"Oh Romeo, oh Romeo..." Becky started to recite. Ashlyn banged her head on her lunch table, unable to stand anymore of Becky's boring lines.
"Oh my god. Enough already!" Ashlyn moaned.
"I agree." Wilma nodded. "You've been saying the same lines over and over again."
Becky pouted. "Sorry guys but I have to practice my lines if I want to get the Juliet role."
"You could practice at home you know." Freda suggested. "You don't have to bore us to death."
"I can't. The auditions are today! This is the only time I have left to practice." Becky whined.
Ashlyn sighed. "Alright then. Good luck by the way."
"Thanks guys!" Becky smiled and continued. "Oh Romeo, oh Romeo..."
"So Ash," Wilma turned her attention towards Ashlyn. "What are you doing after school?"
"I've got track and field practice." Ashlyn said, dipping her fries into her barbeque sauce.
"Oh that's right!" Freda chimed in. "I forgot that you're in the track team. Have you met Fiona Reece? She's the captain."
"Yeah I have. She's nice."
"Did you know that she was Levi's latest ex-girlfriend?" Freda grinned. "They broke up like two months ago."
Ashlyn found that information interesting but she wasn't going to show it. "So what does it have to do with me?"
Freda shrugged. "Just wanted to let you know about your competition."
"Competition? What do you mean?" Ashlyn furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"Well, it's obvious that you're Levi's next target and Fiona is still not over Levi. She was super heartbroken when Levi dumped her." Freda said.
"I think Fiona should have seen it coming though. I mean everyone knows that Levi doesn't do relationships. In fact, I'm pretty sure the longest relationship he had before he decided to dump the poor girl was only a month and a half." Wilma added.
"Wait, wait hold on." Ashlyn held up her hands. "It's not a competition when I'm not even fighting for Levi. The only competition Fiona has is Miranda."
Wilma snorted. "Miranda had a crush on Levi since two years ago. Trust me, if Levi wanted her, he would have gotten her already."
Freda scratched her chin. "I wonder why Levi never made a move on Miranda before. Miranda is like every guys' dream. I mean she's quite attractive and not to mention a cheerleader. If I were a guy, I would totally go for her."
"I'm a guy but I wouldn't go for Miranda." Jaime suddenly interrupted, making all four girls glanced up in surprise.
"Hey Jaime." Ashlyn said. "What brings you here?"
Jaime took the seat beside Ashlyn. "I was just walking by and happen to overheard your conversation." He shot the girls a wide smile.
Ashlyn could see Becky, Wilma and Freda blushed. She got to admit that Jaime was quite a stunner but unfortunately he's too 'cool' for commitments. "You were eavesdropping?" Ashlyn punched his arm. "You're such a girl!"
"Ouch!" Jaime rubbed his shoulder. "And you're such a guy!"
Ashlyn rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Go away Jaime."
Jaime sighed. "Just when I was about to tell you why some guys wouldn't go for Miranda." He said, getting up from his seat.
"No, no wait!" Wilma said.
