Chapter 62: Love Birds

Jungkook waited with Charming in the front hotel lobby. He invited her to trot along the beach. Everything went back to how it was. Lisa didn't want to ask for anything more. She already got what she wanted. Except for his memories.

"I do have questions to ask you." Jungkook took out two phones from his pocket. They were resting beside the fallen coconut tree facing the sea.

"What is it?"

"My memories of you are still vague or should I say, none."

Lisa was calm listening to him. Jungkook was confused by her reaction.

"You are not shocked?"

"I have been through hell these past months. Nothing fazes me anymore. Besides, the doctor said that it will take some times to recover. Maybe up to a year? So, we just have to wait."

"What if I'd never remembered you again?"

"I will let fate decides. I don't want to think about it. As long as we are still together, I have no regret. I can still woo you until you fall in love with me."

Jungkook switched on his phones and scrolled the gallery.

"There's a lot of your pictures on my phones, including videos and audios... both sides of me seemed to adore you a lot. They both expressed their feeling to you in special ways. They helped me in finding you and omma explained half of it. You did your best to save me.... you want to come back to you. Benjamin did visit sometimes. I asked everyone about you and all of them have their point of views. It's time I heard it from you too."

"There's nothing more that I can share with you. I don't want to stray in the past too long. I want to move forward. Whatever you have heard could be correct, could be wrong. I don't make you more confuse as you already are."

"Do you want to hear the recording?"

Lisa shook her head.

"I have experienced and seen all your loves, they were all in my heart. I can feel them in my body, my mind... it just that I failed to appreciate the feels."

"I can feel that... you are a strong woman... and independent... you can cry and smile at the same time. You are strong physically."

Lisa didn't prolong their tense conversation anymore.

"Shall I call you Kookie from now?"

"Well, that's what my family and friends call me anyway."

"Do you like me?" Lisa asked him.

Jungkook laughed and he paused. He took his time while staring at her eyes.

Lisa smiled shyly but waited for his answer. At the same time staring back at him, admiring the face that she missed so much.

"If I say, I don't like you, what will you do?"

"I don't mind. I will make you like me, I'll woo you, flirt with you and propose to you."

"How do you want to woo me?"

Lisa blinked her eyes a few times at this question. She hasn't wooed someone before.

Jungkook found she was adorable blinking trying to answer his question.

"It was crystal clear that you never flirt with anyone before."

"Is that a good thing?"

"Yes. You can learn flirting with me. I will be your first and your last. Do you see the two birds on the branch?"

Jungkook pointed his fingers in the direction of the birds that were chirping.

"You will be the male bird, I will be the female one. Try flirting with me. Create a dialogue for them."

Lisa was unhappy.

"Why am I supposed to be the male one?! You should be the one..."

"Fine... the female bird trying to woo the male bird. Faster! Before they fly away."

Lisa cleared her throat and thinking of any lines that she could recall from watching kdramas.

"Come on Lily..."

"You...you... I LIKE YOU! DO YOU LIKE ME?!"

She ran out of an idea.

"I don't know you, why should I like you?"

"If you get to know me, you will surely like me," Lisa whispered seductively.

"How can you be so sure?" Jungkook was immune to her attempt.

"Because you prefer the original. You won't like it hot and spicy!" Lisa lost her mind. She was babbling random thoughts that came across her mind.

"I see, you are a bird from KFC?"

"Nope, I prefer McDonald's. Their chicken is better. We went there every two weeks during trainee days but that time there was no chicken yet."

"I think you're a sexy bird." Jungkook cut. He was the one flirting with her.

"Why do you say I'm sexy when I am fully dressed?" She replied.

"Can you differentiate clothes and feathers?"

"Those feathers are my clothes."

"I don't see any feather on your body." It's getting ridiculous.

Laugh echoed between those two.

"Come on Lily, they're leaving."

"Alright. Let me think... You are a pervert!"

"You're a pervert. You're the one flirting with me." He laughed.

Lisa knew she can't win against him.

"I don't like you... never like you. Fly away from me!"

"Every time you get angry, my feathers shiver..."

"Oh my God, that sounds weird." Lisa laughed.

"Well, I tell you from the bird's perspective... You are so beautiful and sweet. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"I should be the one to propose to you..."

"Just go along with it. Will you be my girlfriend? I love when you're sleeping like a baby, but once you wake up, you push everything that on your way."

He was teasing her.

"I don't want to be your girlfriend. You pervert!"

"Anyone can be a pervert when it comes to you. Your face when you asleep... your lips...." He stopped.

"That's why I don't like you. You're a pervert!"

They both eyed the birds, things were getting steamy when the birds started kissing with their beaks.

Lisa was getting flustered and nervous to continue her dialogue. Jungkook smiled knowingly and acted as if he was reaching a remote control and switch off the TV.

"The channel was not in your subscription."

Lisa patted her jacket pocket and took out a bar of chocolate. She snapped some of it and offered it to Jungkook.

He refused but Lisa insisted. He opened his mouth.

"Delicious?"

He nodded. Lisa smirked. She too took a bit and moaned when the cocoa melt in her mouth. Suddenly, a force grasped her chocolate from her hand. She saw Jungkook devoured her chocolate. All she ever got back was the wrapper. He was lucky that she liked him.
