"Why are you doing that, Jungkook?" Lisa was confused and shocked by his exclamation earlier. The delegation from Taiwan congratulated them. But people shouldn't know about them yet. Isn't he should be scared?
"Come on, he was pestering you. I cant just see him touch you as he wanted. You are mine. I don't share." He said while pouting. They were in the car, going back to the hotel. Lisa let out a heavy sigh.
"I appreciated it very much, but I don't feel right knowing that my family, our friends don't know about this. I should tell them first. Good news must be shared I want them to know too." Her engagement with Jungkook was still a secret aside from hotel staff and that Taiwan delegation and Jungkook already asked them to not tell other people for now.
It was good enough that they agreed to compromise about keeping it as secret.
"I know. I won't lie to our family. Just trust me, okay." He rubbed Lisa's hand on her lap and kissed it slowly down the road. Lisa was silent and not satisfied. Jungkook knew what she was thinking. He will make it right he just needs times and trust from Lisa.
"Don't worry baby. I promise you that we will never leave our family and friends behind." He gave her reassurance to coax her. It made Lisa smile a little bit.
"Okay. I trust you." Jungkook gave her his bunny smile that made Lisa squealed at his cuteness.
"I'll be back to Korea for a few days. So, if you got any problem please seek Director Zhang or Angel for assistance."
"Why? You have done your work here?"
"No. I need to see my father. He wanted a report for hotel progress. Besides, I have been here longer than you. Its been a while since I go back."
They arrived at the hotel. Jungkook cupped Lisa's sour face. He kissed her forehead eyes, cheeks and lips, trying to cheer her up.
"I will miss you then. Come back fast okay?"
"Pinky promise..." Jungkook offered his little finger which made Lisa laughed. She gladly accepted by linking her finger with his.
"I'll see you in a few days. Don't cry." Jungkook joked which made him received a slap from Lisa when they exited his car. They walked hand in hand to the elevator.
The lobby was full of customers, but they don't mind Lisa and Jungkook. After sending Lisa in front of her suite, Jungkook left for his suite a level above.
As soon as Lisa sat on the couch, her phone rang. It was her brother, James faced time her.
"Hello sis, how are you doing?" Lisa saw his face on the screen.
"Oppa. I miss you. I am fine. How is everyone doing?"
"There is someone that has been looking for you. He was upset because you left without informing him." Lisa's eyebrows lifted.
"Oh, that guy. He can't live without me? I see. Where is he?"
"He's not here. I'll tell him to call you later. So, are you happy these days?" James asked. From his voice, he acted like he knew something.
"Yes. I am happy. The trainees are nice and friendly and co-mentors spoiled me. I feel like a baby." Lisa laughed when she recalled the day during the live conference where mentor Ella stood by her side, translating everything, Mentor Jony like an older brother and Kun, a younger brother she doesn't have.
"I watched your live conference. That Kun kid was so nice that people started shipping you with him." Lisa's face frowned at the idea. She better not let Jungkook know about this. He will go berserk.
"We have not even known each other well Oppa. What are these people thinking?"
"Let them be. They are just having fun. Don't take them to serious. Arent of your ships almost becoming real?" Lisa frowned.
"Which ship?!" She doesn't like being ship with co-idol because when they meet it's always filled with awkwardness.
"L.I.S.K.O.O.K" There. James spelt the letter one by one before laughing in delight.
Lisa was red as the realization hit her and she grunted.
"Oppa, stop it." She sulked.
"Hahaha. Okay. I'll stop. I am looking forward to your first episode. When will it be aired?" He asked when his laugh subdued.
"Soon, I think you will like it." Lisa giggled remembering the progress they did so far.
"No spoiler?"
"No. You are not that special to get a spoiler."
"No fun." James made his sulky face. But Lisa won't budge.
"You need to wait as other people oppa."
"Okay, whatever. I need to leave now. Take care princess. Love you." The call ended and Lisa's mind when back to her family in Korea and Thailand. And of course, she missed a certain Someone the most.
She should meet him soon.
After a week,
Jungkook hasn't come back from Korea and Lisa missed him like crazy. Even though they did video calls with each other, it was not the same seeing them in person.
So, to distracted herself, she focused on her job and trained the trainees well. Trying to be as busy as she can.
The practice when well for all trainees and Lisa was proud of her teaching skills. They were ready to perform. The show will go live every Thursday and Saturday.
The backstage was hectic with the trainees getting cold feet and the mentors trying to calm them down. Lisa was ready wearing her outfit and she also needed to standby because they will sit at the mentor lounge watching their trainees perform and listen to the comments from the judges.
"Lisa, sunbae." Handong was seen coming to her direction.
"Oh, Handong-ssi. Are you ready for tonight?" Handong nodded vigorously.
"I was born ready. I don't come to become a failure." Lisa can see the fire in her eyes. She liked it.
"Okay, fighting." Lisa left backstage and went to the mentor lounge. It was located at the left side of the studio facing the stage. All mentors were already seated at their respective seat.
The audience filled the seats in minutes and the atmosphere was heated and exciting.
"Many people come to support the show. We don't have this many audiences during our show." Kun said while turning his back looking at the crowd. He waved to them that cause an uproar.
"I think this is due to Mentor Lisa. Her influence and popularity are beyond our imagination. A global superstar they said." Mentor Ella teased Lisa.
"That's nonsense. All the mentors are talented and well known. Plus, you are already big in China." Lisa refused to acknowledge she was the one that helped the increases of views.
"Okay, whatever it is we are all talented and we need to do a good job. Let's enjoy the show, shall we?" Mentor Jony ended our conversation as the PD asked the audience to silent. The trainees were getting ready on the stage and the lights dimmed.
