Chapter 54: Proposal

There they were. Arrived in a jeep with two other jeeps in tow. Mr Jeon jumped out from the vehicle first. He hasn't seen her, she did her best hiding behind Jungkook's large figure.

"Son, you surprised us when you said you want to come here today. We were bored at the villa and your mother suggested for us to join you. I hope you don't mind."

Mr Jeon was walking toward the opposite door to assist his wife.

"The more the merrier. I don't mind if you want to join us." Jungkook was about to walk to them but Lisa held his shirt at the back that halted his movement.

Thinking that maybe Lisa was being shy, he stood still with one hand holding hers.

"We were about to leave the villa when your old friends came over to meet you. We invited them to come with us..." Mrs Jeon's voice trailed when she realized someone's presence behind her son.

"Son, you said you were here with someone." Her eyes caught a glimpse of a girl behind her son.

"Yeah... let me introduce her to you." Jungkook pulled Lisa to his side.

She knew it would happen. She cant escape forever.

"It's a girl. You didn't tell me anything last night." His mother sounded happy about him seeing a girl. Lisa's heart saddened that his mother wished for him to move on from her.

"Baby, this is my parents, please introduce yourself."

"Hello, Mr and Mrs Jeon." Lisa bowed without lifting her head.

Mrs Jeon was eyeing Lisa sceptically. She eyed her up and down and a sense of familiarity hit her.

"Lift your face dear, its rude to greet people without showing your face." She spoke gracefully. Lisa was not moving. She was getting nervous the more she stood there.

"Don't be shy dear. Its been a while since our Kookie brought a girl home. It was always Amy. We would like to see a new face too."

Mrs Jeon was so sweet but Lisa knew better what can she do for her son. She shouldn't have followed Jungkook.

Lisa lifted her head and swept her hair away from her face.

"Omma, appa, this is Lalisa."

Lisa broadens her shoulders and smiled as graceful as she could and acted as if it was her first time meeting them.

"Hello, my name is Lalisa Manoban. I'm sorry. I was quite shy about meeting new people." She flashed the sweetest smile she got and linked her arm to Jungkook's.

Mrs Jeon was speechless and the blood drained from her face. She was paled the moment her eyes landed on Lisa.

"Hello, Lisa ssi. It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too sir."

"Kookie, I think I made your mom too shocked. She was speechless now." Lisa laughed trying to lift the mood.

"Maybe. Omma, are you that shocked?" Jungkook ran to his mother and held her shoulders.

Mrs Jeon tried to compose herself and smiled nervously.

"Yes. I was. My bad. How are you doing dear? You got some free times to join us today."

"I'm doing good Mrs Jeon but your son can't stop pestering me."

Nobody noticed the hidden meaning behind their conversations except for elder Mr Jeon.

"We're together now. She's my special girlfriend and the best thing that ever happened to me."
