Alas, it was a normal day to me.

I'm just vibing in the library doing work on the computer. Nothing much. There's a pinboard on a wall in front of me near the entrance. It's just there for news and stuff, you know?

However, whenever it's near Valentine's, it's used for confession letters and stuff. This year, there's not as many letters, but we still get these types of letters. The team & I also have to sort out who the letters are directed towards to keep the pinboard from overfilling.

I was sitting at the desk when a young girl went up to me. I'd say she was in her early twenties with brunette hair & light hazel eyes. Or was it blue? Green? Brown? I'm unsure, but she was quite young. She went up to me and the following occurred:

"Hey, um..." The woman looked at my name tag. "Gillian, I want to pay some late fees."

"Ah sure! Let me bring up your account!" I said. "What's your name?"

The lady told me her name. I'm not saying it for privacy reasons.

"Okay, so you've been needing to pay a late fee for a while, is that correct?"

"Yes," She confirmed. "I'm really bad at keeping up with my things, I'm so sorry."

"Ah, I see," This conversation really sounds weird in English now that I think about it. I pull up her account & saw a...oh. So that's where that historical fiction book went for 2020.

How does one forget to return a book for an entire 2 months and forget to pay it for 9 months? "Do you have ₽600 on hand? Also, you are aware you can pay this online too, right?"

"Oh, sorry, I didn't know about that," She apologized. "I didn't know there was a website for that."

Eh, I'm sure barely anyone in this library knows of its existence either, I thought.

"Can I still pay here?" She asked.

  "Sure, card or cash?"

"Cash," She hands me 6 100 Pokédollar (it may also be called Poken and other things depending on region) bills. I took up the bills & went to work. The woman looked at me nervously, waiting to ask for something else.

"So," She broke the silence, "Are you single?"

"Oh yeah, I am," I responded. It's difficult for most legendaries to be in a romantic relationship.

"Soo, do you want to hang out sometime?" I raised an eyebrow. The fine was paid off by this time.

"What?" I've really never been around humans personally that much. By human, I mean human-human, not humanized Pokémon. Unless you count [XXXX].

"You know, at a cafe, restaurant or something?" She clarified.

Mmmmmmmmmmm... How am I supposed to respond to this? I've never talked to her at a remotely platonic level at all.

"Oh, uhh...I'm sorry, but I'm quite busy for the time being," By that, I mean saving the universe's ass every week. Should I just say...?

"Well, uh," She mumbled. "Can I ....?"

"What?" Despite the stillness of the library, I couldn't hear her well. I think my human body is growing old. Or maybe it's just the mask. Or maybe she lost her words on the way.

"Can I...can I at least...get your-get your phone number?" She reconciled her words. I'm impressed by her boldness.

"Sorry, but I'm not interested," I rejected the offer. "Plus, I'm ace."

"Oh," I can feel her cheeks heat up from my spot. "Sorry for bothering you."

"Don't fret," I assured her. "I get asked that every year."

It was just awkward silence for a bit.

"Well, I'll be going," The young woman left through the door.

I was shocked by her initial request. Then I remembered being dared to look at this "Rule 34" of myself & other questionable favors.

Seriously, this is pretty tame compared to Reshiram asking to sell their soul for more power around 2,500 years ago. That's another story for another time... The request didn't go through anyway, but it was still absurd, even for today.

I heard my phone vibrate, probably an important text made it through. I picked it to see a text from Girabean. Just FYI, Girasol also calls me Platinum. I opened it & saw this:

   Platinum!

   Platinum!

I typed a response.

What is it?
