Not so Quiet

"(Y/N)!" Kaminari sang.

You groaned, covering yourself with the couch blanket. You were chilling on the couch, finally taking a break from the long week.

Please leave, please leave, please leave, you pleaded.

You lied still under the blanket.

"I found you!"

You grumbled profanities under your breath. "What the hell do you want?"

"Hang with me and Shin."

"Who?"

"Shin!"

You sighed. "I'm getting really sick of this. Are you talking about Shinsou?"

Kaminari nodded. "Yeah, him. Let's go." he grabbed your arm, dragging you from the couch. You went limp in his hold.

"You'll have to drag me."

He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Get up."

"No."

"Please?"

"Nope. You'll have to drag me."

Instead of dragging you, he picked you up in one swift motion.

"Put me down!"

He shook his head. "You brought this on yourself."

You decided to make things hard for him, purposely going limp in his hold. He rolled his eyes at you.

And you call me dramatic.

Kaminari kicked open the door, you scolding him about the scuffs on your walls. Shinsou barely looked up from the device in his lap, rolling his eyes at the volume.

"Can you put me down now?"

"Promise you won't run away."

"Ugh! Fine," your shoulders slumped. "I won't run away."

"Pinky promise?"

"Are you fu—Fine!" You wrapped your pinky around his own, grumbling. Kaminari grinned, carefully putting you on your feet.

You plopped onto the bed, arms crossed. "What are we doing?"

"Hanging out."

"How will we be hanging out Kaminari?"

"Somebody's cranky," Shinsou snarked

"Somebody needs to be quiet."

"You guys interrupted my quiet."

"Incorrect. He did," you pointed a thumb at Kaminari.

"Hey! I just wanted my two best friends to become friends. You guys have a lot in common."

"Like what?"

Kaminari hummed in thought. "Oh! You both like to sleep."

"Sleep is life," you stated.

"Mood."

"See!" Kaminari gestured between you two. "And, you're both very sarcastic too."

"Sure."

"Whatever you say Denki."

He huffed, smiling at you both.

You gazed curiously as Shinsou's attention was brought back to the device in his lap.

"What's that?" you shuffled over to his futon.

"A Nintendo switch."

Your brows furrowed. "Where did you get that?"

Shinsou shrugged. "Denki gave it to me."

Your head whirled towards Kaminari. "And where did you get that?"

He scratched the back of his head. "Remember when I came to America the third time?"

You nodded.

"I bought this and ordered it to your house. I forgot to take it when I left."

You hummed, shuffling over to Shinsou. You sat down next to him, looking over his shoulder.

"What are you playing?"

"Super Smash Bros."

Your eyes lit up as Shinsou fought a cp as Kirby. "I used to love this game. Played it all the time with my siblings."

In the distance, you could hear a record scratch.

"Siblings?!" Kaminari screeched.

You cringed. Fuck.

"Yes?"

"And when were you going to tell us? In fact, when were you going to tell me?!"

Your lips thinned into a line. "It never came up."

"It never came up?!"

"Relax," Shinsou cajoled. "She would have told you eventually. She's entitled to her secrets."

You sent him a thankful expression, returning your gaze back to his game.

"How many do you have?"

"3."

"Genders?"

"Sisters."

Your attention was fully on Shinsou's match, and Kaminari huffed at the lack of attention. He was bored and hoped he would be entertained by you and Shinsou. He should've known better,

"Did you know that firefly is the opposite of waterfall?"

You froze at Kaminari's words, slowly looking up at him. "Fuck."

He smiled devilishly. "We use our noses to smell and feet to run. But why do our noses run and our feet smell?"

"Shut up," you said darkly. Shinsou raised an eyebrow at your behavior.

"Why is dark spelled with a k instead of a c? Because you can't see(c) in the dark."

You dragged your hands over your face. "Please. Stop."

"No, this is payback."

He continued to berate you with dumb/smart questions, along with dad jokes and the like. All the while, you watched Shinsou play, silently cheering him on in your head. That was how you spent your hour off.

You left to pick up Kya and Oliver, Kaminari helping you lock the door. He stood there, thoughts consumed with what happened earlier. How he didn't know as much about you as he thought.

Kaminari learned something that day. Private people can tell little about themselves, and make you think you know them a lot.

He clenched his fist in determination. His new mission: to learn as much about you as possible, to become your true friend. No matter what.

End. I hope you like this chapter. This was really choppy and unedited, so I might change it later to my original plan. This became a little more about Kaminari than Shinsou, but I have a pretty nice chapter with him that I'm not sure I'm ready to publish. It gets a little heavy into what's going on in their heads. But I'll probably wait until later. Thank you so much for reading. Have a good day/night.
