On the Run

Explanation

You awoke to the loud volume of the TV in your room. You opened your eyes, noticing your son and daughter on the edge of your bed, watching cartoons. Kya looked back to see you, wide awake and eyebrows furrowed, and lowered the volume.

"Hi, mama. How'd you sleep?" 

"I slept well, thank you. Why are you guys here? I thought I'd let you watch TV in the living room?" you asked.

"Yeah, but then you told us to stay here," Kya said. 

Your eyebrows furrowed even more. "I did? "  Kya nodded, turning her gaze back to the TV.

What are you —Oh.

"I'll be right back, give me a minute." You rushed towards your bathroom, taking a quick shower to freshen up. After putting on a comfortable pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt, you left your room. Your eyes widened. This was not a dream.

"Y/N! You're awake! How are you? Get enough sleep?" Kaminari asked, hands opening for a hug. You put your hand on his chest to stop him.

"Yeah, I did. I'll need you to put that down and explain why the hell you're here, and with friends." 

Kaminari scratched his cheek, looking away from you. "It's sort of a long story." 

"I've got time. I don't have work today or tomorrow. I'm supposed to relax, but I guess not. I'm ready for whatever bs you got into Kami." 

"Why'd you assume it's my fault?!" Kaminari whined.

"Because of when we first met and the days after," you say, sitting on the couch.

"Alright everyone, gather 'round! I'd like to introduce you all to my awesome, wonderful friend, (Y/N) (L/N). She's the beautiful soul who decided to help us," Kaminari introduced with a bow. You rolled your eyes at his flattery. "(Y/N), these are Japan's greatest heroes. Please, introduce yourselves," he added.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya!" 

"The name's Katsuki Bakugo." 

"I'm Ejiro Kirishima."

"I'm Shoto Todoroki." 

"Ochako Uraraka." 

"Tenya Iida." 

"Momo Yaoyorozu." 

"Hanta Sero."

"Hitoshi Shinsou."

"Kyoka Jirou."

"Mina Ashido, but you can call me Mina!" 

"Tsuyu Asui, but call me Tsu." 

"Toru Hagakure!" 

They all bowed, in sync.

"Cool to meet you. Since that's out of the way, why are you guys here and what did Kaminari do?"

Kaminari rushed to explain that he, in fact, did not do anything, as well as why and how they had gotten there. With the help of his coworkers, he recounted their journey from heroism to now. After every event, you felt your eyes widen, as if they were going to pop out. 

"So, you're telling me," you started, "that you're criminals and fugitives." 

"Yeah. But we didn't do it," Kaminari amended.

You sighed, already stressed out at the predicament. "So, now you've come to America to escape?" you reiterated. 

"Yes, we have," Todoroki monotoned.
