(A/N: Chapter 38 is also out... just saying, so no one gets puzzled by the following chaos. Peace!)

Atop the buildings on Reunion's side, more and more of their snipers came, lining up behind the parapets and windows.

Bolts and arrows rained on both sides. So many that a little more people adding in to the fight would solidify an arch that is forming over the 'trench' — the gap between the separated part of the city and the rest.

There's a problem, however, as most of the projectiles in the air are from Reunion.

The boost in their manpower from all the infected they rescued from Lungmen shows.

(Y/N) and his squad goes up the terrace.

He ran, and jumped as if diving into the water, only that he landed behind the parapet and beside the snipers of Rhodes Island and Nansei.

He turns back, and shouts at Cyclone and Silesia. They are not far behind him. "Stay there!"

Despite his warning, Onyx still ran towards him, placing her shield in front of her.

(Y/N) looks up at her. "Well I guess a defender can hold her own. Unless there's a caster on their side?"

While pondering over the thought, he takes a peek for himself at the other side.

"Where's their largest concentration? Had to remove some pressure.." Onyx said while staying behind the protection of her shield.

A fireball emerges out of thin air high in front of them, or so they thought.

(Y/N) starts seeing bottles being thrown towards them.

Though he somewhat feels confident that the storm of bolts it would have to cross won't allow them to come down in one piece. "Not a big problem..."

The minutes passed, with their exchange of various projectiles already resulting in the rooftops to be littered with those munitions that missed their target.

"What's that?" an R.I. sniper asks himself, and others who might have heard him.

Several sarkaz came on Reunion's side. They came running, and as they reached the edge of the rooftop, formed duos and threw dozens of molotovs using nets they held on both ends.

"That's either a brainy lifehack or very primitive of them.", (Y/N) commented.

"Back up!!" Onyx shouted.

She then gets down and pulls (Y/N) up. "Doc!"

He gets up on his own feet. Just now did he realize as they ran away from the parapets that Satell was lying prone beside him seconds ago.

Some of the molotov cocktails got hit, and formed fireballs in the sky, though some didn't.

Those who got through crashed on the hard concrete and wood, shattering to pieces, and setting the entire block of buildings on fire.

"Why is no one deploying casters, Doc? Like, even Reunion don't have casters right now..." an exhausted R.I. sniper, a different from the one before, asked.

"For us I have some answers, but Reunion's case? It's just straight up very suspicious of them." he said, one hand holding on to the edge of the concrete building as he took shelter on the fire exit stairs along with the others.

"We've actually seen a few of them before, but yeah, only a few." Onyx claimed.

"Still weird." (Y/N) concluded.

They stay silent, listening for any sound, though the crisp sound of burning wood from the other buildings is most prominent.

(Y/N) tries to spot the buildings on the other side of the road, and they were also set on fire.
