Whoever that loves this book, I am sorry for the delay. I just started working two weeks ago and everything was hectic. I'm not supposed to update tonight but an angel reached out for me. This is for you...
They didn't stop by the hotel, Jungkook drove his car to the beach direction. Lisa was clueless but she didn't ask. She was observing what he will do. When he unlocked the doors, Lisa knew that he had something to do in mind.
He passed the aquarium to Lisa and took out a torchlight, mineral water and plastic bags. He led her toward the beach and Lisa started to feel uneasy. She trusted her Jungkook, not this Jungkook.
"Why are we here, sunbae?"
He kept walking in front of her without answering.
"Sunbae!"
"Just follow me."
"Why?"
Since she a little bit left behind, she jogged to match his steps. The beach was merrier with tourists and a few camps. Lisa was glad that she was not left alone with him. He stopped by the fallen coconut trunk and told Lisa to place the aquarium on the sand.
"What are we doing here?"
"We will collect sand, small rocks and some twigs and shells for the aquarium. The shop owner told me to buy them, but I refused."
"Why not just tomorrow then? It's quite late."
The number of people on the beach gradually decreasing and the weather was getting chilly. Jungkook looked at Lisa like she grew another head.
"Don't ever abuse the animals you want to keep. They also need food, shelter and all necessities as soon as possible. They also have rights like a human. I told you to follow me this afternoon, but you refused. So here we are now."
He replied sarcastically that made her pouted.
Lisa tried not to be scolded by him so, she decided to just do hat he asked her and placed the mineral water on the sand. Lisa held the torchlight and Jungkook held the plastic bag. Together they squatted to collect the seashells they found on the sand.
They had a good time laughing when they thought they collected the shells but ended collecting trash instead. Sponges, corks and bottle caps but smiles appeared on their faces when they found the shells on the right size.
There were times that Lisa felt his eyes on her. He was staring but she ignored him and he was smiling that made her heart fluttered.
They spent the next 30 minutes and then they were joking around by throwing away what each other were collecting.
"Is it enough?"
Lisa eyed the bag he was holding, and he nodded.
"We need a small twig. That's all."
Lisa scanned the area and not far from there she a twig peeking from under the sand. She tried pulling it out. But the twig wasn't small at all. The more she pulled the longer it was, and it ended up under Jungkook's feet.
Lisa was too late to notice, and she flopped to the ground. Laughs erupted from both of them attracting the attention of the campers.
"Are you okay?"
He offered her his hand to help her stand which she gladly reciprocated. Jungkook bend down to break the end of the long twig and brought it the coconut trunk.
Jungkook offered himself to decorate the aquarium and Lisa just let him do whatever he wanted and be his assistant.
In a blink of eyes, the aquarium was set for her turtles to settle. They were swimming excitedly in the aquarium.
