The climate today was fair, it was a clear blue sky with only one big gathering of clouds which appeared to be purposefully placed to prevent the sun from directly shining its rays on the cruising landship below. Paired with it are the cool winds that are constantly flowing in the air.
The perfect setting for thinking things through.
Amiya and Y/N stood beside each other by the railings surrounding the entire upper deck, they stared out into the seemingly endless desert.
"Hey Amiya." Y/N called out.
"Hmm? What is it?"
"I like the desert."
....
It may be a nuisance for some but the enormous number of instances of quietness in Rhodes Island can't be helped, everyone is healing from the wounds inflicted by the fighting that led to nothing good. Lungmen was looking safe for now based on how things have gone though.
Amiya lets the wind blow through her hair, her hair flowed with the wind flawlessly.
After another long gaze at the Doctor who once again didn't decide to pay her any glance, Amiya returned to looking at the landscape.
"That's something you would say..." A smile formed on her face.
"Well stating the obvious here, this part of the desert had more prominent features than other parts."
"Yeah."
"Like, that rock formation over there, I mean plateau." Y/N pointed out a towering desert plateau in the middle of the desert.
"Doctor, I think somewhere in every desert there are plateaus."
"No, there are atleast five of them in this part of the desert."
Taking a closer look, Y/N's claim was proven to be true for Amiya, she saw three more plateaus near the horizon, making the one Y/N first pointed out significantly closer than the other three.
"But there's only four of them." Amiya questioned his claim after a quick and more careful inspection.
"Five. The fifth one is far behind us already."
"Oh?"
Amiya tried to lean forward while holding on to the railings. She was immediately stopped by Y/N.
"Hey don't jump."
"I won't jump!"
"That's how they do it, first they appear as if they are looking for something, then the raise their right leg." Y/N explained to her. Amiya stared at her with a bit of annoyance in her face.
"You're being paranoid Doctor."
"I swear, that's what I've been seeing."
Amiya's expression changed to one of a shocking realization.
"Seeing from what? Doctor, what are you seeing? W-who is it?"
Y/N blankly stared back.
Amiya was still waiting for an answer.
"Look who's paranoid now.." Y/N said, causing Amiya to lose her shocked expression. He placed his hand on her forehead like he is about to flick.
"Ah?! Doctor no!" Amiya shouted as she backed away while covering her forehead.
"Hahaha! Right back at you."
Amiya pouts and decides to stay about five meters away from him.
Y/N realized that the cautus wasn't walking back towards him.
