Lisa was trashing left and right due to the uncomfortable surface she was slept in. In her mind, she was thinking to make a complaint to the hotel management to change her mattress. She guaranteed that her back will ache once she wakes up.
She pulled the blanket tighter into her chest since the AC was quite low. The whirling sound of the AC was noisy. It was disturbing her again. She needs to wake up to increase the temperature. Her mind slowly to gain consciousness, but her eyes remained closed. Her senses started to work. She was hugging something. Without bother to even see what it was, she kicked it away from her.
A laugh echoed in her ears. Her forehead frowned. If she was dreaming why it appeared so close to her? Just beside her...
Slowly her eyes fluttered trying to adjust to the blinding lights from the ceiling. She turned to her right to meet another person's face.
"Jeon Jungkook!" She panicked.
"Hey, calm down." Jungkook lept backwards.
Lisa hugged the blanket tighter to her body. She peeked her surrounding under the blanket.
Once she saw a familiar face, she was panicked.
"Jeon Jungkook!!" She screamed.
"Stop screaming."
She was still in his office on his couch. She slept on his couch just now.
"Jeon Jungkook!!"
"Why are you screaming?"
"What have you done to me?!"
"I did what?"
"You... touch me!!!"
He smiled. "If I touch you, why are your clothes still on your body?"
Immediately, her hands ran all over her body under the blanket. She heaved a relieved sigh.
"I was hugging something just now?"
Jungkook pointed at the Cooky plushy that was on the floor beside her.
"You slept like a baby. So soundly. But once you wake up, you kick everything that went on your way."
Lisa quickly changed her sitting position and that was when she noticed Angel, Lay and Xioatan was kneeling on the floor, eyeing her in guilt.
"What's wrong?"
"Don't you know?" He asked her back.
"Know what?"
"There was an attempt to kidnap me. Last night was a planned attack and just now, a sleeping pill was put in my drink. Lisa ssi is not quirky enough to trick me. I changed my coffee with you. You passed out. Your companions have been caught and they all confessed."
Lisa glared at the three of them that made them ducked their heads lower.
"What are they to do with me? I don't know anything." Lisa defended herself.
"My people saw you with them, privately."
"There's no such thing. We always see each other because we work here together."
"I knew that you won't admit it."
"Admit what?"
"Admit that you are the mastermind of all these plans."
"Why do I want to kidnap you?!"
"To make me your husband."
Crickets made their entrance.
Lisa laughed. Those were the lamest jokes she ever heard.
"No Sir Jeon. We wanted to kidnap you and knock you on your head to make you remember your memories back. So, you will remember Miss Lisa and then get married and live happily ever after."
Lisa wanted to hit Lay instead. He was embarrassing her. This is not a fairytale. It doesn't work like that!
"See? I didn't plan it?"
"Yes, still, the point is wanting me to be your husband."
Lisa was left speechless. It's not a lie that she wanted him to be her husband.
"Silence means yes and truth."
"Silence means helpless in a meaningless one-sided argument."
Jungkook put his hands on his waist. He turned his body to the three, kneeling in front of him.
"This is my final warning to all of you, for now, I will let you go. If there any attempt on me in future, I won't compromise. I will make sure that all of you receive severe punishment. You all can leave."
Lay, Angel and Xiaotan stood and bowed to Jungkook before left through the door.
Lisa was about to leave too. She tidied his couch and went to the door.
"Lisa ssi... you can't leave yet."
He closed the door.
"Accompany me... when I'm having my meals when I'm riding and tell me everything about us."
"I'm not interested."
"Why?"
"I had the best relationships with both Jeon Jungkook. Both of them taught me different things in life. They both left big impressions on me and their presence change me into someone better. I learned to appreciate people more and love myself. I don't know who I am facing right now. I'm not ready to start any new relationship now."
"Have you close your heart to anyone."
"My heart is for my fiancé. Only him. No other. If you are not my fiancé, I'm not interested."
"Why are you not interested?"
"Because you don't remember who you are."
"Arent you the one that responsible for what happened to me? Now you want to run away?"
Guilt trap!
He was good. Lisa credited him.
"Why do you love Jungkook?"
"Because he's my fiancé."
"Why do you love the other him?"
"Because I want him to remember me back."
Jungkook wanted to say something but Lisa stopped him.
"Jungkook... enough. Don't torture me anymore. I know your way to recover is not easy. You look good externally but internally you are suffering. We both are suffering. I don't dare to look at you in your face right now. I want to apologize but at the same time, I know I don't deserve anything from you. Nothing even on my deathbed."
"There's just one thing that I really want for now. Just come back to your old self." Lisa whispered slowly.
"I did."
"Did what?"
"I came back."
Oh My God!
"Kookie...?"
He nodded and smiled.
Her knees gave out. She was kneeling in front of him.
"Baby... come sit beside me. Stop kneeling."
Lisa shook her head.
"I want to kneel to you and seek forgiveness to you until the day I die. I am so sorry that I loathe myself so much."
"I will always forgive you... then, now and forever."
Her sobs intensified.
"Please stop crying..."
"Please let me cry. The pain was too overwhelming that it suffocated me. I want to let it out... I am so grateful..."
"Lily... your tears are so precious. Don't let them fall at this joyful moment. We should celebrate it with happiness. Your tears... they are like diamonds, so mesmerising and valuable. Your smiles are like roses, so red and luscious that brighten the world surround you. Even though the flowers don't last long, I will rather see them... you are happy and living well."
"What should I do? You want both... now I'm crying and laughing at the same time.
