Chapter 48: His Confrontation and Her Sanity

That would be their first time walking together in the hotel area after his accident. Their paces were slow complimenting each other. The wind was stronger that night. Her thin pyjamas didn't help much to secure the heat in her body. She was silent along their way to the beach. Jungkook felt bothered by her silence.

"Are you okay?"

Lisa just nodded.

"We used to walk like this too. Every night." Her voice was low.

Jungkook bent his head lower. Lisa was alarmed.

"I need someone... to hear me out."

He was looking devastated. Pain decorated his face.

"I'm sorry if you feel uncomfortable with me. I supposed to cheer you up, not making you sadder."

Lisa hated to hear him say sorry. She's the one that should say sorry then and now.

"Don't fret. It's cold tonight. I don't talk much when it's cold."

Lisa tried to lift the mood with her cheerful expression.

A smile slipped on his face.

"Why you broke into my house? You are an idol, it seemed unlikely to see someone like you do something like that?"

"How can you tell it was me?"

Lisa was certain her disguise was perfect.

"Your lips gave you away. I thought I recognize those somewhere."
"When I arrived here, I learned that you are one of the mentors for a survival show and most of the staff are your fans so they showed unconditional loves to you. Even Director Zhang spoke highly of you. Besides, you seemed to love to avoid me too. I understand if we are avoiding each other in front of media, but you can't even look at me in the eyes when we were alone."

Lisa was getting anxious. She didn't expect his confrontation at all.

"Why you tripped Amy?"

Lisa's eyes widened. He saw?! But he still backed her up.

"I know there is something that is hidden from me. Is everyone thinks I'm abnormal? I'm confused."

Lisa's heart fell. The way he was looking at her as if he was expecting her answer.

"I, as you know, your co-idol and recording a survival show here in your hotel. I have been here for almost four months. It's normal when people talked and admire me because of I'm Lisa. Who doesn't love me?"

Lisa praised herself.

"Then, how can you know Amy?"

"I have seen her once. I don't know her. She just came to me."

"She said she knew you."

"She must be mistaken."

"It's impossible for someone like you to be mistaken!"

He was getting impatient.

"Then, why you tripped her? There's no reason to do it right?"

"Because she mistook me to someone else!"

Lisa couldn't think of any logical reason. She was being weird at that time.

Jungkook's expression was getting darker. He knew she was lying and the answer made him angrier.

"Lisa-ssi, I might get into an accident but I'm not stupid. I can differentiate the truth and lie."

"Jungkook sunbae, if you still want to argue about this, I will take my leave. I'm sleepy!"
