Roughly 4 hours later.

It was later in the afternoon, the sun's rays still flowing into the big house. Two kids, a girl, and boy, sat in their living room, their giggles echoing through the house.

The girl had shiny, coily hair, pulled into two big puffs. Her deep brown eyes reflected the characters on the tv while her skin glowed in the sunlight.

The boy's jet black, wavy hair was pulled back, tanned skin shining, and hazel eyes beaming with happiness.

These kids were Kya (L/N) and Oliver (L/N), the adoptive children of Pro Hero Terra, AKA (Y/N) (L/N).

(Y/N) was asleep in her room, taking a nap. The kids tried to keep their giggles to a minimum since you were an easy rouser.

But, the doorbell rang. Somehow, (Y/N) did not wake up from the bell, which was both a relief and worrisome. Normally, she would be up at the first ring, but it had now rung twice and she still didn't wake up. The brother and sister both looked at each other, confused about what to do.

"Should we... open the door ourselves?" Kya whispered, looking at Oliver.

"But we don't know who's at the door. What if we get kidnapped? Mom won't know cause she's asleep. We won't see her ever again! Then, they'll ask for money, and then—" Oliver said frantically.

"I doubt anyone would be bold enough to go to the number 1 hero's house to kidnap her kids. If they do, they aren't smart. Let's go wake up mom and let her know," Kya said to her brother.

"Do you think she'll get mad?" Oliver whispered to Kya.

"No, she's nice. She helped us. We'll be fine," Kya assured, tiptoeing towards your room. The doorbell kept ringing and ringing, impatience evident by the guest(s) at the door.

They crept towards (Y/N)'s room, careful of the creaky floorboards. They finally arrived at the door, breath heavy as if it took forever to get there, even though it was only a minute. The door creaked, the room dead quiet except for soft breaths as she slept. The kids walked towards the bed, one child on each side.

"On the count of 3. 1......2........3!" Kya whispered-shouted. They shook her. (Y/N)'s eyes snapped open, looking into a terrified Oliver, jumping with a yelp.

"I'm so sorry mom! Someone'satthedoorandwedidn'tknowwhattodoandyoudidn'twakeupand" Oliver rushed, his words incoherent. But (Y/N)'d become accustomed to it now, the boy being a little bit of a scaredy-cat.

You rubbed your tired eyes. "Don't worry, it's fine. You said someone was at the door?" you questioned.

"Yeah, they're still ringing the doorbell. It's getting annoying," Kya answered, irritated by the ringing in her ears.

"Alright, I'll deal with it." You staggered from the bed, wrapping your (F/C) silk robe around yourself as you left.

The bell continued to ring, and with added knocking. You strode towards the door, not quite awake to the world. "I'm coming, I'm coming. Jeez," you grumbled in irritation.

I did not need to wake up to this shit, you thought.

You opened the door, glancing up at your friend, Denki Kaminari. Your sleepy eyes widened in surprise.

"Heyyyyyyyyy, (Y/N)! Long time no see! How are you?" Kaminari asked in English, finger-gunning you. You could already tell he wasn't here to visit. He rubbed the back of his neck, his eyes shifting back and forth. The vibrations in the ground gave you a perfect understanding of his rapid heartbeat.

You raised an eyebrow, looking him up and down. "I'm exhausted and your constant ringing wasn't helping me at all, but I'll be fine. It's good to see you. Usually, you call when you visit the States. Do you want something?" you mentioned, narrowing your eyes at him.

You looked behind him at a beat-up van. You spotted a flash of pink, and your eyes narrowed further in confusion. You stepped forward onto the walkway, spreading your awareness further towards the van.

There are way too many people in there.

"Just 'cause I show up unannounced means I want something? That's so mean (Y/N)! Can't I come to visit you because I missed you? I thought we were friends!" he exclaimed, his voice going higher and higher as he spoke.

Bullshit, you thought.

"Do you want me to tell you about your heart beating out of your chest? Or about the random people in that van waiting on you and me?" you deadpanned.

Kaminari's face flushed with panic.

"What are you talking about? Nobody else is here but me!" he squeaked, his voice cracking.

You raised an eyebrow. "I can tell you're lying. You're not as subtle as you think, dear."

The conversation dissolved into a stare-off.

"OK fine, you've got me," he caved, letting out a sigh at your intellect. "Can we come in first? We shouldn't be outside as of right now. Please?" he begged, his hands put together.

"Fine, invite your friends."

Kaminari walked towards the van. You crossed your arms, your foot tapping on the walkway. Soon, a stream of people climbed out of the vehicle, walking into your house. You closed your eyes for a moment, the faint throbbing of a headache coming. You glared at Kaminari, and he smiled back with embarrassment.

After the last person entered your home, or what you thought was the last person, you closed your door and drew in a sharp breath. You were hoping this was a hallucination because of the lack of sleep you've had.

"Fucking hell Kaminari, what did you do?!"

"I—"

"You know what, I don't even want to know, I'm too tired for this shit," you cut him off with a wave of your hand, striding towards your room."

"I'm sorry, but we had nowhere else to go!"

"I'll deal with you when I wake up. I can't do this shit right now," you snapped.

"There's food and water in the fridge. Eat all my shit and I'll kill you. I need another nap before I can even deal with why there are more than 5 people in my home right now. Don't trash my house and do not be loud. I'll be even more pissed than I already am if you wake me up," you fumed at Kaminari.

He nodded his head, backing away from you.

You left for your room, leaving Kya and Oliver to your TV, and faceplanted onto the bed.

Please let this be a dream and not a nightmare, you thought before falling asleep.
