Chapter 18: Stranger Danger

Lisa left for China for her mentor duties. Since the audition already being carried out and the contestants were chosen, she just needed to go there and started recording for the first episode. Lisa had watched the previous season of Youth with You! It was a male version, now they intended to remake the female version.

Her recorded challenge already being aired, a few weeks after her language lesson and the feedback was overwhelming. She arrived at the hotel at dusk and luckily the production team provided a car to fetch her.

Arriving at the hotel, Lisa went to the receptionist to check-in into her room for the next three months. She was told that the team had booked two floors for the staffs and mentors.

"Good evening mam, welcome to Atlantis Sanya." A girl named Xiaotan greeted with a big smile.

"Good evening. I come to check in into my room under Big Star Broadcasting."

Xiaotan typed something on the keyboard and faced Lisa.

"Yes, mam. They booked the entire two floors. May I know your name, mam?" She asked. Lisa thought that the room must be assigned individually.

"Lalisa Manoban."

"Please wait." She typed her keyboard again and her eyebrows connected.

"Seems like your room had changed mam. It was supposed to be a Premium suite on 21st floor together with other broadcast staffs." Lisa shocked. She was afraid that she was left behind.

"So, do I got a normal room or something?"

Xiaotan smiled and shook her head.

"No, mam. Your room was upgraded into Supreme suite, the most expensive units in our hotel on the 30th floor. Here's your key. Please enjoy your stay."

Lisa accepted the key and went to the elevator. In her mind was how the hell did they able to provide her with the most expensive units in the hotel in Atlantis Sanya. The normal room itself already quite a fortune.

In an office room

A man was sitting on his leather chair in his suite. A staff knocked on his door and entered.

"Sir, she's here." He said.

"Did she get the right room?" The man asked.

"Yes, luckily the room was transferred soon enough. Staff Xiaotan almost gave her the original room."

The man sighed in relief.

"Tomorrow, there will be a meeting with their representatives?"

"Yes, sir. Would you like to attend?"

"No, asked Director Zhang to cover for me. You may leave Han." The staff left and he continued to watch the sunset over the horizon.

"Baby, you are here. So close yet so far. I will win you back. May the force be with us, Lisa."

The man stood up and grabbed the telephone on his bedside table.

"Hello, Jeon Jungkook's here. Please give three days leave for Xiaotan from receptionist table. Tell her it is for her outstanding performances."

"Okay, sir. I will tell her right away. Good night sir."

"Good night."

Supreme suite was what Lisa thought close to a royal room. It was spacious and luxuries. She doesn't know what good deed she has done to be blessed with this. She decided to video call her members.

Lisa: Eonni deul, guess what?

Jennie: What? You've arrived at the hotel?

Jisoo: Let me see your room. Premium room is beautiful they said.

Lisa: Hahaha eonni, I got better than Premium.

Rosé: What is better than Premium?

Lisa: I got Supreme. The room is like royalty. You see.

The camera showed the entire room. The king-size bed with velvet curtain, the huge mini bar, bathroom with jacuzzi.

Jennie: Shoot, Lisa. You are so lucky. Big Star loves you that much?

Lisa frowned hearing that.

Lisa: The things is I thought they removed me when the staff said that my name was not in Premium, I was assuming for normal suite until she said I was being upgraded.

Rosé: Heol. Do you know who did that?

Lisa: I don't know.

Jennie: What if he's a sasaeng? A rich one.

Lisa: Yah, you scared me.

Lisa bit her lips. Jisoo sensing Lisa's discomfort,

Jisoo: Maybe your fans in China. They could have collecting funds for you.

Lisa smiled and appreciate Jisoo's gesture. She was at ease a bit.

Lisa: Yeah, maybe.

Jisoo: Btw Lisa, please take care of yourself and don't work too hard. When you are being a teacher you need to advise your student to stay healthy. To do that, you need to stay healthy too. Understand?

Lisa: Yes, eonni. I will hang up now. Good night, I love you.

JenChuChaeng: Love you too Lisa.

After she ended the call, Lisa took the schedule that Erxi gave her. Tomorrow morning all mentors and some PDs will attend a meeting with the hotel management team. She doesn't know the significance of the meeting though.

Lisa chose to sleep early since she was having jet lagged and needed to go to the meeting tomorrow. After doing her night routine, she went to sleep.

The next morning,

The clothes for today went for casual but formal. The meeting will be starting at 10 am, it was still 8 am. Maybe a morning stroll along the beach would be nice. She put on a pair of shorts and a crop top with a pair of sandals. Since it was a private beach, she doesn't even bother to wear a face mask. Just a pair of shades to protect her eyes from sunlight.

From afar, several boats and ships could be seen. It had been a while since she had the freedom without people pestering her. Her thought was interrupted when she heard a horse galloping somewhere on the beach. On her left, a man was riding a black horse.

What attracted Lisa was the man, his physique was very nice and somehow, she had a sense of familiarity.

The man glanced her way, but Lisa can't see his face. He was wearing a pair of shades too. Lisa was certain that both of them were having an eye contacts session and her heart went wild. She had never felt like that to anyone except for...

Except for him.

Her mood became foul. She missed him. So much.

Lisa was happy to know that Somi was his sister but she regretted all her actions toward him.

Once, they broke their eye contacts, he proceeded to ride his horse while headed to her suite to get ready for the meeting.

However, she doesn't know that they were so close yet so far.
