A/n: I finally get to introduce my favorite character! I hope you like her as much as I do.
You were seated on the couch in your living room, comfortably watching (f/s) on (TV streaming service). But you were suddenly interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell. You quickly paused, grumbling about how the TV would soon be snatched by one of your newly acquired housemates and how you were just getting to the best part.
(You quickly learned that someone else would immediately change the channel when you left the remote for a minute. It drove you mad. This wouldn't have been a problem since you had a TV of your own in your room, but you gave it to your kids for the day, knowing that they would be bored on their off day from school. It reminded you too much of your childhood.)
The bell rang again and again, showing the impatience of the new guest.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, jeez. Slow down. I'm only one person," you grumbled, opening the door.
A short, thick woman with long red braids, a pretty glossed smile, and brown skin greeted you at the door.
"Heeeyyyyyy! Iiiiiiiiiit's Maya!" She sang, posing with a smile.
Your frown instantly turned into a bright grin.
"Hey. How are you? How was your trip?"
"My trip was incredible! I got some really good vitamin D," she winked suggestively, and you couldn't help but laugh.
"I can tell, you're glowing. What're you doing here? Shouldn't you be resting?"
"Well, you haven't been answering my texts and I was getting worried. I thought you went undercover without telling me," Maya replied. "Plus, I haven't seen my goddaughter and godson in forever and I miss them. So where are my little children?"
Shit, do I tell her about... everything?
"A lot has been going on for a few weeks, and let's just say things have been hectic. Also, my kids are in my room. They're watching TV."
"Why are they in your room?" Maya asked.
"That's because—" you were saying before getting cut off by a familiar voice.
"Hey, (Y/N), who was at the door?" a deep voice spoke. You turned around to see Midoriya, clad in a tank top and shorts with a very sweaty Todoroki in the corridor, just returning from the basement.
"WHO. THE. HELL. IS. THAT?!" your friend exclaimed, pointing.
In hindsight, you should've prepared for this. You understood her surprise, of course. If two 6-foot-something men popped up in her living room, you would've done something crazier.
You pushed her hand down, and it sprung up again. "They're part of why I haven't been answering your calls. Maya, meet Todoroki and Midoriya. They're some friends that wanted to visit for a few days," you lied.
You'd been getting good at that lately.
You wanted to tell her the truth, but you didn't want her to get involved in the Japan case. You already felt like you asked a lot from her as is.
Your friend looked at the two men nervously while they smiled at her, glad to have another human to interact with.
"It's nice to meet you both. Hope you're enjoying your stay. (Y/N), can I talk to you for a minute? It's urgent."
"Yeah sure what's u—?" you tried to reply while she roughly dragged you towards your room, slamming the door.
"So you couldn't—"
