Texas failed to see the snipers at the third level, and so moved to the next.

She momentarily stopped as she was going up, hearing the bang of Sierra's rifle, and ran with haste.

The snipers had themselves spread out on the side of the building that is facing the central district, distanced evenly from each other and lying prone.

Firewatch was the first to look back, and seeing Texas doesn't surprise her.

At least she wasn't expecting the enemy to have went past their melee counterparts.

"Liskarm's calling, you need to regroup."

Exusiai looks at the lupo. "Wait, why is she making that?"

"Her orders sound more legitimate." Texas answered briefly.

"Reunion broke through?" Firewatch asked. Texas nods.

The elafia turns her head, eyeing Sierra.

The latter fires a shot, her body jerking back with the weapon's strong recoil.

She moves away from the scope and looks back at the other deadeye sniper. "What?"

Firewatch blinks. "I thought you would be calling the shots for us?"

"Did I say that...?"

Satell fires her own bolt out, and is the last to cast her gaze on the white haired sankta.

Sierra glances at all of them. "I... I never heard you agree to it?"

"How bad has it gotten?" Suffering asks Texas.

"They're holding them at the stairs to the second floor."

Satell goes back to looking out of the building. Her eyes rounded, she immediately raises her crossbow and fires.

The sound made by her weapon catches everyone's eyes, and now looking at the approaching airborne soldiers, opened fire.

"Shit..." Exusiai whispered after firing a short burst, tilting her gun and flipping the switch on the side of it.

Texas stood back, watching the far enemies fall out of the air one by one.

A running footsteps wouldn't turn her head back.

Later, Meteorite stops beside her. "They're still occupied."

"What are you doing here?" she asks the sarkaz.

"Repositioning, I was thinking of taking them with me instead, but..."

The firing stops, the snipers slowly lowered their weapons again.

Sierra strides towards them. "Sorry, we can leave now."

Texas glances back and forth between the sankta and the skyline behind her. "That's all of them?"

Sierra shrugs her shoulders, sighing, "There's a bunch that faked their fall, but on foot they wouldn't get us any faster."

"On me then."

Sierra nods at the lupo and faces her fellow snipers, jerking her head towards the stairs.

Just as they all have evacuated from their firing positions, their ears picked up on multiple engines hissing.

They turn around, raising weapons forward as a squad of jetpack soldiers lifted up, now a mere meters from landing on their floor.

The snipers automatically opened fire, leaving those who weren't hit on the enemy's side watching as a half of them fell down the roadsides.
