Exusiai slides on her feet and spins, aiming fast at the drones above.

She and Greythroat opens fire, piercing the thin armor of the UAVs with their projectiles.

The rest of the squad is still rushing into a subway entrance behind the snipers.

Liskarm stands in between them, her eyes looking all over them, at the three visible roads, the shattered windows at the lower floors of the buildings, and the sky. Dark, with a couple of blinking red lights, moving fast.

She glances at the back, before ordering the two. "Get back, now!"

Downstairs, Franka stands on Liskarm's way as the latter went down the last step.

The vulpo is looking, not at her, but at the entrance above. "Hey Ch'en, Doctor, are we going center of Nansei or no?"

(Y/N) and Ch'en turned their heads, but immediately looked at each other as they had nothing to say.

"Retreating to the center." (Y/N) answers.

"Then it wouldn't be a problem if we destroy this entrance." Franka immediately suggests right after he answered.

(Y/N) and his head assistant exchanged glances of uncertainty.

"Have to think fast, people." Franka reminds them while keeping her eye on the night sky above.

Behind (Y/N), Gavial starts treating any new bruises the squad got from running away from Reunion's relentless pursuit.

"Meteorite," he calls, and the artilleryman immediately rose up from a crouching position. "Seal the entrance, can you?"

"No problem."

Blaze rushes over to them. "Wait! What about Onyx— I mean BlueWing?"

"Who's going to reach us first, BlueWing, or Reunion?" Franka asks both the Doctor and Blaze.

Neither of them could answer fast enough.

Meteorite starts preparing another bolt, twisting an explosive head to it. "Take cover now."

Franka taps Ch'en and (Y/N)'s shoulder, prompting them to turn back.

"Come on." she tells Blaze, who then starts to back up.

"Move." Ch'en orders the rest as they joined them.

The operators got up from sitting on the cold floor, or leaning at the wall, still cold.

They ran until reaching a corner where they turned and crouched.

Seconds passed.

A loud bang, too close, they shuddered for a moment.

(Y/N) got over the dizziness in his head, but still feels lost in thoughts he's not even thinking about.

The loud bang almost instantly sends an earthquake afterwards, forcing them to lean back hard against the wall or grasp the ground with their palms for stability.

(Y/N), being in some sort of high, loses his balance and falls down the cold floor.

"Doc!" Gavial called, though it did nothing to stop his fall.

He blinks his eyes a few times, and his vision clears up, together with his attentiveness going back.

Meteorite appears from behind one of the columns, giving her bowgun a few tweaks.

Others stood up, others remained sitting on the ground.

"That would hold for a day, should they try to dig through." Meteorite assures them
