Time passes fast and slow at different instances as (Y/N), becoming sleepy as the minute goes on, never once broke eye contact with the ceiling.

"There's nothing coming from above...? What happened?"

He swallows, letting his lips come apart for air to come in.

He drags his arm on the floor, sweeping debris and dust along. He raises it, but what does he do next?

Laying both arms down, he gives himself another push.

The smallest pain at his spine freezes him in place. He lays his back down again, his head lowered more carefully.

"What a pitiful creature I am..." he sighed.

Silence reigned even in his head now.

How long did the operation take?

Was it all according to plan?

It's not really the right time to be asking the questions. It isn't over until those who are above have gone down, and they all got away from both Nansei and Reunion.

"What about those we left behind...?"

He turns his head to the side, to the sky that hasn't changed yet.

Loud footsteps echoed from below, rapidly getting closer. Texas appears from the bottom of the stairs, momentarily stopping as she saw (Y/N)'s state.

(Y/N) would have wanted to raise his hand to wave, but the thought faded as he simply did a visual scanning of this operator's well being.

Texas walks over, getting down on a knee. "Think you can walk?"

(Y/N) lowers his head. "I think I can. Flame—"

"That's not important." the lupo cut him off.

He sighed. Texas inches closer and lifts his arm.

"What's the status on the ground?"

"Taken care of."

"Huh..." (Y/N) gasped as she brought him back on his feet, both of which are feeling weak.

"What about you?" Texas asked as they began to move on. "We found Gavial almost in the same condition as you. Meteorite attended to her."

Another gasp came from the Doctor. "Ch'en's sister really is a handful."

Texas kept leading him on to the stairs.

"Do you have to refer to that person as her sister?" she asked after a moment of silence.

The Doctor chuckles, "Ch'en's been quite a handful too, recently, hasn't she?"

"Right." Texas whispered.

(Y/N) felt too much like depending on her, he wouldn't bother seeing her expressions.

Her cold, at times monotonous voice relaxes him. At least it sounded like everything is under control.

Flamebringer stood from a distance, watching Blaze and Talulah, with the latter sprawled on the floor covered in ashes of gray and black.

The feline glares at the sarkaz. Her lips are parted, but she isn't catching her breath as hard as she should have.

"I'll step in once you are done." the sarkaz stated, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

Blaze walks toward the draco with heavy steps. "One more time."

She punches Talulah in the face, just as the latter was about to rise. The draco woman fell back to the ground again.

Flamebringer raises an eyebrow as he watched Blaze grab her by the collar, and drag her along.
