Another scorching hot morning in the middle of the desert. Not for a bunch of people living inside a fully airconditioned landship. Some of the operators at Rhodes Island would admit that the living conditions here are the best. Most would sometimes exaggerate, sometimes not, that it is a thousand times better than the conditions they have to live with prior to going onboard.
Yes, Rhodes Island might be a five star hotel-on-giant-caterpillar-tracks, but that illusion will disappear like a bubble when work comes. And work for those in Rhodes Island's paramilitary branch are different, especially emergencies.
The light on (Y/N)'s room started pulsing between red and white together with an annoying sound. He would really be pissed off by being woken up by this much more if he didn't know that this means something serious must have came up.
He takes off the sheets placed over him through out the night and threw them to the side of the bed. Still sleepy, he gets up and walks to his large closet, opening it, revealed that he barely had any other clothes except for his iconic uniform.
"Better have one set of iconic clothes than a hundred random T-shirts I guess..."
While getting his uniform, PRTS connects with him through his communications device thing that's just lying on a table, also near the closet.
"Good morning, Doctor (Y/N), the time is 3:24 AM--"
"Yes." He cuts her off while on the process of wearing his uniform. "What do we have today?"
"Something that greatly concerns Rhodes Island, Doctor. Just now we have received news that Reunion had actually somewhere they wanted to go than just going away from us."
"Just tell me."
"That wouldn't be possible. In my humble opinion, I think it would make you move faster if you don't know what's happening."
"I don't think so."
"Doctor Kal'tsit said that she will personally come here to get you if you don't arrive at the bridge by 3:30."
"....."
The way to the bridge from the dorms is long considering the length of the landship. There are more facilities that needed to be closely located near it than the dorms, and so it is impossible to get there within 6 minutes.
For (Y/N), not when a Kal'tsit offers to come by his room because he didn't arrive on time.
Yes, a Kal'tsit.
He is now running at speeds one would not think the Doctor is capable of.
"Impressive, Doctor (Y/N)." PRTS comments through his earpiece.
"It's your fault!"
"Looking at the emotions I have detected earlier though, I might have actually saved you, Doctor."
"Save your analysis for later...."
Finally arriving at the bridge, Y/N comes in with his entire marathon experience showing on his appearance.
"3:29." PRTS announces to him.
He starts walking and looking around. It didn't take long because he almost bumped on to Kal'tsit not long after he started. She was possibly on her way out of the bridge.
She stares at him. (Y/N) stares back. Kal'tsit's expression never changes between the blank one and the one with a murderous intent. She had the blank one for him this morning.
"Good."
"What?"
Kal'tsit didn't answer and walks back to what is the front of the bridge and Y/N follows close by.
