In the maze of alleys, three people are in a pursuit, two chasing the other.

Franka keeps her ears attentive of the sound coming from ahead. The splashing noice as water puddles are stepped on are the ones she's looking out for above all else.

"Watch where you're going, don't you dare step on the puddles." She tells Liskarm while keeping her eyes looking ahead.

Her vouivre partner always had to look after Franka ever since she knew of her tendencies, now is certainly not the first time. Even so, she still can't help but feel annoyed.

"Franka! Give it up! We'll lose her in the end!"

"Now's not the time to be pessimistic, I saw an opportunity and I will have it."

Far ahead, Crownslayer tries to increase her speed while she hears the argument of the two. She had another plan in mind, the reason she's not attacking the duo.

She goes for another right turn, and into another alley, and another. She went straight ahead crossing the next multiple intersecting backstreets.

"Franka!! You left the squad back there!"

Crownslayer heard the words of the vouivre clearly.

Looks like that fox is enjoying a higher rank now, in charge of a squad of Rhodes Islanders? All of them brought nothing but trouble. Alright, looks like she wants to play.

Her radio goes on and one of her subordinates speaks to her.

"Crownslayer, the guerillas have entered the city. Where are you?"

Liskarm cocks her handgun and starts firing at Crownslayer as soon as they spotted her.

She immediately ran to another alley where the tall buildings are blocking most of the sunlight. She raises the radio near her mouth which fell silent as she was shot at.

"Taking care of an enemy commander, I won't be back for a short time."

"Commander of Rhodes Island? Do you need our help?"

"Not the one I think you are referring to, someone I saw back in Lungmen.. and I don't need help. You focus on keeping yourselves alive and helping the guerillas.

Without waiting for the other side, Crownslayer puts the radio back and turns into an even darker passage.

The duo chasing her slows down as they reached the middle of four separate paths joined like a cross.

"Where did she...." Franka whispers to herself.

Only one of the three alleys have a few water on them.

"Damnedest!" Franka stomps her feet and straightens her arm, her hand placed on the nearest wall as she supports herself, catching her breath.

Liskarm takes a careful look at the three possible routes around them.

"Let's go back." She calmly suggests to the vulpo.

After another three seconds, Franka straightens up and faces her partner.

"It's your fault."

"Our objective is not a single person."

"A single person can get the job done faster."

"It doesn't always work like that, Franka."

"Tch, that sneaky fox cannot hide forever."

"I'm pretty sure that wasn't a vulpo."

"Vulpo or not. I'd like to call her that."

A second of silence occurs between the two as they do a quick inspection of their weapons and equipment.
