Audrey's POV 

By the time I arrived at the university Jos had already made half her room her own. My uncle dropped me off a couple of hours ago and as I sit here unpacking. 

"You did tell him did you?'' I hear her say as I fold my clothes into the drawer. I nodded my head and continued. "And I'm also assuming he didn't take it well.'' 

''That's a good guess.'' I whisper and I feel the box Emery had given me. "Oh Emery wanted me to give you this.'' 

Her eyes shot wide open and she tripped off her bed, "Emmy gave me this!'' Her hands yanked the box off my hands and looked at it like if it was gold. 

''Awwww'' she sang as her fingers pulled out a golden necklace with a shiny charm. "It's gorgeous! Holy smokes!" I leaned in to see rose charm with a diamond in the center of the bud. My mouth dropped open. 

''Isn't that too much?'' I gasp wondering if it was real gold. 

Jos shrugged her shoulder, "Don't question it, just appreciate it.'' she gave it a fat kiss and place it carefully back in the box. 

She got up and tucked the box under her pillow, "Hey I'm getting hungry want to go to the hangout?''  

"It's past 4...''

"So?''

"Andi said not to go to the hangout after 4 because it's only for seniors.'' 

She started to laugh, ''What are they going to do? Kill us? C'mon, I just want cheese fries.'' her hands clawed mine and we made the walk to the hangout. 

The few times I'd visit Andi he'd always bring me here for a smoothie. The building didn't even feel foreign. Andi was right most of the students here look to be way older. We didn't get looked at funny but once we got in line for food I looked to my side and noticed a familiar set of brown messy hair.  

"Hey, where you going?'' Jos called out for me. I signaled her to follow me and we made out way to a booth. My mouth dropped when I saw him munching on nachos. He looked up to meet my eyes and smiled with his mouth full. 

"What are you doing here?'' I asked my mouth still hanging wide open. 

''Surprise!'' he made jazz hands. 

"Oh I know you! Who are you again?'' Jocelyn says right next to me. 

''Parker why are you here?'' I told him to scoot with my hands so I could sit next to him. He wiped his mouth and smiles at Jos. 

''I go here,'' he shrugged like it was the most normal thing in the world.

''No, you don't. You applied for UCLA...''

He nodded, ''Yeah doesn't mean I made it. Well, I was waitlisted, but BSU gave me a pretty good scholarship, so here I am.'' 

''That's awesome! What dorm are you staying at! I'm Jocelyn by the way, can I have a fry?'' She said all that in one run I barely understood her. Her hand was already wavering around his food. 

"Yeah go ahead, and I'm Parker.'' 

''That's a cute name. Did you know I was planning on naming my future child Parker, well it's between that and Jon, but anyways ever since-''

''Jos,'' I place my index finger in my lip and she covered her mouth. ''Parker why didn't you tell me you applied here? Why did you even consider coming here?'' 

''Well I had several reasons plus I thought it'd be fun to go to school with you again.'' 

''You still should have told me. You gave me a going-away gift!''
