Chapter 13: Lily Met Lisa

"Lisa. Are you okay?" Her mother came to sit on the stool beside her. Jungkook left a few hours ago. Seeing his retreating back made her chest in pain.

"Am I doing the right thing, mom?" She felt lost, regret, mad and sad at the same time. She had no idea what she must do. She was a mummy now.

"I cannot tell that because I don't know either. Fate decides everything my daughter, including what happened years ago. Humans can't be blamed." Lisa realised her mother was mentioning the accident that took her twin's life.

"So, I just have to live with it. Again." It was so painful to see her daughter in this state. They once tried to bring back their daughter to who she was before the other daughter dies, but all efforts were useless. Pranpriya was death along with her twin.

"Lily." Her mother called. Lisa was shocked. Nobody ever calls her by the name for years.

"I miss my Lily. Please come back. Lisa already left us. Don't let Lily go too. It's too horrible to lose one daughter. I don't want to lose another one." Her mother sobbed and it broke her heart. Mrs Bruschweiler was a strong lady in front of the public, but she was a fragile woman when it comes to her family. Her children were her poisons and meds. She couldn't lives without them.

When her mother was weeping, Lisa can see the desperation, sadness and hope in her mother's eyes.

Lisa was aware that they missed Lily and her mother was calling for Lily. Not Lisa.

Lalisa and Pranpriya was a set of a twin but their personalities were different.

As Lalisa was an outgoing and friendly person, Pranpriya rather an introvert and spent most of her times indoor reading books and painting.

She thought her family preferred Lalisa over her because Thais do. She was the heiress that people looked up too. After Lalisa died, she chose to become Lalisa to subdued her parents longing towards her. She neglected her true self and wearing a mask that pleased people.

But she'd never known that they don't need Lisa. They need Lily. At first, they let her used Lalisa's name because they thought Pranpriya aren't ready to let go of her twin.

But after years, the girl named Pranpriya seemed to cease to exist as she grew accustomed to name Lalisa. Her mother noticed that she miss her Pranpriya as much as she missed her Lalisa.

"I'm sorry mom. I don't know that." Lisa coaxed her mother by rubbing her back in circles. The elder put her head on her daughter's shoulder.

"Mom. Let's go home. I want to meet Lisa. Its been a while since we met." Her mother stopped crying and looked at Lily in disbelief.

"Yes. We should." Tears gratitude fell from her eyes.

Thailand

It was the day of Lalisa Bree Brucshweiler death anniversary. All the family members gathered to visit her together. They were surprised to see Pranpriya joined them that year as she skipped them by multiple excuses. Her grandparents were happy to see her again. That day, she decided to be called Lily again.

"Our Lily is back. Oh, darling, we miss you." Two grandmothers hugged her tightly, but she just smiled at them. Her grandfathers kissed her on both her cheeks.

"Yes, Grandma. I miss you too. Sorry that I left too long."

"Its okay dear. As long as you are happy and live well."

"Okay everyone let's move." Lisa's father guided them all to the garage where they will ride a minivan to the cemetery. The view along the way to the cemetery was the same as she saw years ago. The same trees and signboards.

After they arrived on the site, they walked a bit and stopped under a big. Under there lies Lalisa, her twins. Tears started to form in her eyes. Lalisa's smiling face on the tombstone pained her. They were to lookalike that made Pranpriya despise whenever looking at herself.

Flowers were sprinkled and each member was given time to have a moment with Lisa. Pranpriya decided to be the last one. When her bother's family finished, she stepped closer to Lisa's tomb.

"Hello, Lisa. How are you doing?" Pranpriya looked at the tombstone as if waiting for it to reply.

"You must hate me right now or maybe since before. I don't live the way you wanted me to live. I don't become myself instead I tried to be you. The result from my actions, our family was hurt and I... let go of someone that loved me dearly." Pranpriya stopped. Trying to hold her sob.

"Lisa, from today, I promise to live the way you wanted me to be. I will be Pranpriya. I need to find myself again. But I will be back better. I promise. So please watch over me. I love you."

Leaving the cemetery they headed back home. Pranpriya was silent along the way. Her family just let her be in her thought. She was planning something. Back in her old room, she grabbed her phone from her pouch. She changed her numbers and asked her members to not share it with anyone especially Jungkook. She dialled a number and waited for the call to be connected.

"Hello, Yang Sajangnim. It's me Lisa."

"Hello, yes Lisa. Are you okay?"

"Yes. I'm okay. Sajangnim. I want to tell you something. I... want to rest for a while. I need to find myself back after all the commotion happened before. I can't tell you how long but I want you to wait for me. For now, let the members have their solo activities first." The other line was silent. Lisa was nervous. She can't predict how her sajangnim would act.

"BLINKs will not like this Lisa. But for the sake of your wellbeing, I will allow it. Although you are on hiatus, I expect you to always communicate with your members and managers." Hearing about what BLINKs' reaction might be, Lisa was devastated. But she did this for BLINKs too. She promised to always update her status with her members.

The call ended after both Lisa and sajangnim agreed on some rules and terms during her hiatus. Suddenly, she received a video call. From her members.

"Eonni-deul. Hi." Lisa greeted.

"Yah, Lisa. We missed you a lot. Dalgomie missed you, so do Kuma and Kai." Jisoo said.

"Are you sure that Dalgom misses me? But, I missed them too. Eonni are you not angry?" She asked. She was referring to Lisa's last outburst.

"Lisa, I was a little bit upset but knowing that you bottled up your emotions and feelings for too long, I feel bad for you. I am not angry anymore. You are my sister. I love you to death. You can't discard me away that easy." Lisa laughed hearing to Jisoo.

"Eonni is that Lisa?" Rosé and Jennie's face appeared.

"Hello, Jennie eonni and Chaeng."

"Lisa when will you come back. I have no one to fight with." Rosé whined.

"Yah. Don't leave too long. I need my maknae to do errands for me." Jennie said while holding her phone on the sofa.

"The problem is eonni, I won't be home anytime sooner." Once she said that the three members froze.

"Why? Sajangnim do something to you?" Jisoo asked.

"If he did something, I will personally behead him. Lisa, what did he told you?" Jennie folded her long sleeve shirt and grabbed her fists.

"No eonni. I asked him to be excluded from group activities. I'm not leaving Blackpink. I just want to be back as someone new. The real me. I will be myself again."

"So you have met Lisa, I assumed," Rosé said. Lisa nodded. A peaceful smile graced her face.

"Yes. Please wait for Lily to come back guys." Lisa said in a cute voice

"We will wait even when it takes forever." Jisoo got a slap from Jennie once she said that.

"Yah eonni. That's too long. We would be too old and wrinkled at that time. Lisa yah. Take your time but don't be too long."

"Alright eonni. I love you."

"Love you too. Bye." The call ended. A new episode as Lily will begin soon.
