Over the next few days, you made strides in recovery. You were walking better now, no longer needing your wheelchair as much. You transitioned to crutches, strengthening the muscles in your arms and legs. Your injuries were healing well, you seemed better mentally and physically. Your doctors watched in shock as you responded well to stimuli, claiming you to be a miracle.
Everyone watched you with proud yet cautious eyes. If you so much as stumble, they're there to help you up. You appreciate them greatly.
....
Fucking body, you groaned to yourself as you walked out of your room, crutches in hand. Your entire body ached, concerning cracks in your back and legs. Your body wasn't supposed to do that. At least, not that much.
You blame it on finally letting your kids to sleep in your room. They weren't as small anymore, taking up more space on your king size bed.
You cursed under your breath about the pain, complaining. You went to grab the heating pad in the living room, hoping to find a comfortable solution. You hadn't noticed Iida's concerned stare. He heard your constant muttering, suspecting that you got it from Midoriya.
"Are you OK (L/N)-san?"
You jumped, wincing in pain. "Shit! I didn't see you there."
"I've been here for the past 15 minutes."
"Oh."
"Are you alright?" he asked again.
"Hmm? I'm fine."
"You've been muttering countlessly."
"Oh."
"Are you sure you're up to par?"
"Ye—" you couldn't finish, groaning at the pain in your legs and back. Your legs buckle, and you land on your knees.
"(L/N)!" Iida shouts, rushing to your side. You wave him away, clutching your body close to you.
"I'm fine, just a little pain," you dismiss, voice airy and breathless.
"A little?! You're literally on your knees!"
"I—" Before you can console him, he's picking you up, carefully bringing you to the couch.
"Iida, I'm fine. You didn't have to pick me up." You ignore the flush of embarrassment crawling up your neck and cheeks.
He shakes his head, setting you down gently. "You are obviously not fine. What is causing this reaction anyway?"
You sighed, scratching your cheek. "A myriad of things."
"Such as?" he asks. You want to dismiss him again, but the look of pure concern and fear for your physiology has you sighing.
"I worked a long shift yesterday, and I forgot to stretch before doing anything. Plus, my period decided to attack me last night, so overall I feel like shit."
Embarrassment crawls up your neck, and you shove it down. It's a normal thing, and if he's weirded out, that his fucking problem.
To your surprise, Iida nodded with understanding, handling you with even greater care.
"Show me where it hurts."
You tilt your head, pondering for a moment. "Everywhere."
He nods, not at all deterred by your statement. "I can perform reflexology to relieve your muscles and body if you'd like?"
"Reflexology?"
"A massage, if you will."
You tap your chin. "I guess that can work."
