Chapter 64: Doctor Xin

Lisa was chilling in the café when the trainees were having lunch with the other mentors. From the glass walls, she saw him talking to his guests with his famous cute bunny smile. She was texting her brother to tell her family about their upcoming wedding next week. Once a while, her eyes took a glance of him and blushed when he caught her.

He was wearing a business suit that fits well on his body. It helped to boost his handsomeness and charisma. Lisa would say that he was on par with her Gongyoo oppa. He left a few buttons of his shirt unbuttoned revealing his hairless chest. That was so illegal. What if some of his fans see him and flirt with him and then they elope together?! She was not ready for that.

Soon, their eyes met. Lisa winked and he faked a shock. A smirk appeared on his face. But Lisa was not done yet. Lisa sent him a flying kiss and he choked! Lisa was dying inside. She loved to tease him that moment. Their conversation ended not long after and Jungkook started walking in her direction right on the other side of the wall.

Staff came over and Jungkook in another set of conversation. Lisa pouted but she didn't intend to disturb him. Jungkook put his hand against the wall as he was thinking. Lisa got bored waiting and his palm attracted her attention. Her fingers slowly traced his palm, drawing each line and its shape. After that she placed her right palm over him, comparing the size. She has long fingers and the biggest among her members but still, she is smaller than his.

His staff noticed her and Jungkook also look in her direction. It was so embarrassing. Lisa quickly removed her hand and acted natural. Not wanting to waste her time longer waiting for him, Lisa decided to take a walk in the café garden. While she was on her way out, she collided with a person.

"I'm sorry Miss, I didn't see you there."

"Not it's okay, I was at fault too."

Lisa thought she have seen him before from somewhere.

"Miss Lisa... it's good to see you again!"

That added Lisa's confusion.

"Have we met before?"

"Ahh... you probably don't remember me. I was the doctor that helped the man that you brought over a few weeks ago. I am Doctor Xin."

Lisa was snapped in her mind. He was the doctor that helped Jungkook when he fell.

"Yes. Doctor Xin, I'm sorry that I didn't recognize you." Lisa bowed.

"It's not a big deal. I am happy to see you are coping well. The last time at the hospital..."

"Yes, I am grateful too. Everything happened for reasons. I am very happy right now."

Doctor Xin caught a silhouette of Jungkook looking for her in the café.

"You guys are back together?"

"Yes... it does take a while, but we are meant to be."

"Good for you. I shall get going. Good luck." Doctor Xin patted Lisa on her shoulder and excused himself.

Out of nowhere, Lisa felt a threatening aura coming from her back.

"Who is he?" Jealousy was reeking his body.

"A doctor. He was the one that helped us when you were brought to the hospital."

"How many times have you see him?"

Lisa counted in her mind. It was not necessary.

"Answer me!" He was angry.

"I'm counting. Chill dude!"

"How many times have you guys met that can't even count it?!"

"I just met him twice! I met him accidentally today."

"I don't believe you. You looked so comfortable with him. He even touched you."

"Stop it. I'm tired of your jealousy. I felt grateful to him. I was thanking him. That's all."

"Are you sure you are not cheating behind my back?"

Lisa starting to rile up.

"What do you take me for?! I'm not a slut like Amy!"

Lisa ran to her room. She didn't want to fight with him. It's worthless.

"Where are you going? Yah! We are talking here!" Jungkook chased after her.

Lisa reached her room and managed to enter. But before she could close the door, Jungkook yelped.

His fingers stuck between the door and the door frame. She widened the door, and he pulled his hand rubbed it and glared at Lisa. He walked away from her door. Lisa knew better than to let him go away in anger. She pulled his suit as hard as she could that she was dragged away by him. It was a tug war between them that Jungkook finally gave in.

Inside her room, Lisa dragged him to sit on the couch. She was towering over him and suddenly she felt like a boss.

"Sit here! I'll go get the medicine." She rummaged her drawer and took put her medicine bag. She picked out a balm and sat next to him. She reached out for his reddening hand and massaged his hand with that balm. She was so concentrated on rubbing the ointment all over his fingers that she didn't notice his loving gaze for her.

"Is it better?"

"What better?"

"You hand. Is it okay? Still hurt?"

Jungkook faked a grimaced.

"Yes, I feel like my fingers are going to come off."

Guilt was eating her that time. She continued to massage him and kissed the back of his palm.

"Better?"

"Nope. It's still painful." Jungkook was smiling. Lisa noticed the difference in his tone, looked at him and slapped his hand away from her lap.

"Ouch! Watch it, woman!"

Lisa panicked and pulled back his hand while pouting. He was so despicable!

"You need to control your jealousy. Dr Xin is very nice. When I fainted at the hospital, he gave me advice. She lost his wife months after their wedding due to a misunderstanding. He told me not to give up. I almost forgot about him until today. It was pure coincidence."

Seeing Jungkook not responding, Lisa thought she had offended him.

"I'm sorry if I offend you. I'll be careful next time."

"No... I should be the one to seek your forgiveness. I didn't trust you enough, I guess."

Jungkook stood up and walked to the door.

"Get ready by six. We'll have dinner outside."
