A week passed by. No news was heard from Jungkook. Lisa doesn't even touch her phone. She was heartbroken but ironically, she doesn't even in love with someone to be heartbroken. She informed her agency about her problems and she decided to withdraw from Blackpink but YG refused. She was given a hiatus to rest without a time limit. She knew the decision was unwise but she's not ready to face Jungkook or anything related to him.
Video calls from her members came every day. They were aware of her condition and always support her. Lisa told everything happened that day at her brother's house and BigHit company to her members. Lisa said sorry to Jisoo because of she indirectly involved in Lisa's comment about BTS.
Jin and Jisoo are siblings. Jisoo was disappointed in Lisa's action, but she said nothing. But Jisoo was hurt. She knew.
Here in Paris, in a cottage her family-owned, she sat on the gazebo in the garden. The weather was quite nice even though a bit chilly. It was early of Spring where the trees and plants were starting to bloom. She tightened the blanket wrapped her body.
Lisa was accompanied by her family when they came here last week and today her father, brother and sister-in-law must return Thailand and Korea to work. Her mother, however, decided to stay with her. Lisa argued with her mother saying that she was okay being left behind. Besides, their housekeepers were there for her, but Lisa's mother won't budge.
"Miss, please come inside for breakfast." Her housekeeper named Juliette called her. She followed her to the kitchen. Everyone was present and waiting for her. She felt something in the air when she looked at everyone. Her sister-in-law looked glowing. She sat beside her mother.
"Jade has good news for us, Lisa." Her mother said. She was giddy in her chair. Lisa turned to Jade and saw her brother put his arm on Jade's shoulder. Jade's face was flushing red.
"I'm gonna have a baby. We just found out last night. Its two months." She said cautiously. Was she afraid of Lisa's reaction? Lisa stared at Jade unmoved as she trying to analyse the words she heard. Soon, she gave a big radiant smile to Jade and her brother.
"Wow, really? Congratulations. Finally, I'm going to be an aunt." Jade nodded. Lisa was in disbelieved but happy. Maybe there was something good in every misery.
"We should celebrate now since you guys are leaving later," Lisa said. The breakfast continued with they were discussing the future baby. The discussion seemed to distract Lisa from her problems. For now.
Later that afternoon, Lisa once again in the garden. Her father, brother and sister-in-law already left, and her mother was nowhere to be seen. Her daily routines involving staring to the nothingness, eat and sleep.
Suddenly, her mother called. Behind her mother stood a person she was dreaded to meet. Jeon Jungkook. He looked handsome as always. But, she's not ready to meet him or listen to what he's going to say.
She didn't notice he was walking to her direction until he sat in front of her. Her mother and the housekeeper left them alone.
"How are you, doll?" He asked. His voice was so smooth that made Lisa's heart fluttered. Her eyes stung.
"Why are you here? How do you know that I'm here?" Lisa faced the roses' pots. Avoiding meeting his eyes.
"James told me. I have been texting him since last week." He sighed. He sounded exhausted.
'Exhausted with what? His new girlfriend maybe?' Lisa snickered.
"Lisa, what happened before was unexpected. I'm so sorry about what happened there. I am willing to give us a chance. So here I am to start over with you." He reached for Lisa's hands on the table and held them tight. A kiss planted on each of them. Tears flowed on Lisa's cheeks, but she doesn't notice them.
She pulled back her hands.
"I embarrassed myself that day. I was hoping that you would come to me at least to bring me out from the crowd. But you just stood there with her." Somi's glance that day flashed in her mind. She looked at her with a heated gaze.
Jungkook looked down in shame. He knew he should protect her, but her words were still lingering in his mind that day and Yeri also disappoint on Lisa's action.
"I'm sorry love. Please let me do anything for you to forgive me. I like very much." He let out a sob. He'd never cry for any woman except her mother and now he cried for Lisa. He had lowered his pride for her.
Lisa watched in him with a sad expression and small smile present on her face. She was tired. She wanted to rest now. She slowly stood from her stool and kneeled before Jungkook holding his hands.
"Go home, Jungkook. You can't change my decision. I'm tired even when I contribute no effort in our non-existed relationship. Maybe we are not meant to be together." She wiped his tears with her fingers. Resulting in more tears to flow from his brown orbs.
"Maybe we only fated to just cross-path. Please be happy and then I will be happy to." She ended her speech with kisses on both of his cheeks and a small peck on his lips. That was her farewell kiss to Jungkook. Her first and last with him.
'If only I fall in love a little bit sooner.' Lisa stood and leave the dumfounded Jungkook behind.
Jungkook was shaken and touched his lips. The feeling of Lisa's lips still presents on his. He cried and stumbled to the ground. The rain poured down greeting the Earth welcoming new season but to Jungkook, the sky was crying for both their jinxed fate.
