the house was a small buzz in the back tugging at my ear. I go out and look for Ricky, it's not long after I see his hair through the window of a random car, but he's not alone from what it appears. The angle I'm in right now is horrible and the only view I get is of his neck and a girls silhouette?
The music doesn't help, but I can form words like, ''Go away'' or ''alone'' the girl, on the other hand, is barely audible and for some reason, the shaking in my lip spread into goosebumps all over my skin.
Her wrists are thin with a certain grace to every gesture and from afar you can tell they know each other. There's a sense of unwanted conformity between them that my feet wouldn't allow me to break. But once she takes a step closer to Ricky the waves of her hair snake around him in one wipe and I know exactly who she is. Peyton.
