It had been one week and a half since Lisa last saw her fiancé. That man seemed to forget her existence in his hotel. She felt quite lonely with no one to entertain her. Her eonni also were busy with their schedules that they don't call her much, just texts and very short ones too. She gritted her teeth in frustration while munching the croissant as if she was munching someone's head.
"Hey, Lisa are you alone?" Ella sat in front of her. Lisa choked on her tea and coughed. Ella rubbed her back and laughed.
"Don't you see me coming?" She asked amusedly with a smirk on her face.
"No. I was thinking about something else. Sorry about that. Please have some." Lisa pushed her plate to Ella. She still got a croissant and a muffin in the plate. Her appetite already went away.
"What were you thinking? You are pretty occupied with it that some trainees greeted and passed by, you didn't even acknowledge them." Lisa's face fell. Guilt appeared on her face.
"Oh, I don't realise that."
"Never mind. They'll be fine. Some of them scared of you now." she said in a low voice while smiling that made Lisa scowled.
"I'm not that harsh, aren't I?" Ella shrugged her shoulder.
"They just don't expect that a sweet girl like you, would have that strict teacher attitude. They were just shocked. Your duality is something, Lisa." Ella chuckled.
"You're talking nonsense, Ella." Lisa laughed when Ella made her funny face.
"What are you doing tonight, Lisa?"
"I'm not sure. Why?"
Lisa checked her schedule on her phone but a voice interrupted her.
"I'm afraid she's not available tonight." The voice came from Ella's back which was facing the café's entrance.
Ella turned around and gasped looking at the person.
"I can't believe my eyes." She rubbed her eyes a few times to make sure she was not hallucinating.
"Lisa, isn't he the one from the famous boy group in Korea?" Ella asked but her question got no reply from the Thai girl. She was astonished and too shocked to react.
"Baby, I'm back." Jungkook opened her arms for her to hug him but the hug never come.
Lisa was looking at him without moving an inch. He studied her face carefully while his mind's screw trying to figure out if he did wrong.
Her face was stoic and Jungkook felt nervous about it.
Lisa stood from her sitting and walked toward Jungkook. Her eyes were cold and then she widened her steps and fastened her pace, Jungkook started to circle the table with Lisa on his tail.
Ella was speechless at the situation.
"You brat! You promised me to be back after a few days. DAYS. Now it is a WEEK and a HALF!" Lisa grabbed and threw her half-eaten croissant to Jungkook which he managed to avoid.
"I'm sorry. Things were more complicated than I thought. I need more time to solve them." Jungkook stopped when he saw his Lily stood silently opposite of him. He approached her slowly, arm reaching for her slowly but still being cautious of any incoming blow. She was a boxer though.
He engulfed her in his arms and Lisa hit his back with her fist.
"At least you should inform me. You made me worry to death." Lisa sighed and hugged him back.
They both were too in the moment that they don't realise the presence of another human being in the room that watching the things unfold with amusement.
Ella thought she should break their bubbles for their and her sakes.
She cleared her throat.
Lisa and Jungkook let go of each other. Lisa was blushing and Jungkook scratched his head awkwardly.
"Take a seat both of you. Lisa, I love gossips. Maybe we can hang out for some tea." Both Jungkook and Lisa sat in front of Ella as if she was their parents.
"He's Jeon Jungkook, a member of boy KPop group, BTS." Lisa did the introduction.
"Yes, I know. But what's he to do with you?" Lisa eyed Jungkook, asking for his assistant. He just shook his head.
"He's my fiancé." Ella spurted her coffee on the table. Lisa passed her a clean napkin and dapped her mouth.
"I was expecting something like a boyfriend or the cliché one; friend. Not fiancé. Wow, this is huge. I can't believe my eyes and ears. Goosebumps are all over my body." Ella rubbed her arms.
"I hope you can keep this from other people. We are keeping things private. Only his office's staffs know." Lisa fidgeting her fingers nervously.
Ella was confused.
"The office staffs know? How can?" Ella looked at Jungkook since he hasn't said anything.
"I'm the owner of this hotel. She always met me there." His bunny smile appeared.
"This is too much to take in. So, you guys met here?"
"No, we met four years ago. I have been courting her since then." He looked at Lisa with adoration that made the latter blushed.
"So, Lisa is the one that playing hard to get?" Ella said while winking at Lisa.
"It's not like that." She was pouting that made Ella and Jungkook laughed.
Lisa and Jungkook were flirting with their eyes that irritated Ella. She decided to leave the lovebirds alone. She finished her breakfast and left the café.
"I shall leave you lovebirds alone." She pushed the chair and they don't even glance at her.
Jungkook turned to face Lisa. His smile was wide and shining brightly.
"I miss you." He said cheekily.
"I know. Who wouldn't miss this face?" Lisa said. Smirking.
Jungkook scoffed.
"Are you free tonight?" Jungkook asked.
"Yes. I'm free. Why? You planned something?"
"Just some kind of party at my house." He said nonchalantly.
"You have a house here?" She was shocked.
"Not a house. It's my family villa. It's our engagement party."
Lisa's mood went down. She was disappointed in Jungkook's decision. He didn't discuss it with her beforehand. Jungkook realized her changes.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He lifted her chin.
"Everything is wrong. You planned on your own. How about our family and friends. Do they know? My family, your family and our friends are not here. I want to celebrate this with them." Tears started to brim in her eyes.
"I know. But please attend it for me. I promise that I will make you happy. Now smile and don't be sad. Okay?" He reassured her.
Lisa smiled but it can't keep away her sadness.
'I wished my family and eonni are here.'
