Audrey's POV

"I can't just leave him outside all by himself,'' I tell Ricky as we look out the window.

"He just needs to take a breather that's all, c'mon your mom wants to cut the cake.''

I shake my head and turn to face his eyes, ''Tell her I'll go in a bit.'' I started to walk to the door. a cool breeze hits my face the moment I step out. "Andi are you okay?''

He stops dribbling the ball and stares at me. "I'm fine, it was just getting hot in there.''

I nod, ''Still having trouble making a hoop?''

''I just don't get why I can't do it.'' He sighs and plops to sit on the floor.

"Well you won't figure it out if you just sit here, c'mon.'' We help each other get up and I attempt to help him. After the 8th failed attempt he groans in frustration and throws the ball to the hoop and it bounces off. Next thing I know I feel dizzy and fall backwards.

''Shit shit,'' I hear Andi as he wraps his arms around me. Catching my flimsy body. I start to feel a warm liquid trickle down face. "I'm so sorry please don't die.''

I thought he was stupid for even saying that, but I started to panic when I tasted my blood entering my mouth.

"I'm fine,'' I say pinching my nose to stop the dripping of blood.

''I guess where even now.'' He said and I looked.

''Even for what?'' I say and bend forward so the blood would hit the floor.

"I almost bleed to death when you hit me with your stupid monster high doll, so we're even now.'' He starts to lead me to the door but I pause.

"You remember that?'' I ask in shock. We were still at our grandma's house when that happened. I had forgotten about that, so how did he...

''Of course I'd remember I legit felt like I saw heaven that day- holy cow.'' His eye grew so wide I thought they would pop out. "I remember! I remember that time I drove to the store to buy you pads. I remember when you got sick and I was jealous because you didn't have to got o school and I did.''

I jumped to hug him and started to cry, ''You remember everything!'' I choked up in tears everything was blurry.

''Everything is back to normal,'' He hugged me back, ''Wait ew Audrey!" He pulls me away and he turns his neck to see a puddle of tears and blood stain his shirt.

''Sorry lets go inside I'm starting to feel the blood in my throat.'' I manage to say and he leads me in. Everyone in the inside got up the moment we walked in.

"She's fine.'' Andi says and mom comes rushing in with paper towels. After getting cleaned up and the blood stopped I whispered to my parents what had happened. They crowded Andi with laughter and tears.

And for the first time, Andi actually hugs them back.

After dinner we started to set up the games my mom had prepared. They were simple games that everyone could live without but my mom insisted. She had us do tag-team races and charades. After a few hours, we all basically joined together and use exhaustion as an excuse to stop. Parker had to go anyways so we stopped it there.

"Thanks for coming. See you soon?'' I say as I go in for a hug.

"See you soon. Have fun in potato state.'' He tells me and we wave goodbye. I closed the door behind me and I see Ricky right behind.

''I had to hug him goodbye don't be jealous.'' I tell him and he laughs.

''I wasn't jealous! I came to ask if you could show me to the bathroom.'' He smiled and I felt stupid for what I had said. I shake the thought off and lead him to the bathroom.
