(Y/N) pants hard, his legs couldn't even stand straight.

He slams his palm on the wall to his side as he slouched and looked down at the steps beneath him.

"What... floor...?"

He raises his head, seeing a sign up ahead.

"Floor... forty-eight...?" he sighs, then crashes down as he took two steps up, his knee hitting the edge of the third step.

A grunt escapes his mouth. His other foot slips down, though his hands gripped on the treads.

He looks down as he tries to lift himself up. Another injury to his pathetic legs.

Though he can't see the wound, he feels it inside his jeans. He sighs as his head drooped low.

The stairs, or rather the entire floor he's in, both below and above him trembled with a loud bang coming from the top.

(Y/N) looks at the ceiling, where the hanging fluorescent lights danced.

He forces his eyes wide open and pulls himself up the stairs.

On shaky and heavily weakened limbs, the Doctor turns in to the next floor, the next flight of stairs.

He runs up again, his knee suddenly bending, but he instinctively fought back against it and holds on to the guard rails.

He shakes his head dismissively, gulping before proceeding.

Coming into the next floor, he skids his feet as he turned once more for supposedly, the last floor he has to climb through.

"Here goes..." he whispers, his cheeks puffing out as he prepared.

He leans forward and sprints up the stairs.

Another bang shakes the tower, throwing him off and into the wall, his back hitting the protruding rails.

Gasped and groaned, (Y/N) fell down again, gritting his teeth, one hand gripping the rails.

Not far on this next floor the sound of flames going around like swift winds, and the occasional clashing of metals.

The smell of burnt electronics, papers are coming down the stairs.

It's always going down, but only now makes its way into (Y/N)'s nose.

"Your fire isn't intimidating me in the slightest!!" Flamebringer's voice shouted.

More clangor came of clashing swords following the man's mockery.

"I do have to admit, W wasn't lying about you. You are tougher than the last one Rhodes Island sent to hold me off. A courageous man, that one is." a woman's voice replied.

But (Y/N) already knew who it was.

Who it was, and who was it she's talking about in the last bit.

The Doctor's teeth grinds while his eyebrows frowned to the point they could fuse together in the middle.

"FLAMEBRINGER!!!!!!"

He runs up into the black fog as he screamed.

The fog was thinner, and he can still see things with enough detail — the entire office floor is on fire.

What remained of the appliances, furnitures and such, now resided around the edges of the walls, thrown away during a fiery confrontation.

(Y/N) breaches through the fog, and sees Talulah, looking at him. The man he just called stands in front of him, but he can only see his back.
