This chapter helped me practice writing fight scenes. It was hard, but I think I did well. I hope you enjoy it! Please let me know if it's too slow.
"I'm so bored!" Mina whined, flopping onto the futon with a thump. Yaoyorozu sat on the bed, undisturbed by Mina's behavior. Her gaze was trained on a book given to her by (Y/N) from her expansive library.
Yaoyorozu turned a page. "Why don't you exercise then?"
"I don't want to."
"Grab a snack?"
She shook her head.
"Nap?"
Mina huffed.
"Read?"
"Books are boring," she complained petulantly.
Yaoyorozu sighed, looking up from the book. "Why don't you ask (Y/N)? See if she has anything for you to do."
Mina hummed. The last time she checked, you were in the kitchen, doing something she hadn't bothered to learn. You were on the phone, talking. To who, no one knew. Every time they'd ask, you'd deflect, like always. Since Maya was around, you were able to take up night shifts and were on call more often. Which also meant spending more time at home. The group was grateful, especially when it reduced their boredom.
"I might do that. Thanks, Yao-momo!"
Yaoyorozu sighed, turning her attention to her book. "You're welcome."
Mina wandered around the house, searching for you. She passed the basement entrance when she heard a grunt. Her head whipped back, running down the steps in panic. But, what she met was not as she thought.
Bakugo immediately went for the right hook. You dodged, jabbing him in the stomach, the hit packing much more than he expected. You pushed back from each other straightening your stances. You gestured with a "come at me bro" and he charged again. He aimed a punch for your head but you dodged, blocking with your forearm before attacking his sides. You kicked him away from you, and he dug his feet into the mat. You readied yourself for another attack.
You asked Bakugo to spar with you, and he readily agreed. He'd been itching for a spar, and he was too used to Kirishima's fighting style. Yours was different though. Some were rehearsed, while some came from nowhere. One moment you're using taekwondo, next you're boxing it out with your fists. Your fighting was unpredictable, just like you.
Yet again, you hadn't noticed your new audience. At first, it was just Mina, observing in fascination. This brought Jirou down, which also brought Kaminari. This brought both Sero, Kirishima, and Shinsou. Soon, the entire group was crowded in the basement, watching the match with rapt attention.
Midoriya already had his new notebook (courtesy of you) in hand, furiously writing down notes. It wasn't every day you get to see the number one hero of America fighting in her basement.
Mina was satisfied with her new source of entertainment. Somehow, a box of popcorn appeared in her hands, and she along with the rest of the Bakusquad, shared.
The match was nearing to a head, with you and Bakugo getting up close and personal. A swift punch to the face was blocked, and a kick to the side was taken. He kicked you away, and you ran toward him. In a very complicated move, you jumped, using your momentum to wrap your legs around his neck and flip him over. You pinned his arms to the side.
"I win," you panted, a smile on your face. Bakugo smirked.
Before he could do anything else, somebody started to slow clap. The claps erupted into cheers from the heroes. You and Bakugo turned to the side in shock, immediately scrambling to your feet.
