Four years later
Many events have taken place for the past four years. Blackpink was back being four after Lisa went on hiatus for a few months. They had girl's talk sessions and Lisa decided to be honest to her members. They were sisters since trainee days. It had been four years since she met Jungkook. She deleted all her social media accounts and blocked all news about him, and anything related to him.
"Lisa, YG called you to his office." The manager told her when she entered the studio. Lisa and her members looked at each other in astonishment. It was rare for YG to call them without reason unless you did something wrong. She gulped nonetheless but went straight to his office.
Exiting the elevator, she knocked YG's office and came in after instructed to do so. YG was sitting on his chair behind his desk reading some documents. She sat in front of him.
"You called me Sajangnim?" She asked nervously.
"Yes. Don't be afraid. You did nothing wrong. Read this." He handed her the documents he was reading just now. Lisa scanned the document at a glance. An offer to become a mentor for a survival show in China.
"A mentor Sajangnim? As in a teacher?" He nodded.
"They wanted you to be one of the mentors for their new survival show, Youth with You season 2! I can't decline since this is a rare opportunity to expose you to the public again. Its been four years and you still refuse solo promotion. I already confirmed them your participation, all you need to do is just signed."
Lisa was dumbfounded. She agreed she had been avoiding the media and solo activities like plague but YG had enough of her. She read the contract carefully before signing the papers.
"When will I start Sajangnim?"
"In a month, I think. You will have a meeting with them anytime soon and they asked for you to learn the language since you will be the first foreign mentor. Wait for an update from your manager."
Lisa nodded and bowed before she left the room. She went back to the studio where her members were.
At a restaurant in Seoul
"Hi, Lisa I am Erxi, one of the producers of Idol Producer. It's nice to meet you." She gave Lisa her hand which she accepted the gesture.
"Nice to meet you. Thank you for inviting me as one of the mentors. I was overwhelmed when I have first informed of this news."
"You are talented Lisa and we are looking forward to working together with you," Erxi said with a smile on her face.
"Likewise," Lisa replied. The waiter came to place their order on the table.
"The show will take place in a few months from now, so in the mean times, you and other mentors will have to think and drop your challenge or mission first in Weibo. The participants will be chosen from their performances in their ability to fulfil all the mentor's tasks during the audition."
Erxi showed the list of existing mentors and most all of them are Chinese except for her.
"The show will be three months long and the location of the broadcast will be in Atlantis Sanya in Sanya. You will have to stay there until the show ended."
Lisa's eyes went wide. Atlantis Sanya was quite an expensive hotel. How much money they invested in this show.
"All of your accommodation will be prepared by our management. You just need to attend and train the contestants." Lisa breathed a sigh of relief. Two months in a luxury hotel could make her broke.
"When will I have to announce my challenge?" Lisa asked.
"It won't be too long. But is it okay for you to learn the language before the show starts?" Erxi looked at her in guilt.
"No, I don't mind. It could be fun." Lisa chuckled.
"Okay, then. I will contact your manager for the next update. Thank you, Lisa, for having us." Both of them stood up from their chairs and bowed and left the room. Lisa and her manager walked to their van.
"I feel nervous, oppa. What if I mess things up?" She balled her fists and breathing heavily while entering the van.
"Relax. I will find a tutor for you later. You can ask your members to join you, so you won't get bored and lonely." He said when they were on the road.
"Yeah, it would be nice."
Dorm
"Eonni, I'm home," Lisa yelled from the front door. Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé were in the living room.
"Welcome home." A monotone voice replied. Jennie was laying on the couch watching a drama.
"You got food?" An eager voice said.
"I miss you, Lisa." Someone hugged her. Clinging Rosé with her avocado soft toy.
"Yah, Jisoo eonni, you love food more than me?" Lisa hugged Rosé back and put a box of chicken on the coffee table.
"Yes, Lisa. Blame the chicken because I can eat chicken, but I can't eat you. So, chicken wins this time." She held a piece of drumstick and devoured it. Savage eonni.
"How was the meeting Lisa?" Jennie came to sit next to her.
"The meeting went well. They did the talking because it was just a briefing on what it was all about. In a few months, I will have to leave for China and stay there for a whole three months. For now, I need to learn Mandarin and think of what I want for my first mission."
"Wow, I'm jealous of you Lisa," Rosé said.
"Stop bluffing Chaeyoung-ah. You should make a dance challenge Lisa. It's one of your specialities, right?" Jisoo slapped Rosé's arm and eat another piece of chicken.
"Maybe. Eonni-deul, would you like to join the language class with me?" She gave them her puppy eyes.
"Your aegyo doesn't work for me, Lisa." Jisoo turned the other way. Jennie gave Lisa her stone face and Rosé was avoiding her eye contact. Almost eating the bait.
"Chaeng. Please..."
"Okay fine. You're lucky that I love you." Rosé munched the chicken with a pouty
"Do you know the place you will go to Lisa?"
"Yes, Jisoo eonni. It is in Sanya, Atlantis Sanya."
"Waa. Luxury hotel. They invested a lot of money for a mere tv show." Jennie said.
"It could be due to your popularity Lisa-yah."
"I have no comment on that, but I will try to cherish the moment by enjoying myself there. It could be my mini vacation. Ehe."
Busan
A half-decade man was sitting behind his desk. He was facing her desktop PC and rereading the documents. He sighed and massaged his temples for nth times. One of his hotels in China was facing financial problems and needed to be solved immediately but he can't go there due to his old age and health.
His wife entered the office with a cup of camomile tea and a plate of biscuits.
"Are you okay dear?" She went to her husband's back and gave him a massage.
"The problems are worsening, I'm afraid we can't recover the loss of we don't act now. They need help there but I can't leave, I'm too old already, not fit to travel anymore." He sighed.
His wife slapped him on his shoulder.
"You have a son, don't you? Just ask him to go there and solve the problem."
"I know but, does he want to? He's an idol, not a businessman. Besides, he must be busy with his tour and group activities."
"Just talk to him first and he's not on tour now so, it's okay. I just called him this morning." She patted her husband's hand. He nodded and dialled his son.
"Hello adeul, dad's here. Do you mind to help me with something?"
